Honoured to give the keynote speech at Amnesty’s conference on torture in London yesterday. Then dashed back to Edinburgh for a very romantic evening with Nadira – and Cameron!

“They have – but I had to turn it down as I was working on a long secondment to Russia – which is part of the reason that I know considerably more about the facts of what is going on there than you are ever likely to do so.”
Just because you have lived in a country does not mean you know what’s going on, and from my experience you don’t. I am in contact with people in Russia on a daily basis. Very few of them support your pro-fascist views (about 10,000 if I recall). So although you might like people to think you know what’s going on, you’re way off beam, and express more pro-western views, pro-Yeltsin views. The curtain you hide behind is transparent.
Clark; ” I would never do so”
Do I really have to remind you that you should be the last person to pull somebody up for misusing private AND confidential information to attack somebody to get back at them because you were losing in a debate ?
Clear % pure projection ! It’s exactly what you have done with your comment that Putin is resposible for this killing !
I didn’t say that – I referred to the regime, which would include the nexus that has grown up around it – and it could be sins of omission rather than commission. But YOU do need to ask yourself the question why it is there have been so many noteworthy assassinations of opposition figures and those who raise awkward questions? Perhaps we could have Macky’s explanations rather than the constant attempts to rubbish those who don’t share his obvious sycophancy to Putin and his regime.
@Clark, your inane malice loaded pathetic “question” @ 11.38 is worthy of Habbabkuk himself. Shameless !
Resident Dissident; “obvious sycophancy to Putin and his regime”

“John, do you regard yourself to be working in the interests of the Kremlin and the Russian oligarchy?”
I don’t know anybody in the Kremlin or any of the oligarchs, either in Russia or the Ukraine or the UK. I despise oligarchs. They are destroying the planet. Those oligarchs who control the BBC and other MSM are the ones responsible for your indoctrination. They did not report this civil war. The only way Craig Murray can have his voice heard regarding the sending of UK military personnel to try and perpetuate civil war in Ukraine is through Russia Today. No wonder John Kerry and Hilary Clinton are worried about its spreading influence. It is frightening for them when the truth can be told as well as the shit they pump out.
Macky, my questions are direct and simple. Please answer them equally simply and directly.
John Goss, my questions are to you, too.
Do either of you consider yourself to be deliberately promoting the Kremlin’s agenda? Is that something you’d be proud to do?
I would never support fascists.
You read this blog after a while away and you all sound like a squabbling family. Its quite nice though there may be an issue with some here who appear to be so opposed to the Anglo establishment that they are pro Russian and that leaves them supporting a regime which is the antithesis of what they believe in. Like Luther asking Disney to purify the Catholic church.
Macky, 11:48 pm:
These are insults, the mod should delete them.
My questions are not emotionally loaded; they are direct. Please answer directly.

At least this doesn’t seem to happen here.
Mr Goss
When have I ever expressed a pro Yeltsin view?
“I am in contact with people in Russia on a daily basis.”
I bet you are!
We could still have your views on the following facts (which are really beyond dispute) regarding Russia and Putin:
The flat 13% income tax rate
The imprisonment of Alexei Navalny for distributing political leaflets
The death of Sergei Magnitsky and his subsequent(sic) trial
The death of Litvinenko
The increased capital outflows from Russia under Putin
The cuts in all public spending apart from defence
The state takeover of all television channels and nearly all newspapers and radio channels
The censorship of the internet
The consistently poor ranking of Russia in indices of corruption, human rights and press freedom
The $5bn spent on the Presidential Palace
Putin’s declared income of less than £100k per year
The continuing success of the LDPR in elections
The police brutality to immigrants in Moscow
The racist posters of Obama in public places
I could add a lot more – but since you proclaim you are not a coward and have deep knowledge on Russia (and at least 10,000 contacts?) perhaps you might wish to share it with everyone here.
Over to you Mr Goss – we all await you education on these specific matters.
Clark; “These are insults, the mod should delete them”
No, they are accurate adjectives in response an ad hominem posing as a question;

“These are insults, the mod should delete them.”
No – they show you are winning the argument.
Macky
You may also take up my challenge to Mr Goss if you wish. We already know you approve of his right wing friends.
Macky, my questions are direct, simple and not emotionally loaded.
Would you deliberately promote the agenda of the Kremlin? Would you be proud to do so?
John Goss, same questions to you.
Please answer directly, like this, which is my own position:
*I would never support fascists*
You two seem very reluctant to answer my questions.
“Resident Dissident does not believe himself to be “supporting fascists” as you put it, and I would never do so.”
The problem is Clark it is not a matter of whether he believes himself to be supporting fascists but whether he is. If the family history provided by RD is correct, and I have good historical reason to be suspicious of his comments, then the grandfather within his family who fought the NAZIs would be ashamed of him supporting the fascists in Kiev who have waged this onholy war against the Donbas. I have many times linked some awfully gruesome photographs of civilian deaths in Donetsk, Lugansk and other areas of the Donbas without a single offering of sympathy, or acknowledgment of the crimes, from any of you. You want to turn a blind eye. Then, when in an obvious false flag incident, Petro Poroshenko talks of Tornado launch systems being used in Mariupol by separatists, Resident Dissident gives full support to the fascists. When evidence is given about a passenger plane (MH17) being shot down by fighter pilot, Vladislav Voloshin, all those vocal commenters, like the western media that feeds their brains, goes quiet having previously been gung-ho on behalf of accusations that it was shot down by the separatists using a BUK missile system. I have to draw my conclusions on what I read. I would not use the terms in support of fascists, or fascist sympathishers lightly. It is an awful accusation!
Clark; “I would never support fascists.”
Yet you refuse to acknowledge the “most blatant coups in history”, a Neo-Nazi contaminated one; plus you spread propaganda for the Kiev Junta;
“I regard the presence of Russian and pro-Russian forces in east Ukraine as proven”
“I accept that there was widespread support for the overthrow of the former Ukrainian government”
“it was the people who overthrew the government, no matter that the new government proceeded to attack east Ukraine”
Fool, thank you for the link:
John Goss and Macky, please answer my simple questions before we go on.
You misunderstood RD. The 10,000 are those among all the multi-millions who supported the fascist dictatorship in Kiev. That is those few who support your insider knowledge of Russia.
Clark, it was Node who posted Fool’s link first.
https://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2015/02/amnesty-international-conference-on-torture/comment-page-10/#comment-511664
@Clark, I won’t dignify your insulting “questions” with a response; when you learn to engage in a civil debate, then try again.
Over & out !
By the way, like Vladimir Putin, I express my sympathy to the family of Boris Nemtsov.
It is now over an hour since I asked my simple questions. John Goss and Macky have each posted six comments in that time, but neither have yet posted any direct answers.
I therefore conclude that they are both deliberately and knowingly advancing the agenda of the Kremlin, but their reluctance in answering suggests that they are not proud to be doing so.
Note that I have repeatedly been accused of incivility and more, but that my questions contained no terms of abuse nor anything offensive. just direct, straightforward questions, like, “do you work for Tesco?”
Node, thank you for the link, and John Goss, thank you for crediting Node.
Here’s to Spock.
Clark I don’t know about Macky but despite my Russian connections I have no idea what the agenda of the Kremlin is, do you? But if it helps with your opinion of me I endorse foreign minister Lavrov’s accusations yesterday condeming the west for trying to dominate the world. Happy?

Or even “condemning”.
