Honoured to give the keynote speech at Amnesty’s conference on torture in London yesterday. Then dashed back to Edinburgh for a very romantic evening with Nadira – and Cameron!

“then the grandfather within his family who fought the NAZIs would be ashamed of him supporting the fascists in Kiev who have waged this onholy war against the Donbas”
We will never know, but given the view of his sons – who have passed on his war medals to my son, I very much doubt it. Given his father disappeared in the Gulag and other relatives were affected by the Holodomor (which also occurred within parts of Russia and Belarus) I think Mr Goss might be surprised at their vehemence towards the KGB and its former operative.
And no I don’t turn a blind eye to the deaths in Eastern Ukraine – it would be quite easy to indulge in such a silly game with reciprocal sick pictures, including those by the DPR even before the Ukrainian Govt responded to the rebels. No government fascist or otherwise is not going to respond when its territory I taken by force – is Mr Goss aware of any cases where this is not the case. He also fails to understand that there were many other forces in the Ukraine other than fascist ones reacting to the outright corruption of Yanikovych, his constitutiuonal meddling, and his sellout to Putin’s USSR 2.0 (for which he had no electoral mandate whatsoever) – and who were just plain sick of Putin’s long history of meddling in Ukrainian affairs – and if he thinks this reaction can be solely attributed to Nuland and various aid programmes (which quite frankly quite small beer when compared with what has been given to Russia in the past e.g. through the World Bank, EBRD and TACIS, then he is yet again allowing his prejudice (which is now pretty near to racism directed against Ukrainians) to get in the way of the facts.
The fact is the “fascist” stick has been used consistently by Putin and before him the Soviet Union to beat anyone who seeks their independence from Moscow.
And of course Mr Goss uses all of this as an excuse for offering his views on some of the current facts about Russia and Putin that I outlined. Why is this?
Thanks Dave for Heathcote Williams claiming back John Keats who was briefly stolen by the US.
I have no idea what the agenda of the Kremlin is, do you?
Perhaps he thought you had some expertise on this matter – given that Putin wants Russia to be seen as a superpower It does seem rather untenable that it has no discernible agenda even among its supporters, for who being anti-West would appear to be enough.
“No government fascist or otherwise is not going to respond when its territory is taken by force”.
So we are in agreement then that the fascists who deposed the legitimate, however corrupt government, of Yanukovich using western cash were in the wrong?
“Perhaps he thought you had some expertise on this matter”.
No, I try to speak about what I know about. There are plenty of others who just waffle on.
Perhaps this will convince you that the government in Kiev is fascist, but I doubt it because it is being condemned by Putin and broadcast on Russia Today.

As to the Holodomor ‘myth’ put about by Kiev, according to this article, the world recession left those in the capital comfortable while the Donbas again suffered badly. But for humanitarian aid from Russia this would have been the third Holodomor inflicted on Eastern Ukraine.

Remember Poroshenko’s speech in which he said he would leave the poor people of Eastern Ukraine cowering in cellars and how they were described by him as ‘sub-human’. This is the man the west is arming. Shame on the west.

It’s Down To The Quality..not just the content..sure the meaning might come later…but the important thing, after you have been attracted to the words and songs is..if you get lucky..try and make friends with these most wonderful people..its ok to fall out and get angry..but what is an artist or a musician going to attack you with ..a paint brush or a guitar or a really loud voice..we don’t have any guns or bullets..We live in England..We don’t need them.

“So we are in agreement then that the fascists who deposed the legitimate, however corrupt government, of Yanukovich using western cash were in the wrong?”
So if Cameron were awarding half the state contracts to his brother, signing up the UK to actually become the 51st State of the US, making changes to the constitution so that his position couldn’t be challenged and then attacking those who demonstrated against all of this (which might even include some members of the BNP and EDL) – then Mr Goss would sit there idly doing nothing waiting until the next election – particularly if Cameron had a history of being involved in previous rigging of elections in which his political opponents had been poisoned by the US????
And still Mr Goss avoids the opportunity of telling us all his expert views about the facts of Modern Russia that I outlined. Talk about puffballs.
As for Mr Goss’s further episode of Holodomor denial (I will not be a coward and put denial in inverted commas) the man is really sickening – this is up with his links to the Rothchilds pages pushing Holocaust denial and anti-Semitism by the bucket load. And he wonders why he is called a Stalinist from time to time.
“No, I try to speak about what I know about. ”
So let us know your thoughts on the facts that I identified. Or don’t you have any?

From Mr Goss’s link on Holodomor denial
“At Maidan, the Berkut were unarmed and ordered to stand and take the punishment.”
Does Mr Goss really believe this to be the case – despite all the evidence to the contrary. Were all the deaths and people who went to hospital attributable to a few fascist thugs? Was every single photo of armed Berkut just a mock up? Could we have the evidence to support this assertion
“By the way, like Vladimir Putin, I express my sympathy to the family of Boris Nemtsov.”
Like Beria’s bodyguard handing a bouquet of flowers to each of his victims.
It is a pity that Leonard Nimoy blotted his copybook by collaborating in this revolting stuff. He was the narrator.

The murder of Boris Nemtsov. Cui bono? Surely not President Putin in this violently anti Russian atmosphere where the flames of war against Russia are being fanned by the likes of Sawers.
The state broadcaster (BBC not Pravda!) has these two items on its front page this morning.
Putin critic Boris Nemtsov shot dead

@Clark & RD, next time you try to support your arguments using Bellingcat, you will be doing so in full knowledge of this;

Seems like the Guardian is vying with RD for the greatest number of “Smoking guns” that have turned into dud starting pistols firing nothing but blanks.
Radio 4 now “Torture works”.
“Like Beria’s bodyguard handing a bouquet of flowers to each of his victims.”
Like the first cuckoo I am waiting for the first false flag claim from the Putinistaa and their allies – how long do you think it will take?
MI6 – “torture produces useful intelligence”
Note he did not say that torture produces accurate information. “Useful intelligence” can include false confessions, which indeed are useful.
Macky – perhaps you should read Mr Draitser’s article as well rather a lot of polemic but precious little in terms of evidence to rebut the original claims I’m afraid – not liking Brown Moses and his work in Syria or a dislike of the Guardian really do not amount to evidence I’m afraid
“Seekers of justice for the Palestinians should ignore this video of Nimoy speaking on the Jewish values in Star Trek.”
So why do you provide the link? Really brave attacking the recently deceased.

@RD, after so many “smoking guns” exploding in your face, I doubt you really understand the definition of “evidence”; your latest evidence free assertion that Putin is behind this latest murder, proves you are not actually a slow learner, but rather a non learner.

Which is of course not what I said – but it takes a particular type of coward who starts their criticism even before the body is buried.
