Honoured to give the keynote speech at Amnesty’s conference on torture in London yesterday. Then dashed back to Edinburgh for a very romantic evening with Nadira – and Cameron!

I think the real point – which the Mr Gosses of this blog are trying to avoid addressing – is not who killed Nemtsov (rasPutin, some faction in the Kremlin, whatever) but that this is how political, economic and social discourse is regulated in Putin’s Russia.
Opposition figures, democrats, people trying to run an honest business, probing journalists…..killed, imprisoned, cowed or driven into exile.
Only in Putin’s Russia – nowhere else in the Europe Russia claims to be a part of!
Habba,
I think the KGB must be interfering with your posts. Check under your bed for reds immediately!
Mr Goss
I am still awaiting your views on the facts of Modern Russia as set out two days ago. Are members of Left Unity really in favour of a flat rate 13% income tax in countries such as Russia that now have a higher Gini coefficient than the UK?
I really would appreciate the views of Mr Goss on Sergei Magnitsky – bit difficult to blame that one on the CIA I would have thought.
I see the old rogue finger was brought into play again earlier.

PS If you are ordering any flowers from M&S online, do not include the words ‘Jesus’ or ‘Christ’ in the message. They won’t get through.
‘Tis true. I read the beginning of the Times piece online.
‘Jesus banned from M&S flowers

M&S’s automatic phrase-checker seemed to object to the word ‘Christ’ in messagesM&S’s automatic phrase-checker seemed to object to the word ‘Christ’ in messages ( Chris Ratcliffe/Bloomberg ) photo
THE words “Christ” and “Jesus Christ” have been placed on a list of banned abusive and offensive terms by Marks & Spencer.
Customers who try to include them in greetings with online purchases of flowers are prevented from completing their orders.
The policy emerged this weekend when a pastor’s wife was blocked from ordering a £35 bouquet of spring flowers as a gift. She was confronted with an on-screen warning: “Sorry there’s something in your message we can’t write.”
The blocked message ran: “Thank you for your care and practical help for Margaret in her last days . . . With love from her church family, Christ Church Teddington.”
Gerardine Stockford, 53, rang M&S’s call centre on Friday and was told a word must have been blocked. It turned out to be “Christ…….’

Ludicrous diversions thrive on persecution, so obvious here and frequently in Britain’s administration where D-Notices, the rather archaic Official Secrets Act(OSA) and closed courts and secret evidence prevent the truth dominating.
One of the most serious casualties of the ‘War on Terror’ was the ancient principle that justice should be done in public after hearing arguments from both parties.
Even in cases where the answer might appear to be obvious there is a basic right to be heard and to challenge the evidence against you. Judges must be open to public scrutiny if they are to maintain confidence and authority. Both of these fundamental rights are now specifically protected in civil and criminal cases by Article 6 of the Human Rights Act.
The HRA protects:
1. Right to life
2. Freedom from torture and inhuman or degrading treatment
3. Right to liberty and security
4. Freedom from slavery and forced labour
5. Right to a fair trial
6. No punishment without law
7. Respect for your private and family life, home and correspondence
8. Freedom of thought, belief and religion
9. Freedom of expression
10. Freedom of assembly and association
11. Right to marry and start a family
12. Protection from discrimination in respect of these rights and freedoms
13. Right to peaceful enjoyment of your property
14. Right to education
15. Right to participate in free elections
The government-backed review of the Pat Finucane murder scandal by Sir Desmond de Silva found that a number of state employees “furthered and facilitated” the Ulster Defence Association’s targeting of the Belfast solicitor, and there were efforts within the security forces to thwart the criminal investigation into the murder.

25 years after the murder of leading human rights solicitor Pat Finucane by a loyalist death squad in collusion with the British State a number of events where held by supporters of the Finucane family to show the British and Irish governments that even after 25 years the campaign for truth and justice into the murder of Pat will continue and that he will never be forgotten.

Marks and Spencer was one of the sponsors of my first play “Something Fishy” at the Midland Arts Centre. I find it sad (pathetic even) to see that they do not allow messages which include the name Jesus or Christ for flower departments. I still believe in boycotting Israeli products until they allow Palestinians to live freely in their homeland.

Mr Goss is probably waiting for his handlers to tell hum how to reply.
But I can help, as always. Mr Goss could try one of the following – or even, knowing him, both at the same time 🙂
1/. Sergei Magnitsky never existed; he’s a fictional character dreamt up by the CIA
2/. Sergei Magnitsky did exist but his killers were not Russian gaolers but CIA assassins infiltrated into Magnitsk’s Russian gaol.

I’m very dismayed to read that,a branch of Pegida, are to meet in Edinburgh this month.
Pegida are renowned for their stance, against the “Islamification” of Europe, Pegida which translates to “Patriotic Europeans” has a large following, particularly in Germany.
Their main gripe, is that Europe has been flooded with Muslim’s, of course the genuine culprits, for the influx of immigrants isn’t the Muslim community per se.
No each individual European government, can be held to account, with regards to the influx of Muslim’s across Europe. Albeit Italy aside, whom have seen an surge in refugees, landing at Lampedusa due to conflicts across the Mediterranean sea, which again if one were honest, could partly blame the EU countries, for their part in the conflicts.
Pegida have an even more ugly side, in their affiliations to such organisations, such as the EDL and the BNP.
The right wing establishment who couldn’t possibly openly encourage groups such a Pegida, revel in the divisiveness, that they produce in society, ergo, they divert the attentions from the more serious issues, to ones of racial and religious matter.
So mad, Jim Murphy, is to defend his East Renfrewshire seat, Murphy claims he will stand as a MP, then he will in 2016, stand as a MSP.
Murphy intimated that he would then give up his MP status to concentrate on his MSP status, as leader of London Labour in Scotland.
If I were a East Renfrewshire constituent, I’d think twice, before electing, Labour’s Jim Murphy, due to the strong possibility he may not, fufil his commitments to that constituency.

If so I would be grateful if you could post it.
Or are you acting out your usual part, just pissing in the wind.
The latter explanation, seems the more likely.

Dear Habbabreak Users
Calamity! The newer versions of Firefox (35+) have broken compatibility with the Greasemonkey software. The result is the Habbabreak options window will not open, leaving us unable to make any option changes.
I am too busy fermenting global insurrection to implement a work around, if I even could, which is far from clear. Thank heavens folks considerably smarter than me, the Greasemonkey developers, are working hard on our behalf. The solution is to wait for the release of Greasemonkey 2.4.
While we wait you have choices. You may choose to not update Firefox (if you are still below Firefox 35). Or you can either live with your current options. Or disable the Habbabreak user script (via the Firefox Tools>Add-Ons menu).
Please accept the humble apologies of this free thinking, free loving, open source script cherub.

Why don’t you challenge Mr Goss on his link claiming that the CIA murdered Nemsov? It isn’t as though Nemsov was the first opponent of Putin to be murdered, or that Putin is quite happy to use the media, and an army of commenters in the blogosphere, to constantly whip up hatred against those who oppose him is it?
Britain’s Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond and his French counterpart, Laurent Fabius, said Syrian President Bashar al-Assad must not be part of any future government or participate in the US-led alliance against Islamic State.
In a joint statement published in Arabic daily Al-Hayat and France’s Le Monde, the French and British foreign ministers dismissed those who sought a rapprochement with Assad, arguing the Syrian leader was using the fear of ISIS for his own means.
From the palace where he is hunkered down, Bashar al-Assad is not just waging a war against his own people; he is also fighting to improve his public image, the ministers wrote.
………………………………….
Its quite astonishing, that the UK and French foreign minster’s, can, belittle Assad, with the words, “fear, and using ISIS for his own means.”
Isn’t that exactly what we’re doing?
“Russia’s Investigative Committee said it was looking into a number of possible motives for Mr Nemtsov’s murder.
They include his opposition to the Ukraine conflict, Islamic extremism – Mr Nemtsov was Jewish – and an opposition “sacrifice” of its leader to destabilise the state and undermine the president.”
Strangely enough they have excluded the most obvious motivations from their enquiries already. Why is this?
Or you could just ignore Habbabkuk’s posts, but you can’t do that can you?
^ To “Afrend”.

Yes if Mr Goss has evidence, he should produce it, and not sidetrack, as for Putin, I’m not a fan, I know he’s not remained this long in power without a ruthless streak.
However I require evidence that he gave the go ahead to murder Mr Nemtsov, the circumstances are further complicated due to the wests, involvement in Russian affairs.
The question remains who gains, and who loses by Mr Nemtsov’s death?
As for current theories as to the murderers of Nemsov the current list will help – no guesses as to which ones the Putin sycophants will favour. The serious ones are at the end of the list in my view.
Official:
– Islamists angry at Nemtsov’s support for the Charlie Hebdo cartoonists; this theory was indicated by Vladimir Markin, spokesman for the Investigative Committee)
– Other opposition leaders within Russia or dark outside forces interested in “destabilizing Russia” and willing to make a “sacrificial victim” (Vladimir Markin); these include “right-wing Ukrainian field commanders like Dmitro Yarosh and Dmitro Korchinsky, ex-leader of UNA-UNSO,” who recently spoke of “the need to commit terrorist attacks in Russia (TV Zvezda)
– Exposure of corruption in purchase of medical equipment in Yaroslavl (Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesman).
Semi-Official
– Other opposition leaders who have scores to settle.
– Ukrainian paymasters disappointed that Nemtsov didn’t sufficiently destabilize Russian society; LifeNews claimed an investigator told them this hypothesis:
“Boris Nemtsov traveled to Ukraine a number of times and actively contacted the representatives of the so-called party of war, whose purpose was to overthrow the government in Russia. They could have sent cash to him to destabilize the situation in Russia. For this cash, Nemtsov’s Ukrainian partners may have quite likely expected from him work in splitting Russian society. But not only did the split not happen, on the contrary, a consolidation of Russian society occurred. Understanding that they would not obtain any result, Nemtsov’s sponsors could have removed the politician, unable to realize their plans, said a source in the investigative group.”
– Third party in love triangle jealous of his relationship with model; LifeNews claimed a high-ranking law-enforcement official told them this theory
“The girl with whom Boris Nemtsov was with at the moment of his murder is a citizen of Ukraine. As we have already determined, she recently flew from Moscow to Switzerland to have an abortion from the politician. We can’t rule out that an ordinary conflict over her could have taken place.”
– Political activity related to position as deputy in Yaroslavl legislature (Interfax source)
– Business activity (Interfax source)
Unofficial – Pro-government
– The CIA; Russia-Insider.com says “There are folks in Langley tonight who get a promotion.”
– Ramzan Kadryov says, “Western intelligence striving by any means to provoke internal conflict” was responsible
– Mikhail Khodorkovsky, in order to discredit Putin
– Other opposition figures, to create a martyr and undermine the government
Unofficial – Anti-government
– “Novorossiya” fighters or supporters
– Anti-Maidan movement (bikers, Afghan vets, Cossacks)
– Anyone motivated by “climate of hatred” incited by Anti-Maidan marchers, Dmitry Kiselyev, state TV, billboards, print media against “fifth columnists”
– Putin government through FSB or through cut-outs; opposition Duma deputy said in a speech this weekend at Tufts University Ilya Ponomarev says, “I think it’s pretty obvious that it’s this regime, this system that is to blame.”

Well you see, “Afrend” (whose usual name is no doubt known to the Mods) has just jumped in now to help out/divert from his old mate Mr Goss, who’s getting a bit of a roasting at the moment from myself and others who have seen through him.
I wonder what favours Mr Goss provides in return.
“The question remains who gains, and who loses by Mr Nemtsov’s death?”
But of course you always rule hatred and intolerance of opposing views out of the running – despite the long history of such being the motivation for all sorts of evil throughout Russia and the rest of the world.
