Re: Craig appearance on RT – evidence

I am not sure how to link directly. Have a look at page 10, comments by Clark, 28/02/2015 12:32 pm and 1:51 pm.

    Kind regards,

    John

John Goss; “But what is really worrying is that his mind has been twisted by those who come here with an agenda, like Habbabkuk, Resident Dissident, Anon et al, with whom over issues like Palestine he would never agree”

I actually suspect the truth is not this John; Clark has recently stated that he sees himself as engaging in “putting out fires” on this Blog, in other words he has self-appointed himself to the role of being the ultimate arbiter of acceptable opinion on this blog; his understanding & definition of what is acceptable is if sometimes agrees or disagrees with Craig’s own opinions. So Clark is acting really as a self appointed enforcer of Craig’s worldview on this blog.

The problem is that on the issue of Ukraine, Clark loyally trying to enforce Craig’s view is like trying to push a square peg into a circle, because in the world of progressive opinion is Craig is out on his own with his pov, as every leading political commentator/analysis in the liberal world, sees straight through the “most blatant coup in history”; even some Right Wing commentators are honest enough to realise the realpolitik reaction that Russia has taken, is not only natural & justified, but also moderate & deescalating, & seeking a peaceful solution.

Clark’s desperation to try to round the square peg, is what has lead him both to rely on the crackpot nonsense supplied by the pro-Establishment stooges here, with the predicated consequential farcical results; so the truth is Clark is not only a johnny come lately iro Ukraine, he has no really interest in the issues per se except to enforce Craig’s general position.

John Goss; ” Noddy and Resident Dissident are all puff and puffball dust”

Probably so, but that’s not the point John; Clark not only let these nasty real life threats to you pass without comment, but also then chose to berate you for a mild comment made here in the normal cut & thrust of internet debate.

  • John Goss

“As I have said Mr Goss the only views and words Left Unity will have to consider will be your own.”

At least there will be some sense. Unlike the Labour Party, Conservative Party, Liberal Party and Scottish Nationalists, which do everything through an electoral college to make sure they have Yes Men, left Unity allows freedom of speech, you know democracy, freedom of the press. Please sent as many of my comments as you see fit and be sure to include the ones where you ridiculed Left Unity!

Ah, an informer – how very, er, Stalinist.

There is, of course, plenty of evidence to show that Putin and his associates have close and increasing ties to the far-far right across Europe, sharing an apparent ideology based on hating the EU, NATO, gay rights in particular, human rights in general and non-white cultures. They are, they say, for ‘judeo-christian values’, and a strong state. Le Pen, Farage, Pegida – all Putin admirers, by the way.

    Good background:

Macky, I think much of your 18.21 pm comment is right. Clark does see himself as the voice of Craig in Craig’s absence. I suspect if Craig realised that he was wrong and decided that the coup in Kiev was the basis for the civil-war which is hopefully over now, and that Russia had nothing to do with it, that would soon be Clark’s opinion too. I recall KoWN reprimanding Habbabkuk for being a teacher’s pet but I have never seen such sycophancy as Clark as portrayed recently. It must be galling for Craig. But underneath I really think that Clark is a decent person who has just got in with the wrong crowd over Ukraine.

  • Resident Dissident

Whatever happened to neither Moscow or Washington but International Socialism!

Macky – please shut up – you have made your point and stuck your nasty labels on all your opponents – you really have nothing of substance to contribute, and believe me that view is based on reading a lot of your bile and drivel.

  • technicolour

Perhaps instead of cosily berating Clark, you two might actually examine the facts about the Kremlin’s buddies and supporters and decide whether you wish to continue to publicly support such violent haters, or not. This lack of binary thinking in the old Left is really quite incredible.

  • Peacewisher

@Clark: I’d like to see truth examined on this blog, not “official accounts” accepted without question.

@Technicolour: there are clearly very violent people on “both sides”, and many shades between, as there were in the original cold war. What’s your point?

  • Macky

“NATO expansion is in plain violation of Russia’s security interests, a point that one would expect the leaders of a country that nearly brought the world to the brink of nuclear annihilation over the installation of Soviet missiles in Cuba to understand.”

    http://www.counterpunch.org/2015/02/27/the-metamorphosis-of-vladimir-putin/

@RD, projection is such a revealing trait.

@Technicolour, do “the facts about the Kremlin’s buddies and supporters” justify you to “publicly support such violent haters” such as those engaged in ethnic cleansing in the east of Ukraine, and those Western thugs seeking to start a conflict with Russia so that they & their friends can enrich themselves ?

See your illogical smear is only valid if my also is.

  • John Goss

Technicolour I agree that it is rather disconcerting that so many fascists, other than those in Kiev, have taken a liking to Putin. The only argument seems to be that he cannot help it who chooses to admire him, and when you have as many enemies outside Russia as Putin has perhaps you need all the friends you can get. My guess is that they admire him for being the only world leader to stand up to the Yanks.

It was not always like that. Here is Putin, and Bush, Harper there too, all friendly wearing Ao Dai costumes of Vietnam, emblazoned with the square and compass symbols of Freemasonry so Bush can show who wielded the power over the slaughter of so many Vietnamese with weapons of mass destruction.

    Conflict…

There’s propaganda on one side (he did it…)
And propaganda the other way (no he did it..)

The only way the truth can possibly emerge is for hard evidence to be gathered and objectively scrutinised. Different opinions will be supported or confounded, individual items of evidence will be scrutinised even more closely, and opinion will gradually become objective truth.

Why can’t we do that on this blog, which does have opinions on both sides, which are all valid and require equal scrutiny. Would you be able to coordinate such a thing, Clark?

” Can someone please explain why this naked man is trying to escape from Buckingham palace.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRyM1TJE6HA

Feel free to voice your theories. ”

Crude fake. The building he’s trying to climb out of is clearly not Buckingham Palace as comparison with this shot from Google Street View proves:-

    http://jonrosling.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/Pic1wide.jpg

No pillasters and the windows are all wrong. Further why no reaction from anybody when he falls and there must’ve been hundreds of tourists around at the time so how come only this footage has emerged?

Feel free to keep on believing it though.

  • Macky

Peacewisher; “Would you be able to coordinate such a thing, Clark?”

Are you serious ?! How can you possibly ask such a thing if you have followed the debate for the last few pages; Clark has used every dishonest & nasty tactic possible to force people to only accept his version of reality, and has tried to bully people to leave the Blog if they dare object.

  • Peacewisher

As the massacre in Odessa (and whether it was a massacre) was discussed at length in an earlier thread initiated by Craig, it might be useful to apply “who dun it” to this matter as it rises to become the International incident (and in my opinion scandal) it should have become when it occurred last May.

I suspect that the US will use the latest “provocation” as an excuse to apply further sanctions, and UK news outlets are already using this to assist their case for increasing the UK’s Defence budget, led by Dr Fox from Washington.

I listened with interest to a debate on torture between Edwina Currie and another commentator. Currie said that the UK would never support torture. Other commentator brought about evidence of UK torture, and she agreed. Other commentator gave examples of UK following US policy and suggested that UK does what US asks (e.g. invading Iraq), so why not on torture (or something similar). Edwina said No, and didn’t want to discuss further. This was a shame, because there was some acknowledgement of evidence-based reasoning… and then belief system kicked in.

  • Peacewisher

    *correction
Other commentator…. US torture, and she agreed.

Do you actually know what a pillaster is? those ruddy great embossed pillars either side of the naked man are pillasters, you know those things with the Ionic capitials.

As for the windows, in my opinion they’re similar, to Bucks palace.

    check out the photos.

Bucks palace does have pillasters at either side of the raised portico, and at the gable ends above the ashlar stone and quoins.

“Technicolour I agree that it is rather disconcerting that so many fascists, other than those in Kiev, have taken a liking to Putin. The only argument seems to be that he cannot help it who chooses to admire him”

    – In Hungary, for example, Putin has taken the Jobbik party under his wing. The third-largest party in the country, Jobbik has supporters who dress in Nazi-type uniforms, spout anti-Semitic rhetoric, and express concern about Israeli “colonization” of Hungary. The party has capitalized on rising support for nationalist economic policies, which are seen as an antidote for unpopular austerity policies and for Hungary’s economic liberalization in recent years. Russia is bent on tapping into that sentiment. In May 2013, Kremlin-connected right-wing Russian nationalists at the prestigious Moscow State University invited Jobbik party president Gabor Vona to speak. Vona also met with Russia Duma leaders including Ivan Grachev, chairman of the State Duma Committee for Energy and Vasily Tarasyuk, deputy chairman of the Committee on Natural Resources and Utilization, among others…. The Kremlin’s ties to France’s extreme-right National Front have also been growing stronger. Marine Le Pen, the party leader, visited Moscow in June 2013 at the invitation of State Duma leader Sergei Naryshkin, a close associate of Putin’s. She also met with Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin and discussed issues of common concern, such as Syria, EU enlargement, and gay marriage. France’s ProRussia TV, which is funded by the Kremlin, is staffed by editors with close ties to the National Front who use the station to espouse views close to National Front’s own perspective on domestic and international politics.”

    for example.

“@Technicolour, do “the facts about the Kremlin’s buddies and supporters” justify you to “publicly support such violent haters” such as those engaged in ethnic cleansing in the east of Ukraine, and those Western thugs seeking to start a conflict with Russia so that they & their friends can enrich themselves ?”

No. Which is why I have not. This is known as ‘binary thinking’.

  • Peacewisher

@Macky; I haven’t been following it too closely, but Clark does seem to be recently making out that, regarding the evil empire, objective thinking is irrational. He asked me a question, I think… and I put something back to him. Wonder what Mr Spock would make of it all!

    http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/top-adviser-chancellor-george-osborne-5251411

One of Chancellor George Osborne’s senior advisers on economic policy has been captured on video smoking crack cocaine in a drugs den.

Prof Douglas McWilliams, who last year estimated we would all be £165 a year better off by the election, is seen inhaling it through a glass tube at a flat in North London.

The executive chairman of influential City think-tank the Centre for Economic and Business Research then slumps dazed on a sofa after repeatedly smoking on the makeshift crack pipe involving a miniature Martell Cognac bottle.
    …………………………

No wonder the UK’s economy has went to hell in a hand basket, they’re all shitfaced.

  • Peacewisher

@Technicolour: You may not have noticed this, but the Hundgarian-speaking part of Ukraine is almost as anti-Kiev as the Donbass. They are nearest to Lvov, which of course is the heartland of the Banderites. If Putin supports them, it is very, very unlikely that he will be supporting fascists – except by western-media sleight of hand.

You’re looking at the front, which incidentally was added on later, try comparing the footage with pictures of the side of the building where the event is supposed to have happened.

Amazing that the truthers who are so good at spotting fakes that aren’t fakes can’t spot a fake that really is a fake; and a pretty obvious one at that. It really does boil down to what you want to believe doesn’t it?

  • Peacewisher

@RoS: Well I suppose they have to have some relief from all these untruths they are having to make plausible to the media!

  • Peacewisher

Kempe. Very good point! It is about intellectual laziness. People are naturally lazy, and all this technological “support” is making us even more lazy.

  • Macky

Technicolour; “This is known as ‘binary thinking’

Err, no; it’s pointing out the logical fallacy in your comment, which is why it’s simply a lying smear.

Peacewisher; “I haven’t been following it too closely”

Well, especially as you appear to be relatively new here, do yourself the favour of reading back a few pages; you will easily see which posters are focused on honest rational debate, and which posters will do all they can to shut down such honest debate, and the very unpleasant tactics they employ in order to do so.

Looking at the link you provided, the photo of Bucks palace shows a side view of the front building, a low and behold, their in the middle is two pillasters.

The back of Bucks palace is admittedly a different set up, with what looks like Georgian style windows, and Doric pillars, I’d imagine no public access is forthcoming, in that region though.

As for the validity of the footage, I recall neither denying nor confirming its authenticity, I merely asked for theories.
