Well, it’s only reasonable to call off the sea search because, acccording to Mr Goss, the Malaysian airliner is being hidden on Diego Garcia by the CIA.

You do believe Mr Goss, don’t you?

  • Habbabkuk (la vita è bella)

Mary isn’t the reincarnation of Dr Edith Summerskill, is she?

Cognitive dissonance Macky must also be considered. Humans do strive for internal consistency as demonstrated here in part by comments that reveal discomfort is experienced when confronted by new information that conflicts with existing beliefs, ideas, or values. This is especially severe it seems when locked into the same beliefs, ideas, or values of a mentor, luminary, loved, loyal, respected or venerated.

  • John Goss

“You do believe Mr Goss, don’t you?”

You can find my beliefs in previous comments. They are never, or hardly ever, how you would like to portray them, Noddy.

[cm-org.uk – this went to spam at 07:40]

Kempe is spot on when he says:

“Amazing that the truthers who are so good at spotting fakes that aren’t fakes can’t spot a fake that really is a fake; and a pretty obvious one at that.”

Which reminds me that it’s time to plug http://www.stopfake.org again – the website run by young Ukrainian patriots aiming to expose the mendacity of much of the propaganda put out by the separatist fascists in eastern Ukraine.

Read it – you know it makes sense!

I didn’t even realize you were in London. That’s a couple of minutes cycle ride for me. I do have a regular Tuesday evening commitment but I could cancel. I might come along. Would you be interested in saying hello?

Also interesting how this site – with thousands of followers – has ZERO comments on most, if not all, the articles. Very, very odd indeed.

  • Macky

@Phil, thanks for the offer, but i hope you can respect my wish to keep my real life private, especially in light of real life threats regularly issued by some here.

  • Phil

    Macky

Sure it’s up to you. I might still go along though (it’s free and round the corner, depends on my other commitment). We can play guess who the other is. No, better still, I will be coming straight from work so wearing dusty trousers, boots, yellow coat, some kind of hoody, glasses. Say hello if you fancy. I won’t bite. We could have a drink after.

I am surprised you give a shit about the threats here. None of this is real.

  • Clark

Macky and Habbabkuk. So similar, opposite sides.

    * Both claim exceptional intelligence / reasoning ability
    * Both aggressive and use insults / derision
    * Both secretive about real-world identity
    * Both allege bias by this site’s moderation
    * Both relatively recent arrivals to this site
    * Both berate their opponents’ intelligence
    * Both have favourites whom they consistently support

  • giyane

    Insults or threats = pre-mod

But surely Flyting, Scots poetical insulting of nob-heads, or mobbing of un-wanted Trolls, on this blog would have artistic licence.

Such as: “His friends called him candle-ends, his enemies toasted-cheese.”

Baa! Humbug has brains of marshmallow sponge from eating too many prions.

As a recall the East Ukranian’s at the Trades Union building in Odessa were, at the beginning of the incident, outside the building, collecting signatures to petition for a referendum on some form of autonomy within a federal Ukraine, a very British way of fooling themselves their voices could count. When bussed-in heavily armed thugs from Kiev arrived and in real fear of their lives they took refuge in the building, in which they were then barricaded inside and the building set on fire. A predictable preventable deliberate atrocity then took place. The horror was only surpassed by the destruction of towns, cities, tens, possibly hundreds of thousands of lives in the shelling bombing and more grisly bloodier up close killings the Ukranian armed forces and the ultra-right wing Ukranian nationalist EU-trained death squads perpetrated upon the people of East Ukraine who stood their ground, their homes and their home towns, in the streets and in the fields, when refuge and safety in Russia was the easy option, they made the more difficult braver honourable choice to defend their homeland and homes as their kinfolk had did against past invaders and sadly for so many paid with their lives a heavy cost to secure for their people the freedoms that all, but they especially deserve and have won.

Spook thug criminal GHW Bush probably had a longer tenure at the heart of the US security and political establishment than V. Putin could ever dream of. An hereditary dynasty traceable easily back to Grandpappy Prescott Bush who very actively until around the middle of world war 2 supplied Nazi Germany through the Standard Oil company with all the petroleum fuels products that they needed as well as with related chemicals such as US-produced Tetra-ethyl lead, for which he and related companies were belatedly found guilty of trading with the enemy. A dynasty that continued with his son becoming CIA director, vice-president to Reagan and then President himself, and then his son GW Bush too became President, and of whom, as with the others, nothing good ever came. Past, present and sadly for Americans possibly also future leaders of this alleged democracy seem in the grip of these ruthless oligarchs and cold-calculating killers and profiteers.

It differs not from our own hereditary system of effete inept aristocratic psychopathic misrule.

    As confirmed as numerous reports & accounts true, and contrast with somebody else version ;

“Putin’s campaign of controlling the urban centres appears to have gone wrong in Odessa, which is simply too large for the numbers of available young men armed with baseball bats to take control. The pro-Russians were badly beaten in precisely the same street fighting they had been winning elsewhere. The culmination of this was the terrible fire and deaths. My expectation is there will not be many women, children or old people among the dead, but also there will not be many non-Ukrainian nationals. I expect these will prove to have been local Russian young men.”

This is what happens when you allow your “analysis” to be driven by preconceptions rather than rational objectivity.

  • Macky

@Clark, in your bizarre & slanted lists of similarities, you missed out the most important & honest one, we both have the letter “k” in our names ! 😀

  • John Goss

Tony M @ 12.52 and Macky at 13.46 I think you’ve nailed it. There have been preconceptions from the start, not just of Odessa but also of the shooting down of MH17, for which Putin was being blamed by the United States even before any evidence had been brought (apart from the false flag hoax in the Kiev Comic). Since then evidence has been produced including the sworn statement of an airport employee (who took a polygraph) that Captain Vladislav Voloshin shot it down. Yet, because the United States wants a war with Russia because its economy is on the blink, it persists with making the same claims that Russian Separatists (before it was Russians) shot it down using a BUK missile system. With the most sophisticated satellite systems the US has not provided the slightest evidence to back up these claims, while the BBC has deliberately removed a report with eye-witness accounts of seeing not one but two fighter planes when MH17 was shot from the sky killing nearly 300 passengers.

Is it any wonder we get frustrated with those who still support the US standpoint?

  • John Goss

Macky Polk’s boiling frog argument is convincing. I thought he spoiled the article right at the end by saying the solution was for Ukraine to join the EU which clearly shows he is an American and does not know how difficult it is to join the EU. Those in power in Kiev at the moment have pushed that process (joining the EU) back at least a decade. Nobody wants a bankrupt country in the union. The other thing is that Ukrainian politicians, brawls in parliament, dumping opposition MPs in bins, waging war on its own citizens, no confidence from its populace all lead the rest of Europe to see immature people trying to play at realpolitik.

It is disturbing for those of us in the water feeling the temperature rise.

Three Israelis arrested on suspicion of selling rocket parts to Hamas
    March 2, 2015

‘Details were scarce, after military censors imposed a gagging order on much of the story, but the three Israeli nationals have been accused of “providing raw materials directly to Hamas for the benefit of manufacturing rockets, missiles and other armaments.”

Authorities also took the opportunity to issue a general statement saying there was “a disconcerting phenomenon in which Israeli business owners do serious harm to the security of the State of Israel in exchange for money”.’

My thoughts exactly. For days, the main ‘news’ channels have led on Jihadi John almost to the exclusion of all other topics except Moscow.

    ‘The Answer Is No
    by Jon Taylor / March 1st, 2015

    Is a videotaped beheading
    More barbaric than a double-tap
Signature drone strike on a wedding
    Or funeral gathering?

    Is burning prisoners alive
    More barbaric than running
    A secret and world-wide gulag
    Of torture chambers?

    Is the execution of non-believers
    More barbaric than the assassination
By a government of its own citizens
    Without due process of law?

    Is blowing up cultural monuments
    More barbaric than enforcing sanctions
That deprive millions of food and medicine
    And clean drinking water?’

Puerile Danny Alexander, has put forward the idea, that every infrastructure project carried out within UK borders, must display a polished plaque, with a Union Jack flag as its centre piece.

Its a facile gimmick, in the run up to the GE.

  • Republicofscotland

Labour’s messiah Gordon Brown has come under fire, due to his vision of an economic revolution in Scotland, the Messiah, I mean Brown, wants the UK government, to create an oil fund.

What a visionary, the prophet Brown has spoken, why hasn’t anyone else thought of that idea.

Of course Brown is talking nonsense as per usual, an opposition backbencher with absolutely no power, Brown, who’s due to retire from politics, to continue his filthy lucre filled charity work, suffers from delusions of grandeur.

Even the broad shoulder of the UK, which we were never done hearing about, during the Sottish referendum, can’t or won’t prop up the flagging oil industry, that they taxed to death, for decades.

I am always pleased to say thanks where thanks are due. So thank you, Republicofscotland.

Thank you for so ably filling the (intellectual) hole left by the sudden and mysterious departure of our friend “Ben” from the USA (California, I believe).

Why, you even clock on at the same time as he did (roughly 3.30pm UK time), regular as clockwork!

  • Republicofscotland

Keeping on the subject of, the chosen one Gordon Brown (Jose Mourinho hasn’t got a look in) he was present for fewer than 7% of votes in the House of Commons last year.

That’s a whopping 93% absence rate which puts him way above the average MP’s absence rate, of about 26%.

The messiah (Brown) deregulated the banks, then bailed them out with taxpayers money, which has saddled future generations with huge debts.

The Messiah also, saddled public authorities across the country with massive debts, due to exorbitant, interest rates on PFI deals.

He’ll be remembered as the PM, that led the UK into the deepest recession in living memory.

    Messiah my arse.

    __________________________

The only thing puerile or facile about this is the fact that Republicofscotland posted it.

This suggestion of Danny Alexander’s is more or less the same as the European Union requiring public infrastructure projects which it co-finances together with a Member State to be identified with hoardings giving the total cost of the project and saying that there is EU co-financing.

One would have thought that even someone like Republicofscotland would welcome this in the interests of openness and transparency and as a way of showing taxpayers where some of their money is going.

One would need to be rather puerile and facile not to welcome this initiative.
