Rob, so how people in the UK can be sitting there typing comments that agree with you but the police aren’t breaking down their door? Look, I agree we’ve lost loads of civil liberties, but we don’t have thousands of political prisoners. I can still go out and protest. Yes, it’s limited, but effective protest and organisation are still possible.

But I suppose if it gives you and excuse from actually having to learn some nuclear physics…

    Herbie, 11:44 pm;

“You’re either with the bankers or you’re with the peeps”

OK, so who’s with the Kremlin and the Russian oligarchs?

  • Herbie

    Clark

“Yanukovich fled because the people came out onto the streets”

No. He fled because armed fascists usurped the protests and forced him out under threat of personal violence.

A peaceful resolution to the problem was available, but that didn’t suit Western plans.

  • Herbie

“OK, so who’s with the Kremlin and the Russian oligarchs?”

The rest of the non-NATO world.

Those who want to escape the depredations of Western bankers.

  • Peacewisher

@RobS. Not a police state, but maybe a controlled (i.e. barely democratic) state…

    1. Cameron wants to ban encryption (i.e. online privacy)
    2. Cameron refuses to appear one-one on TV with the leader of the opposition in q GE campaign (“blaming” the broadcasters)
    3. Cameron follows up reprivatizing East Coast main line with selling the remaining public stake in Eurostar.

I wasn’t that bothered in 2010, but I really, really hope we don’t get a Conservative government in 2015.

  • Herbie

    Macky

Just for clarity, I think he may have reneged on that somewhat.

It’s not needed anyway. There’s plenty of other evidence of US direction of the coup.

Not least, the US own history of foreign coup involvement.

  • Clark

    Macky, fuck appeal to authority.

Herbie, seriously? Alisher Usmanov is my friend? And you call ME crazy?

You lot are just Kremlin trolls, aren’t you? Fucking astroturf.

  • Peacewisher

@Clark, midnight: if I’ve been following this correctly, they are busy creating “a third way” 😉

no peeps, no banksters, but BRICSters. We’ll see… Just as it is very difficult to revive a tainted religion, so it may be with an economic system?

It will be interesting to see what is unleashed on the world in August next year…

  • Clark

You lot have a fucking nerve going on about US manipulation of social media when you’re on a blog I helped maintain, using it to propagate Kremlin propaganda. How does your money arrive? Tossers.

  • Peacewisher

@Clark: I’m surprised this debate has gone on so long. Everyone has their own opinion, and no-one seems to have shifted very much.

Now, what about UK politics… or football… maybe cricket?

  • Herbie

“selling the remaining public stake in Eurostar.”

Apparently they’re selling it for what amounts to just one year’s income. Is that correct?

Astonishing if it were. Complete fraud.

The East Coast line, which made money in public hands, is now being given back to the private clowns who almost ruined it in the first place.

They had to have it taken off them they were so poor, and then in public hands it was turned around and made money.

Now it’s going back into private hands.

    Pure theft of public resources.

  • Peacewisher

@Clark: RT = Russian propaganda BBC = US propaganda. Read both, and make up your own mind. No reason at all that a UK citizen should only feel patriotic through believing US propaganda. Not yet anyway (!)

  • Macky

Herbie; “Just for clarity, I think he may have reneged on that somewhat.”

If so, could it be because “Mr. Friedman was nervous about losing U.S. Government business by being too honest” ?

Clark; “Macky, fuck appeal to authority.”

Like you do when you quote Craig’s views & loyally try to enforce their acceptance ere ?!

  • RobG

Clark, sticks and stones, and all that stuff.

I’m not alone of all the people who want to take our country back from all the psychos and loons.

    The time is coming…

  • Peacewisher

@Herbie: Looks like the first election will be a draw. There will be another one before long. We need a labour manifesto for the second one that is committed to renationalising the railways.

  • Clark

Macky, my support for Craig has nothing to do with “authority” and everything to do with respect. He doesn’t pay me. I know he’ll publish corrections when he’s wrong. He didn’t believe in the Right-wing elements in the Ukrainian government at first, but he did after it was demonstrated to him. He can LEARN.

You encouraged Mary to believe that the police were “shooting blanks”.

Back to square one. You’re a liar and you don’t get my respect. That or you can’t learn from your mistakes, and that doesn’t earn respect either. So blather away to yourself.

RobG, if you want to discuss nuclear physics and how to make a difference, I’ll see you on the other thread. If not, then not.

  • Macky

Clark; “You encouraged Mary to believe that the police were “shooting blanks”.

Shameless lie; made because I pulled you up for being rude to her.

Looks like Habby has got some competition in the lying stakes.

  • Clark

    Peacewisher, 12:18:

“RT = Russian propaganda BBC = US propaganda. Read both, and make up your own mind.”

Agreed, roughly speaking. Pretty good model.

Just look at the laws they are passing.

You are all in a concentration camp, and you don’t even realise it.

The vermin will be along shortly, to tell you that everything is perfectly normal and ok.

  • Herbie

“Herbie, would you deliberately and knowingly promote the Russian oligarchy’s interests?”

    No.

It’s not their interest. Their primary interest is the Western plan. That’s why Putin was taking on the oligarchs. They’ve submerged their primary interest to the good of the whole.

Putin is attempting to build a state where the competing interests are represented.

But it’s not just about Russia. Russia is in the cross-hairs because it’s the only plausible military power left beyond NATO.

It’s about the rest of the non NATO world escaping the depredations of Western bankers.

That’s Africa, much of Asia, China, India, South America etc. And Western Europe itself would love to join if only it could.

  • Clark

Macky, blather away. My comment to Mary was not rude, merely direct. It contained nothing offensive; just a warning.

A warning you did not give. Why not, Macky?

  • Macky

Clark; “He didn’t believe in the Right-wing elements in the Ukrainian government at first, but he did after it was demonstrated to him. He can LEARN.”

He very rudely, rebuked Mary for linking to an article reporting the Neo-Nazis, and when he could pretend the opposite anymore, he didn’t have the grace to admit he was wrong, and/or to apologise to Mary.

He was wrong because he was behind the curve then, and he & you are still wrong & behind the curve on the Ukraine situation.

  • John Goss

“You are all in a concentration camp, and you don’t even realise it.”

It’s true. It will get worse. At the moment you can say what you want, pretty well, and walk around freely, pretty well (providing you do not practice Islam). But those Fema prisons are there for a purpose. Elect the Tories, or Labour and they will be coming here. Private prisons run as a business. In some human experiments already prisoners are happy to be working in the prison factories because of the absolute boredom and isolation of solitary confinement. That is what they are working towards – a happy workforce. The time to act against this is now.

  • RobG

Clark, I’m not running away from nuclear issues.

I don’t want my knowledge buried away in a thread that very few people will read.

  • Macky

    typo;

“when he could pretend” s/be “when he could not pretend”

Clark; “A warning you did not give. Why not, Macky?”

Because I’m not rude or arrogant enough to TELL people what to believe, hence my insistence on rational debate & logical reasoning.
