    Although things do seem to be moving towards peace in the Ukrainian crisis Poroshenko got caught claiming to have handfuls of Russian passports from so-called Russian soldiers captured in Ukraine. However Russian military personnel have to hand in their passports when they are serving. So Russia has asked to see who these soldiers are. What a twat Poroshenko is!

    Most of the people don’t want to fight. The US supplying weapons (as they like in the Middle East) would be the worst scenario. Thankfully, Germany is opposed.

    @John: Based on twitter, plus a few articles, it was as I reported earlier, a Tochka_U, fired by the UKies. Looks like it hit an ammo dump. Some getting excited about it being a mini_nuke. UKies quite proud of it, tweeting away. Silence from separatists, but Donetsk (and US) civilian outrage.

    I thought there was supposed to be a ceasefire? If it was an ammunition dump there are sure to be casualties. If it was a nuclear test we all need to start worrying (suspect that’s not the case).

    After further research probably a chemical factory rather than an ammunition dump.. the latter would go off for days, but this was one really massive explosion. Curious that the media aren’t onto it… particularly with that remarkable picture from space.

    Some (Ukrainian) guy on Facebook (link posted on Twitter) said it hit 20 Grads, and that accounted for the large explosion. Also, not in a populated (or much populated) area, so no casualties reported – so far.

    With that massive explosion still shaking through the more honest sections of the media, BBC contributor still talking factually of Russia as “the aggressor”, although this morning at least they (briefly) presented the “Russian” view. This should be obvious by now to all prepared to see objectively as an impartial view… that Ukraine is the aggressor.
