Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that despite the growing criticism both in Israel and the United States, he plans to address a joint session of the U.S. Congress to lobby against a nuclear deal with Iran.
    ———————–

Bib’s heading to Washington to drum up more support on sanction for Iran, how many times has Bibi used this old (Iran nuclear weapons) chestnut.

Its now become very tiresome indeed.

Several pro-Israel lobby groups in the United States have threatened to “publicly condemn” Democrats who plan to skip the Israeli prime minister’s speech about Iran before Congress next month.

Benjamin Netanyahu’s well-funded Jewish conservative backers say they may use their funds to draw attention in the districts and states of any Democratic lawmaker who is not at the US Capitol to listen to Netanyahu on March 3.

And there in lie the problem with the America’s political system, the 1% of Americans,of a certain persuasion, really do, politically anyway, control the other 99%.

The US political system is in a vice like grip, and most American’s probably don’t even realise it.

Bibi has the ball at his feet, for now anyway.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2945829/Jack-Straw-seat-Lords-role-Iraq-War-laid-bare-devastating-Chilcot-report.html

Former foreign secretary Jack Straw is being lined up for a seat in the House of Lords after he steps down as an MP in May.

The former Foreign Secretary is understood to be open to accepting a peerage and could even take up his place on the red benches before his role in taking Britain to war against Iraq is laid bare in the long-delayed Chilcot report.

A senior Labour source told MailOnline the Blackburn MP is ‘on his way down the corridor to the other place’ after he leaves the Commons.
    ………………………

So the war criminal Jack Straw is in line for a peerage, hmm… just another day in the den of iniquity, aka, Westminster, we wouldn’t want the Chilcot report, to surface before dear old Jack, plants his arse on the blood red benches of the House of Lords, now would we.

Well done Jack, you’ve earned your free, £300 quid a day, as a f*cking lord.

“Do you agree that’s happening?” — Phil

If you read only certain people on Twitter, you’d think it was. But apparently around half of people who would be liable for charges have sent their “contract” back (according to official figures). On the other hand we don’t know whether they were sent back filled in, or sent back with an angry message on the envelope and nothing filled in or signed. (I’ve heard that ~90% of those sent back were signed.)

The Irish people have been remarkably acquiescent during this whole austerity business, although giving out yards about it. I’ve been very disappointed. Having said that, I can’t go out on protests myself as my health is not good and I can’t walk far. (I had a double bypass some years ago and they told me a few years later that only one half of it had worked. One graft never “took” at all. Plus other bits and bobs …)

I’ve sent nothing back – just ignored Irish Water completely – and they put in a meter outside the gate. But I’d rather go to jail than pay them a penny. (Assuming I’m capable of it.) I don’t see how on earth they can justify spending 500 million on installing meters with no additional spending on the water infrastructure network. And of course the big worry is that Irish Water will eventually be privatised. But you probably know all this.

As for a ‘solid anti-austerity movement’, I have my fingers crossed, but I’m not holding my breath.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/religion/11399986/Vicar-who-blamed-Israel-for-911-attacks-is-banned-from-writing-about-the-Middle-East.html

A vicar who promoted conspiracy theories that Israel was behind the September 11 terrorist attacks on the internet has been banned from speaking, writing, tweeting or blogging on the Middle East by the Church of England.

The Rev Dr Stephen Sizer has also agreed a complete prohibition on using any social media for at least six months. It is believed to be the first ban of its kind issued by the church.

But Dr Sizer will be able to remain as priest in charge of his Christ Church parish in affluent Virginia Water, Surrey, and there are no current plans to defrock him.

The ruling by the new Bishop of Guildford, the Right Reverend Andrew Watson, imposes one of the most sweeping sets of restrictions ever placed on a serving Church of England cleric
    ———————————

So the mighty Church of England has succumbed, as well, I never thought I’d see the day, long gone are the days, when the church would defend an individuals opinion, now you’re sanctioned for expressing your own opinion, on a subject, that with regards to the truth, has more holes in it than a strainer.

@RoS: banning something makes it more enticing. The practice of ridiculing it is much more successful. Holocaust denial, and now 9/11 conspiracy denial, will have the opposite effect of what was desired. After all these centuries, you’d think those seeking to influence behaviour positively would know better…

The Prince, 66, chatted to the Emir of Kuwait, 85, via an interpreter. He said the Queen, 88, was in remarkable form, thank you very much, and my father too.

The Prince, who is on the second leg of a Middle East tour after visiting Jordan, went to the Bayan palace in the capital, Kuwait City, after being met at the airport by Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf.

He told the Emir, Sheikh Sabah: I was telling the Crown Prince he [The Duke of Edinburgh] will be 94 in June, inshallah (God willing).

I see Prince Dobby, is still swanning around the Middle East dressed as Lawrence of Arabia, quoting Arabic, long gone are the days when the British monarchy, looked down on the Arabic world.

Now, the likes of Prince Dobby dance to the sheikhs merry tunes, and burp, with satisfaction, after an ostentatious meal.

Sorry Mary, I hadn’t realised you posted a link to it already, but yes, its a disgrace by the Church of England.

That’s right Peacewisher, the more they force the official narrative upon us, the more, we will reject it, the Ministry of Truth is alive and well, in the UK.

An inquiry into the way MPs police sleaze in the Commons was branded a whitewash last night.
The seven-month review by the Commons standards committee found that MPs should continue to sit in judgment on colleagues accused of breaking parliamentary rules.
Critics warned the plans would let MPs continue to ‘mark their own homework’

The standards committee is the final arbiter of alleged wrongdoing by MPs. In the past it has frequently been accused of taking a lenient approach, particularly against senior figures.
Under the new plans half of its members will be drawn from outside Westminster for the first time.

The move will result in the number of ‘lay’ members increasing from three to seven. But, controversially, these lay members will still not be given a vote on the committee’s decisions, meaning that MPs will retain the final say.

The report found there were ‘strong constitutional reasons’ why MPs needed to remain the final arbiter on whether rules had been broken and what punishments should be enforced.

Israel is preparing to expand its activities in four illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank amid the international outcry against the Tel Aviv regime’s land grab policies.

Israeli media reported on Monday that Tel Aviv has grabbed about four square-kilometers of Palestinian land near the settlements of Kedumim, Vered Yericho, Neveh Tzuf and Emanuel.

According to the reports, Tel Aviv has made preparations to construct 18 residential projects in these areas, with more than 99 percent of the occupied land being allocated to settlements.

Israel is facing widespread global condemnation over its settlement construction in the occupied Palestinian lands.

Earlier on Sunday, Israeli officials approved the construction of 64 new settler units in the illegal Ramot settlement .

I don’t think I’m on record as denying that Ukraine has fascists, or even that they are influential. I assume that we can agree that they are not nice people. Where we do appear to disagree is with my conviction that Putin is not a nice person either, that his motives are imperialist, and that he is encoraging and probably actively supporting the destabilisation of a country which would like, for utterly understandable reasons. not to be part of Russia.

Ukraine’s always had fascists. And so has Russia, acknowledged or not. Common culture.

  • Tony M

From one of the links someone posted earlier: http://www.plp.org/books/tottlefraud.pdf

There was a famine in much of post-revolutionary Russia, in the immediate years after world war one ended, as Russia was under continued military attack for many years after 1918, from a broad coalition of forces from around fourteen other countries.

As I see it the perpetrators of the worst verifiable excesses of the later massacres of Jews and Roma mainly -some Poles, Ruthenians, Galicians (now calling themselves ‘Ukranians’), instead of facing that certain guilt shared with Germany’s Nazis continue to insist, with the connivance of the ever ‘anti-communist’ hawkish establishment in the west, that THEY were the victims themselves of a “Holodomor”, perpetrated by “Jewish-communists”. As you could become aware, from the document linked above, the laughable dishonest evidence for any exeptional or uniquely Ukranian famine of 1932-33 is largely from Nazi sources such as the vile Voelkischer Beobachter, from the newspapers of US fascist-in-chief, the owner of the label ‘yellow’ journalism: William Randolph Hearst, and those from who would become active perpetrators themselves in the real Holocaust that even hardened killer German Nazis thought were bloodthirsty lunatics.

Propaganda should come with a sell-by date, not go on and on being ill-advisedly used to try dupe others long after its utility and indeed its credibility have gone completely stale.

    Dreoilin

Cheers for that. I actually had no idea about your health – I’ve never heard you mention it. I should be visiting soon, maybe next weekend, so look forward to seeing it all a bit closer. Take care and keep ignoring those demands!

Ba’al; “I don’t think I’m on record as denying that Ukraine has fascists, or even that they are influential”

    At least you have got one up on Craig with that one foot in reality statement; shame about;

“that his motives are imperialist, and that he is encoraging and probably actively supporting the destabilisation of a country”

If you really seriously believe he wants all that dangerous mayhem on his border, all that humanitarian crisis, that he really wants to took over the Ukraine, then you are seriously deluded on par with RD & Habby; if there had been no Western sponsored coup, the Crimea would still be part of the Ukraine.

  • Mary

Yes Clark I noticed that you were not getting replies. Perhaps he is otherwise engaged. I did read your comments. Thanks. Quiet on here tonight?

Holodomor Denial; it had to happen.

    http://www.brh.org.uk/site/2014/06/statement-ukrainian-famine-1931-2/

The author of the book lined to doesn’t deny there was a famine, just that it was caused deliberately.

  • lysias

The Holodomor did happen. And something else also happened: the Banderists supported the Nazis and were themselves involved in genocide.

  • Mark Golding

RoS/Mary/Peacewisher – hearsay abounds right now that Nikolai Patrushev has revealed some telling Russian satellite images of September 11th 2001 aircraft substitutions to Wolfgang Friedrich Ischinger – more on this soon…

  • Paul Barbara

Yep, Mark Golding! And here’s the latest:
‘Pravda: Putin Threatens to Release Satellite Evidence of 9/11:
    http://www.veteranstoday.com/2015/02/10/pravda-putin-threatens-to-rele ase-satellite-evidence-of-911/

    And here:
    http://www.911forum.org.uk/board/viewtopic.php?p=169399#169399

Of course, the US could counter by info about the Moscow Tenement bombings, but I think those Neo-Con bozo’s are pooping themselves! Putin could also release satellite pics showing the US is lying about GeoEngineering ‘Chemtrails’, and about the ‘safety’ of GMO’s and other stuff (Bovine Growth Hormone etc. Obviously, these two would not involve satellite pics).
Glad you brought this up, Mark, so I don’t seem too OT, but it is incredibly important.

[cm-org.uk – stuck in Spam since 23:29 yesterday]

Yeah, in the context of our own imperialists, Putin’s a nonentity.

We’ll see tomorrow what happens. Even if they all agree I doubt it’ll be the end of Western efforts to subdue the Russians.

    That’s very obviously the plan.
