    It sums up the mindset neatly doesn’t it? You read some barmy diatribe about boycotting Israeli universities at the forefront of medical research because they “collaborate in the occupation of Palestinian land”, point out that not much exactly is forthcoming from the Arab universities in the way of saving lives, and they start posting reams of material about Islamic medical advances of the 9th century as if it’s meant to be some sort of answer?!!!

    Some of us might remember when Mr Goss was taking the same line with regard to the Ukraine Govt. not investigating the Maidan shootings – saying that the new Ukrainian Govt wasn’t prepared to investigate them. But then the Govt inquiry announced its findings – prompting a quick change of tact from Mr Goss – it was a whitewash, it wasn’t independent etc.

    Two truths.

    No inquiry in the world would change the mind of Mr Goss on any subject where he has already taken his position on the flimsiest of evidence – he usually announces his view a few days after airing a rumour that supports his own political view – remember him saying that the Java sea aircrash was in the vicinity of Diego Garcia? Or blaming the US for Ebola

    Real enquiries take time – they have to collect and evaluate evidence before reaching a view. Mr Goss and his friends can of course dispense with all that – they start with a prejudice and then use scraps of evidence, their own lies and lies put out by others, with little delay in time (they can even try and make what they say respectable by attaching labels such as investigative journalism etc.) and they can do all this in a shorter time frame than a proper inquiry.

    When you show, as earlier, that Carlos does exist, you do not get an apology from those who denied his existence. They just clam up. They are not interested in the truth. They are simply here to abuse and disrupt. It is wearing on those here for legitimate reasons, but it must be terrible boring for them having to troll through all the sensible comments to make their trite and ignorant attacks.

    You have to wonder what state medical science would be in today, in Israel or elsewhere, without the earlier work of the Arab medical schools. They were laying foundations upon which others built. So I’d be less sarcastic about them if I were you.

    By all means carry on with your deep and thorough analysis about what I believe in and attribute views to me which I do not possess the necessary perception and superior intelligence such as your good selves to know that I hold. You can even throw in the occasional targeted insult and abuse – as a clear demonstration of your capacity to put forward your own precisely defined and very specific, but correct viewpoints (of which I am sure that you are both 100% convinced are entirely supportable – or even 200% in the case of Mr Goss who has a known proficiency with statistics) which make engagement in any form of dialectic rather unnecessary. And of course statements such “we have got the whole team out tonight attacking the person instead of the argument” do not apply to higher forms of life such as yourselves – and are merely aimed at us (or even “we trolls” if Mary insists) trolls who are of course famous for having no sense of irony or humour.

    Clark, you are a good man. You should not take other people’s grievances upon yourself. These warriors are not like you, sensitive, emotional and vulnerable. Buck up.

    People like RD, Habbabkuk, myself and others are hardened in our own ways (Habbabakuk is case-hardened, Resident Dissident is work-hardened, and I am battle-hardened). We can look after ourselves.

    Sometimes I think you tend to back the wrong horse, so to speak, but when you are trying to appease everyone for a quiet blog, it might not be in your best interests, or even the blog’s best interests. Believe me Clark if you look after yourself the blog will look after itself.

    I agree that it needs monitoring, but that can be a full time job, as you know yourself.

    Let us speak. Don’t expect us to agree because it’s human nature not to agree with everything everybody says. Because you cannot get us to agree is no reflection on you. We are individuals and not your responsibility.

    Cheer up and I’ll buy you a pint the next time I see you (or a coke or whatever). We nearly met on an Assange demo. Remember? But I had to cancel. Don’t get down. It’s not worth it. Look after yourself.

    It’s like comic book stuff. All you need to do now is wheel in Kerry, the Thunderbird puppet, telling everyone that we’re defending ‘freedom and democracy’.

    And I’m still waiting for Habba to tell me what a ‘right-thinking’ person is.

    I just hope it’s not like the total psychos and war criminals that the likes of Habba are involved with.

    And of course if the Russians really want to help the inquiry they could hand over Strelkov to the Dutch authorities so that he could be interviewed about his role in MH17 – would also be highly convenient for him to be passed onto the Hague for their enquiries as well, so much so that the Kremlin would probably only have to pay for one flight on Aeroflot.

    This is why Google is shit. It used to be good. Type in “Strelkov hoax intercept” and you get a load of 2014 links about the alleged recording of Strelkov saying the separatists shot down MH17. There is nothing about this being a forgery made the day before MH17 was shot down.

    Then type in as a string “Strelkov hoax intercept Kyiv Post” and all the articles that pop up are 2015, because although this government KP comic broke the story, now everybody knows it was a fabrication, Kyiv Post does not want to be associated. Stange goings on. But I am sure Strelkov would welcome the opportunity. Not so sure about Voloshin.

    This is a fabrication – others can check if they wish

    And I didn’t get my original post by using Google anyway – I just looked up Strelkov on Wikipedia.

    Of course any evidence that doesn’t agree with the theory has to be fabricated or misinformation.
