After such an extended break from blogging, you will be deeply disappointed that I restart with something as mundane and trivial as Jeremy Clarkson. I have defended the man in the past, because I much enjoy Top Gear and consider that much of what he has been criticised for in the past had been an amusing winding-up of the po-faced of the kind I employ myself. But nasty, indeed vicious bullying of a subordinate should always be a sacking offence.
That did not ought to be the question, though. He hit someone and they had to go to hospital. Where are the police? They are incredibly fond of sweeping up scores of teenagers for thought crime, but here we have an actual violent assault that spills blood, and it seems completely out of the question the perpetrator is brought to account. Why is that? I had a personal experience a couple of years ago when I was very mildly hurt – less than young Oisin – in an assault, and the police insisted on arresting the perpetrator despite my repeated requests to them not to do so. They told me rather firmly that the idea that it is the victim who has a say in pressing charges, is a myth. Why was Clarkson not arrested?
I cannot in my mind dissociate this from the non-arrest of Jimmy Savile for his crimes, despite their being well-known and reported at the time. That seems to link in to the wider paedophilia scandal, and the question of why no action was taken even in the most blatant of cases when there was compelling evidence, such as that of the extremely nasty Greville Janner MP.
But then I think still more widely as to why, for example, Jack Straw has not been charged with the crime of misfeasance in public office after boasting of using his position to obtain “under the radar” changes in regulations to benefit commercial clients, in exchange for cash. I wonder why a large number of people did not go to jail for the HSBC tax avoidance schemes or the LIBOR rigging scandal, which involved long term dishonest manipulation by hundreds of very highly paid bankers.
At the top of the tree is of course the question of why Blair has not been charged for the crime of waging illegal war. The Chilcot Inquiry heard evidence that every single one of the FCO’s elite team of Legal Advisers believed that the invasion of Iraq was an illegal war of aggression. Yet now the media disparage as nutters those who say Blair should be charged.
Then I think of all the poor and desperate people who get jailed for stealing comparatively miniscule amounts in benefit fraud, or the boy who was jailed for stealing a bottle of water in the London riots.
The conclusion is that we do not have a system of justice in this country at all. We have a system where the wealthy and governing classes and those associated with them enjoy almost absolute impunity, broken in only the rarest of cases. At the same time those at the bottom of the pile are kicked hard to keep them there. There is no more chance of justice against those in power in the UK than there is of the killers of Nemtsov being brought to book in Russia.
But what has really scared me is this thought. This situation has been like this my entire life: and I have reached the age of 56 before I realised it. A very great many people have still not realised it at all.
What does not scare me is this. I realise that if the system of justice is completely corrupted, then there is no obligation on me to follow the laws of the state. In fact it would be wrong of me to do so. I must seek my ethical compass elsewhere than in the corrupt power structure which weighs so hard upon the people.
“I think I read somewhere that tropical storms are caused by a butterfly in Birmingham.”
No, apparently it’s a tadpole in Teddington. Red Ken’s to blame.
Clark, I’m sorry if I shout at people (including you). It might give some indication of just how angry I am – these feckers are destroying the world.
Cyclone Pam and Typhoon Haiyan were the most violent storms in recorded history. They didn’t hit heavily populated ares. If a storm like that did hit an area of dense population, like Vancouver, or Seattle or San Fran or LA, the death toll would be in millions.
And then we get la la land, comment threads like this, where reality seems to be a distant concept.
There are two things I want to say here..how could whoever runs The SNP ask Craig Murray That Question..and how could Craig Murray..give the correct answer. But he did, and that is some kind of special..No I am not going to automatically obey the party line..I am going to say what I think and vote like I should thinking about all the people who have elected me…
I would vote for him…Craig Murray..on balls alone..but there is no way the political establishment in the UK will even let us see Craig Murray on TV.
Good Man.
Tony

For all the second-rate academics churned out by British INGSOC indoctrination, there’s a ready market for attacks on unauthorized opinions. This one, by a Western Oriented Gentleman, touches all the bases of the original CIA memo:
– Conflate unauthorized opinions with miscellaneous delusions
– Other the dissenters (in this case by making up pejorative character traits with no empirical basis)
– Dispel objective consideration of evidence with snide hand-waving
– Cherry-pick minutia to simulate inductive logic

So all the little Mboyas they put into drydock, they can’t put them in charge anymore but they can at least make them do doctrinal tricks.

Rageh Omaar is International Affairs Editor for ITV News
but rhetorically does he also work part-time for MI6 ?
I personally don’t have a clue whether he does or not, but he’s just written a piece of seemingly outright NATO propaganda in the Torygraph, about how the poor Lithuanians are quaking, fearing the next knock on the door will be Putin himself.
In a democratic society, access to journalistic information plays a central role in creating a system of checks and balance, and in distributing power equally amongst governments, businesses, individuals, and other social entities. Access to verifiable information gathered by independent media sources, which adhere to journalistic standards, can also be of service to us ordinary citizens, by empowering us with the tools we need in order to participate in the political process. There’s an election coming soon, then an EU in/out, then the next Scottish independence vote…
I agree that advocacy journalism is a genre of journalism that intentionally and transparently adopts a non-objective viewpoint, usually for some social or political purpose. (Because it is intended to be factual, it is distinguished from propaganda) However in the Rageh piece he mentions that “[Lithuanian] journalist Ramune Ramanauskiene was offered money to publish pro-Russian articles” following from the continued success of the “Bought Journalists” by Dr. Udo Ulfkotte it is obvious that Rageh is being deliberately disingenuous and only covering half a story; he spectacularly fails to mention the hordes of western journalists who are agents of influence for the CIA[2]. I therefore claim, because [1] is slightly factual, but ONLY TELLS HALF THE STORY, it is therefore NATO propaganda, and one worries about the veracity of all words/opinions from Rageh.

Famous Lithuanians include Robert (Bob) Zimmerman, Charles Bronson, J.D. Salinger, Vitas Gerulaitis and Valdas Adamkus [was a American working in the EPA before being elected President of Lithuania!], Hannibal Lecter was fiction, as is the ‘Russian Invasion tomorrow’ meme.
Lithuania became Russian in the 1700s, the Lithuanian language in Latin Script was banned between 1863 and 1905 with cyrillic enforced. Many Lithuanians became émigrés to the USA, starting at the end of the 19th century. Lithuanians differed from most immigrant groups in the United States in several ways, they came to the US not only to escape poverty, but also to avoid bitter religious, political and national persecution, and compulsory military service in the Russian army…
At least Lithuanian youths can now look forward to compulsory military service in the Lithuanian army, though I doubt that they will get to fight Putin personally.
Look, this is pure “Wag the Dog” propaganda
The Conservative candidate for Dudley North, ex army captain Mr Amin will be sacked for a perfectly acceptable contemporay au courant false-flag operation involving the EDL (terrooorist) and a mosque (place of worship).
All part of high level army officer training I would have thought, agent Cameron; giving marching orders to Mr Amin MP might mean you have to ‘send packing’ the whole ‘black operation team’ of C54 in secret intelligence service MI6 to boot.
Again Sir Arthur Nicholas Winston Soames I ask how much is Aegis raking in for so called ‘training’ in Ukraine – do I have to name names?

What do people make of the “AA” scandal? I see it as a tragedy. Young man from an unpromising background makes good and then wastes his future by foolish conduct. I have some sympathy for the Muslims, whose community was outgrowing an existing mosque, so they wanted to build a bigger one with better community facilities. The EDL made a fuss which may have been predictable, but from the MoS it appears that “AA” tried to exploit the situation for his own ends.
Still, it is a juicy story which inspired the following imaginary conversation in the Ministry of TJB (Truth and Justice that is consistent with the British way of life):
Minister M1: Mandarin, what’s this about Mr. “AA” in the Black Country? Pretending to support us and doing a deal with the EDL behind our backs?
Mandarin M2: Worse, Minister. He says that his ambitions go all the way up to No. 10.
N1: What? Talk about biting the hand that fed him. I’ll have his head for his. Emergency meeting, suspension and a hearing to have his say, of course.
M2: At once, Minister!
Photographs of the vapour trail from the missile which shot down MH17 show it was launched from the edge of Snizhne in Eastern Ukraine.

Fred, lots of different theories; you might want to explore from here:
https://consortiumnews.com/2015/01/19/the-danger-of-an-mh-17-cold-case/
Makes me wonder if the Daily Grail has ever seen a missile vapor trail Fred. I find it ‘interesting’ a freedom of Information request for the “secret” agreement of 8th August 2014 signed by Ukraine, Netherlands, Belgium and Australia, was declined.
http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2014/08/mh-17-investigation-secret-august-8th-agreement-seeps.html
“Fred, lots of different theories; you might want to explore from here:”
Not seeing anything of importance there Clark, nothing factual. Nothing like a photograph of a vapour trail and testimony of where and when it was taken.
John Goss and other MWL eat this
On Sunday hundreds of representatives from more then dozen of ultra right parties including “lovely” BNP have gathered in St Petersburg (former Leningrad where over 2 million people have died under siege during WWII). The main consensus is that all those parties have firm support of Vova the Kremlin Giza.
Today Vova’s own Press secretary Dmirtii Peskov confirmed that Vova has given personal approval for such gathering to take place in his home town.
This sounds especially pathetic since it is Vova and his propaganda machine which claims largely that modern days Ukraine is run by fascists whereby the largest gathering of fascists in XXI century took place in Russia’s second most suffered cities in WWII.
I think that John Goss will need to eat his hat.
Interesting Fred the jpg extended metadata has been removed. Here is what is left of the data:

Albeit this is typical MSM reprocessing of images.
Funny how the Daily Mail chosing now to run this story again, as the Telegraph ran the story with the same photo last Summer:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/ukraine/10978352/Ukraine-says-it-has-compelling-evidence-of-Russias-role-in-the-shooting-down-of-flight-MH17.html
Here’s another view;
http://www.globalresearch.ca/german-pilot-speaks-out-shocking-analysis-of-the-shooting-down-of-malaysian-mh17/5394111
Also I’m sure I read somewhere recently that even US intelligence sources were now ruling out that Russia had supplied a BUK missile system to the rebels.
Some interesting reading for Uzbek in the UK;
http://www.truth-out.org/speakout/item/28392-are-there-nazis-in-ukraine-a-visit-to-lviv
The Daily mail seem very keen on that photo, as it’s at least a hat-trick now for them;
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2698689/The-trail-death-Moment-surface-air-missile-fired-MH17-blowing-plane-apart-mid-air-killing-298-people.html

“Also I’m sure I read somewhere recently that even US intelligence sources were now ruling out that Russia had supplied a BUK missile system to the rebels.”
I have posted this link several times already to this blog.
Please pay attention this time.
“anti-aircraft defense regiment A-1402, featuring the Buk air defense system has been captured by opponents of the unconstitutional junta government.”
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=e57_1404051041
Please note the article was placed on the internet on the 29th of June 2014, before MH17 was shot down.
Have you got that now?
Fred,
Are you one of those semi-intelligent robotic thingies designed to disrupt discussion that tends to debunk the official narrative?
If not, do tell us why the Ukie air traffic control tapes relating to MH17 have never been released and why the Dutch Safety Board undertaking an inquiry into the crash gave Ukraine a veto on releasing the inquiry results and why, therefore, there has been no release of the cockpit voice recordings or the autopsy results on the pilot (was he riddled by fragments of bullets from an SU-25 machine gun?) and many other facts that must be known to any competent inquiry and which must indicate far more conclusively than some picture of a cloud of vapor, exactly what happened.
“Are you one of those semi-intelligent robotic thingies designed to disrupt discussion that tends to debunk the official narrative?”
I just post the facts.
Today I have posted a photograph of a vapour trail and evidence from before the shooting down of MH17 that the separatists were in possession of a BUK SAM system.
If you want conspiracy theories I suggest you try elsewhere.
In 1923, when the USSR was very much playing down Russian nationalism and emphasizing the role of the national minorities, the same link gives these figures for the Crimea: Total 623,000; Crimean Tatars 150,000; Russians and Ukrainians combined 306,000. So, while one cannot say precisely how much of the population the Russians and the Ukrainians separately constituted, it is clear that the Crimean Tatars were again very far short of a majority of the population. They were a little less than a quarter.
I see,Ed Miliband,has made his way up to Scotland,today, he gave a rather timid speech, at Clydebank,in a hall so compact a bijou,that the entire audience,could’ve fitted,into a bus stop,with room left over for,Jim Murphy’s ego.
The mention of Alex Salmonds book, caused the biggest reaction from the crowd, not the economy or welfare,or even defence.
I knew I read it somewhere;
“While there are differences in those analyses about who fired the missile, there appears to be agreement that the Russian government did not supply the ethnic Russian rebels in eastern Ukraine with a sophisticated Buk anti-aircraft missile system that the original DNI report identified as the likely weapon used to destroy the commercial airliner killing all 298 people onboard.”

The MoD,has been reprimanded by the ONR,after a worker at Faslane was exposed to dangerous levels of radiation.Earlier this month the Sunday Herald newspaper exposed, that the number of radiation safety incidents,at Faslane had leapt by more than 50%,since 2012.
CND coordinator John Ainsle, described the breach as very worrying.
It’s just a matter of time, until a major incident occours,at Faslane, independence, would see Scots sending those WMD’s across the border, and out of Scotland for good.
New York Times editorial on proposals for “reforming” GCHQ: Britain’s Surveillance State.
The man who’ll be at the centre,of forming a government,if there’s a hung parliament is Sir Christopher Geidt. Geidt who hates being referred to as a “spook” worked for the FCO,in sensitive diplomatic postings from 1994,maybe Craig knows him?
Geidt, who is now the Private Secretary to the Queen, informs and advises HRH on constitutional government and political matters.
Geidt was educated at Oxford and the infamous,Glenalmond boarding school in Perth. I say infamous after a spoof video featuring pupils of the school hunting chavs with shotguns, found its way onto YouTube.
Geidts career,is a curious mixture of,military intelligence security analysis and crisis diplomacy,it suggests that he’s an establishment man through and through.
A Sir Nicholas MacPherson.
Geidt‘s university degrees are in “War Studies” from King’s College London and in International Relations from Trinity Hall, Cambridge.
Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore’s first prime minister has died,at the age of 91. Mr Yew became Sinapore’s first prime minister in 1959.
If memory serves me, Sinapore or at least a sea going trading port, on its coast, was founded by Englishman, Stamford Raffles.
The port was set up, to help thwart Dutch trade in the east.
