A Horror We Made 589

We are directly responsible for the disasters in the Mediterranean. The bombing of Libya into failed state status is now coming back to haunt us. The ludicrous idea, propounded by Blair, Robert Cooper and the Henry Jackson Society, that you could improve dictatorial states by massive bombing campaigns that targeted their basic infrastructure, is now a total bust. Sadly so are Iraq and Libya, to the permanent detriment of many millions of people. We caused both the Islamic State and the Mediterranean boat disasters, and we caused them with bombs.

But the lack of any effective policing is only part of the problem. What makes people so desperate that they are prepared to give all of the small amount they own, to ruthless gangs, in exchange for a dreadful sea crossing with a one in ten chance of drowning? Most of the refugees are sub-Saharan African. We only see the European end of the saga, not the terrible conditions on the cross Saharan journeys that they start with.

There will be no security anywhere if the world does not address the terrible scourge of African poverty and under-development. That is a huge subject on which I have written extensively and worked much of my life, and I do not wish to open it here. But what it does show is the utter stupidity – inhumanity yes, but also stupidity – of UKIP in thinking that cutting development aid will increase the economic security of the UK.

Britain would turn into a “communist dictatorship” if an Ed Miliband government was propped up by Nicola Sturgeon’s SNP, according to the wife of Michael Gove.

Sarah Vine, the Daily Mail columnist, commented on a friend’s Facebook status to warn of what life would be like if Labour was to form a minority government propped up by the SNP.

She also managed to insult northerners and Scots by claiming the north of England and Scotland would “leech off us until we die”. “Might as well just open a vein and let them have it all now,” she said as she poured out her innermost fears.

What happened to the famous comment from David Cameron, when he said, “I don’t want Scotland to leave the UK,it should stay and lead the way.”

It would appear the translation would read along the lines of stay, but know yout position Jock.

Sarah Vine,is a close friend of David Cameron’s wife Samantha.

Which is why I object to it. It’s part of the anti-Putin propaganda.

    Thought so.

“Are you listening Fred, get your own house in order first starting with Ian Smart.”

I’m not a member of any political party or organisation.

Why do Nationalists take it personally when someone in the SNP is criticised?

Why do they respond with ad hominem attacks?

Bullying and intimidation doesn’t work with me sunshine.

But my point stands: “Vlad” is not a nickname for “Vladimir”. That form of the name appears only to be used in Romanian.

That’s not a valid point, you’re an ardent vocal unionist as is Ian Smart, all unionists politicians speak for you, they want to keep the union,as do you.

So when a prominent unionist dishes out slurs, its a reflection of you.

If a nationalist MP or MSP dishes out unionist slurs then I accept thats a reflection on me,I accept this, you however don’t/won’t or can’t.

    Dear Marjorie Proops,

Thank you for your reply. I took your advice and posted the question on a blog where the person in question was likely to read it. Unfortunately a completely different person than the one I was referring to has replied and called me a retard and told me to fuck off and die.

Now I have another dilemma. This second person has complained “Why do Nationalists take it personally when someone in the SNP is criticised?” Yet this second person has taken personally my comments about Unionists and responded with vulgarities. Should I say anything about pots calling kettles black? What should I do for the best? I should also mention he doesn’t seem to understand irony.

    “Dear Marjorie Proops,”

I said fuck off and die retard. Your bullying and intimidation will not work on me. So fuck off shit for brains.

Original Chindits fought in great danger. These guys have no right to appropriate the name.

Fred, here’s my bad French translation of your favourite phrase:

Va te faire foutre et mourir crétin chatte

It sounds so much softer than the anglo-saxon, don’t you think?

Lysias, as I believe Craig pointed out a number of months back, a ‘national government’ is also a possibility (ie, a coalition between Labour and Cons), since as Galloway always says, you can’t put a cigarette paper between the two of them.

Watch out for a ‘national emergency’ in the immediate aftermath of the GE, which will give the excuse (ie, con the public) into a national government.

If this happens, police state Britain will no longer be behind the scenes. It will be full on and the end of any shreds of democracy left on these islands.

Galloway describes Tories, Labour and LibDems as “three cheeks of the same arse”, which I think is lovely.

Hi. I’m back still slightly radioactive but discharged with restrictions. Not a pleasant experience but I was cared for again by wonderful people. Now so tired I could sleep for England.

Speaking of England I noticed that Google are celebrating St George’s Day today.

What hypocrisy when they evade UK taxes in this way.

‘“Some technology companies go to extraordinary lengths to pay little or no tax here. If you abuse our tax system, you abuse the trust of the British people.”

While Google made $5.6bn (£3.4bn) of revenues in the UK last year, it paid corporation tax of just £20.4m.

Google makes a lot of money in the UK, but it collects nearly all of the profits in Ireland. It doesn’t pay much tax in Ireland either, with most of the money shifted to Google Ireland Holdings, a Dublin-registered company located in Bermuda for tax purposes.

A number of US technology companies, including Apple, Microsoft and Facebook, use a similar “Double Irish” structures.’

    How clever of them.

    St George wasn’t British Mary.

    He was Palestinian.

Speaking of Google, I was just reading in Engdahl’s book Target China how a lot of that firm’s startup money was directed to it by the CIA.

Dreoilin posted a link earlier, for which thanks, about secret Tory plans to further privatise the NHS. With the aid of embedded management consultants like Price Waterhouse, Ernst & Young and others, coupled with the ConDems’ destructive legislation, it is well underway. These consultants even donate the services of parliamentary assistants to some MPs.

As I say, one can only admire and wonder at the commitment and skills of the NHS professionals when you see them working in their teams and putting their training provided by the state into action. Do the privatisers contribute in any way to this? No. They try to steal them away for their outfits.

See the links here for further information.

    The first link:

Nicola Sturgeon vows to campaign for the NHS in England.
    http://www.nhsbill2015.org/snp-mps-to-vote-to-restore-englands-nhs/

‘FM – SNP MPs to vote to restore England’s NHS
    17/04/2015

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is today reaffirming the SNP’s commitment to voting to restore the NHS in England – on the day that prominent health expert Allyson Pollock backed the SNP’s position.

Campaigning in Central Ayrshire with SNP candidate Philippa Whitford – an NHS consultant breast surgeon – the First Minister will set out how SNP MPs will back a Bill to restore the NHS – ensuring the health service south of the border remains in public hands and protecting Scotland’s health budget in the process.’

I hope for the neutralising of the main parties in this forthcoming election. Change is coming

Cheers John and Rose for your kind messages.

Yes I know that Fred but don’t remind the Zionists. They will get upset.

I left a comment earlier on the Werrity about Theresa May crawling to an adoring audience.

Off to the land of Nod now. btw who was he?

  • fred

“Off to the land of Nod now. btw who was he?”

I don’t know. I know he had nothing whatsoever to do with England and that he is revered by Muslims as well as Christians.

  • Porkfright

RobG, 8.18 p.m. Absolutely on the ball. Some of us have been expecting this for some time, and are surprised it hasn’t happened already. Britain has been a de facto police state for a number of years IMO. They are brave enough now, one would guess, for the final push. If there is no real emergency-well,they can soon create one.

  • lysias

From the Wikipedia entry on “Land of Nod”:

“Nod” (נוד) is the Hebrew root of the verb “to wander” (לנדוד). Therefore to dwell in the land of Nod is usually taken to mean that one takes up a wandering life.

Galloway is a bit of a ‘character’ (who I don’t always agree with) but he does have a nice way with words.

And talking of which, Galloway’s famous testimony before a US Senate committee, back in 2005, in which he basically called members of Congress a bunch of thieves, liars and war criminals, and backed it up with convincing arguement, was a piece of classic political theatre, and the sort of thing you’ll witness only very rarely in politics. In fact, you will never see this kind of stuff nowadays, because the media have been completely subverted.

So, guilty yet again of posting links to long videos, and as a kind of Get Well to Mary (who’s doubtless seen this clip a zillion times, but I hope will enjoy seeing it again), here’s Galloway tearing the heads off the neocons. It’s brilliant stuff…
