During the course of this campaign, a quarter of Tories in East Renfrewshire have switched to voting Labour to back Jim Murphy against the SNP.
Polls by Ashcroft of the constituency at the beginning and end of April shows the Tory vote dropping by 25 to 20%, and the Murphy vote increasing from 31 to 36% – a direct transfer of Tory tactical votes to Labour.
The Tories willingness to back the leader of the Scottish Labour accounting unit is the starkest possible illustration of the collusion of Red Tories and Blue Tories. It comes on top of Miliband’s preference for a Tory government rather than a deal with the SNP. As I have been saying for almost a year, I view a Tory-Labour “grand coalition” as perfectly possible.

If the Nationalists had won last September and got an overwhelming majority in the referendum and Westminster had said “wrong answer, we keep having referendums till you get it right” what do you think would have happened?

Yes many will grow older and cynical (or wiser if you prefer) but I feel the tendency in Scotland is now one way, however long it takes.
There is just a feeling of “Good” about the journey to independence and a feeling of “decay/rotteness” about the Union, it’s a Zeitgeist thing that’s picked up by the young.
Nothing stays the same – the rotten old Union founded on rotten principles for rotten ends has had it’s day – keep trying to prod the corpse bck into life all you want.

Maybe, maybe not, who knows what the future will bring.
Nationalism was 20th century, this is the 21st century, as the people grow up perhaps the country will grow up as well. We are winning against racism, sexism, ageism we can change public opinion on nationalism as well. When I was young South Africa was an apartheid state and so were some states in America. The world grew up a bit.

Your internationlists of for instance the Bolshevik hue tried to stamp it out at the cost of Tens of Millions lives destroyed and didn’t succeed.
The attempt to smear the SNP with racialism is an old trick nd not a very clever one – “anti-English” feeling in Scotland is virtually non-existent. Anti-UK establishment feeling however is at it’s highest and identifies ordinary English working people as allies and indeed fellow victims.

You are under the misapprehension that Internationalism is the opposite of Nationalism, it is not they are the same. The SNP aims are internationalist, they want a separate Scotland with currency union with the rest of the UK, trade agreements with Europe and a defence treaty with the NATO countries.
All these things are internationalism, the UK being one state and one people is the opposite of internationalism.
