The Labour Party is being remarkably coy about releasing the actual result of its Scottish accounting unit leadership election, giving only a percentage. The entirely complacent unionist media is complicit in what amounts to a deception. The stunning truth is that in a one person, one vote election among the entire membership of the Labour Party in Scotland plus trades union supporters, Dugdale won with 5,217 votes (out of a claimed electorate of 21,000, many of whom do not exist or could not be arsed to choose between two right wing numpties).
UPDATE: A second Labour figure just rang me to assure me my information – which was from a good source – is wrong. She would not give the actual figure and only said it was “higher”. I offered to take down the post and publish an accurate figure if she would give it, but this was declined.
Macky, “@Glenn, LOL ! Still counting my words ! I feel deeply honoured !”
“Still?” Whatever… it took under 4 seconds to count that 150-odd word sentence, so please don’t feel unduly flattered.
And when one qualifies some quote with “iirc”, or (for example) “150-odd”, it is rather undignified of you leap, gleefully and hooting, onto the inaccuracy (nay, outrageous lie!). For example:
G: “Macky said (iirc) only 20% of the country is urbanised. “
M: “…(until now by incorrectly inflated my “barely a tenth of UK land has been urbanized” to “only 20% of the country is urbanized” !!!!)”
You do understand that wasn’t a screaming “GOTCHA!!” on your part, I trust? This is why conversation with you is so tedious and unproductive, which is doubtless exactly as you like it.
Jon; “However, laws have a very specific meaning and I am not in favour of changing a particular meaning in order to make a prosecution more likely using that law.”
Just had a quick look & yes all the treason laws are to do with protecting the Queen & about helping enemies attack GB, nothing about acting against the “National Interest” per se; still lying to Parliament, using national resources & national wealth, including causing the deaths of miltary personnel, basically in order to carry favour with a foreign leader, and to profit from the kickbacks, must be covered somewhere under domestic law !
Glenn; “You do understand that wasn’t a screaming “GOTCHA!!” on your part”
No, just pointing out that you were incorrectly quoting me, & accidently doubling a statistic in favour of your pov that the UK is getting too full to allow in continuing numbers of refugees.
Bevin; “Perhaps then he is motivated either by neo-nazi sympathies or simply a desire to warm his hands besides the fire consuming continental Europe”
Well he has more or less stated that his antagonism toward Russia is ultimately rooted in the consideration that the West safeguards his own personal interests best; the reality of course is that it’s the Western Elites interests that the West safeguards best, mostly at the expense of people like himself, and any drip-down benefits are carefully calculated & very carefully rationed. The alternative benefits of a peaceful & cooperative relationship with Russia, and indeed most of the World, would easily surpass & dwarf such controlled drip-down benefits; it doesn’t help that he is both ex-military & of a certain age that would have had the Cold War threat of the “Red Menace” drilled into him relentlessly.
Suhayl picked up on a well-worn term of approbation around these parts: “… blind loyalty to Craig…” Macky.
Indeed. Macky might have shrilled another poster here with this line, but her stablemate Anon1 has also tried it out, Kempe gave it his usual limp-wristed effort, and ResDis – iirc – thought it fun to give it a whack about a year ago. And the lamentable company doesn’t stop there.
Could one of these cheap-shots give a single example of any poster meeting this description? Despite the general smear, there are no craig-bots on this blog. Just idle accusations. Plus ça change…

Wonder if Craig knows about Lundin’s activities in Ghana.
‘In addition to promoting the sector in general, the Conservatives’ ploughed millions of dollars into specific companies’ corporate social responsibility projects. One example of this “aid” was a $4.5-million grant to Lundin for Africa, the philanthropic arm of mining giant Lundin Group of Companies, for its operations in Ghana, Mali and Senegal. Ottawa also put up $5.6 million for a project between NGO Plan Canada and IAMGOLD near the company’s mine in Burkina Faso.’

The security that we, the idiot taxpayers, pay for accompanied the evil pair.
RobG.
Thank you very much for your concern and valuable information.
I used to take a tea spoonful of turmeric in a pint of organic veg juice every morning (cabbage celery beetroot and carrots). Supplemented by 4 organic apples juiced with half a tea spoonful of cayenne chilli pepper. In fact I bought a new batch of organic turmeric just before I had the kidney removed.
According to the oncology nurse the treatment will be a “PILL”, if it has spread to my lungs.
Chemo and Radiotherapy are not an option in my case.
My lower organs are all clear, prostate bowel etc. It is suspected to be moving in an upward direction because it was in the Adrenal Gland which was removed at the same time, plus, a white spot on each lung. I think these white spots are from my childhood. I nearly died when I was born, however, M&B (May and Baker) saved my life at two weeks old, but left me with dry skin.
They are not taking any chances. the appointment says they are going to concentrate on my chest, abdo/pelvis with the CT scan.
Kidney cancer in men in the past was horrific. Now they say chances of survival are much better.
Many people and many things have tried to kill me during the last 70 years of my life, they have all failed.
I will survive this too.
Many thanks again RobG, a brilliant piece of help, as your Posts normally are.
Resident Dissident.
I spoke to Macmillan and one of their nurses at the outset before I had the operation.
Sorry to say I was not impressed.
I have not spoken to them since.
Brian Fujisan.
“If to-morrow starts without me”.
A tear jerker for me, and big time to boot.
However, it gave me a good grip of reality, what is!
For that, I thank you very much. I am a big fan of “what is”.
I am okay now.
Best wishes Robert. When I was in a bad way, my eldest brother contacted the local Macmillan to ask them for help. They wanted my post code. I never heard another word.
But we are alive unlike those 11 (or more) unfortunate people at Shoreham.
I looked to see who owns the jet.
Shoreham Airshow crash: Hawker Hunter was petrol station boss collector’s jet with a history
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/shoreham-airshow-crash-hawker-hunter-6302974
Is there a requirement for airshow organisers to have public liability insurance cover? If so, the premiums must be almost prohibitive.
There is another one coming up at the weekend in Surrey where Clarkson and co filmed Top Gear. All petrolheads will be attending.
Robert
I’m sorry about that – it is not consistent with the experience of others I know, and their website and booklets on cancer are all very informative. Good luck for your fight.
I appreciate RobG was trying to be helpful – but I’m afraid a lot of people find cancer very scary and when there are early signs of cancer they often resort to treatments such as turmeric and other things as an alternative to getting an early diagnosis – don’t! One of the best cures for all types of cancer is early diagnosis by medical professionals – the statistics clearly prove this to be the case.
I am not inclined to the view that Russophobes like Ba’al Devul…
Just to clear one thing up. I’m not a Russophobe. Russians, by and large, are fine by me. I work with a couple. That smear doesn’t work. It’s remarkably similar to the ‘criticism of Israeli policy = antisemitism’ trope, isn’t it?
This too is entertaining:
Perhaps then he is motivated either by neo-nazi sympathies or simply a desire to warm his hands besides the fire consuming continental Europe that Mrs Nuland and the State Department’s arsonists are determined to start. “Fuck the EU” she was once heard to tell the US Ambassador “let it burn” she might as well have added.
Radio Moscow in the 70’s would have been proud of you, Bevin. But I suggest you get a refresher course; the age of that rhetoric is beginning to show.
“Now I’m sure you’ll know where I’m going with this, because there is only one scientifically proven cause for wide spread cancer, that being manmade radionuclides.”
Complete and utter bollocks I’m afraid.
Go on Goss make an application to join – but please do include your links to your Rothchilds and other racist websites with your application forms just to save me the bother.
Serial liar lying again?
According to the Sri Lankan media, Tony Blair is on his penultimate day in the country, having (presumably – he’s not attracted the paparazzi) spent an idyllic couple of weeks at two luxury resorts. Last night he was reported to be enjoying a free meal with Samaraweera Mangala, SL’s once and future foreign minister:
http://lankanewsweb.net/news/special-news/item/498-mangala-hosts-dinner-for-blair
But the previous day he appears to have been in Jordan:
http://petra.gov.jo/Public_News/Nws_NewsDetails.aspx?Site_Id=1&lang=2&NewsID=210480&CatID=-1
If so, an element of desperation is beginning to show. His current MidEast meddling is being conducted without the authority of any concerned organisation – including Israel, ostensibly – has completely alienated Fatah, and bids fair to sell Hamas down the river.
We can only approve the stated intention of the talks with Hamas, which is to ease the Israeli stranglehold and permit reconstruction, but this goes so far against the Blair doctrine during the time when he was actually positioned to do anything about Gaza – he visited it three times at most, and was never shown the devastation Israel created there – that we may be permitted once again to doubt his intentions.
Mystic Ba’al Predicts:
The Blair ‘solution’ to Gaza will involve the relocation of its inhabitants to Sinai, surrounded by security of unprecedented depth and extent. Gaza will then revert to Israel, be largely bulldozed, and resettled with the Chosen Ones, while the now-wholly-isolated PA in the east is progressively marginalised further as settlement there is accelerated.
Might be wrong. We took a bit of an oneiromantic hammering when ISIS blew up Our shrine, but We think we’re on the money.
Mary, thanks we are both fighters. I am doing fine.
Resident Dissident.
I was never ill. I found a lump, reported immediately to my G.P. and all systems were go to take it out, it was massive, as big as my head, they said. Now that IS Big!.
I am still in good nick. Thanks.
Mary; “Macky I put up that link a little earlier!”
Just making sure that Ba’al Zevul noticed it ! 😉
Thank you, Macky. I did. But Corbyn’s approach has been costed in no more depth than anyone else’s. I’m sympathetic to it, and it is certainly the only one which rejects the garbage being promoted by the marketeers; and its good to know, perhaps, that economists can be found who don’t dismiss it out of hand, but I’ll let my criticism stand for now.
Incidentally, Macky, you must be very careful not to repeat any of Mary’s links. This requires reading all her posts, I’m afraid. Equally, if Mary pops up half-an hour after you have posted a link, with the same link, do not under any circumstances mention the fact. Word to the wise. 😉
I’m sure that there are many who will rejoin Labour if JC became leader, yet are reluctant to resign from “Left Unity, the Green Party or similar” just in case he doesn’t win.
That’s about my position. Also, if Corbyn were to lose, and head a credible splinter party, I’d want the option of joining that.

Thanks very much. Yes, Jane Messer – she’s the one in the middle in the hat. Cheers J
More ’70’s-style spontaneous celebration of national history. By spontaneous bikers not in any way connected with the Kremlin. Of course.

Disclaimer. There is absolutely no truth in any suggestion that the Night Wolves are anything but self-funded, spontaneous cuddly bunnies. Or that their ideology is indistinguishable from a neonazi one.
“Go on Goss make an application to join – but please do include your links to your Rothchilds and other racist websites with your application forms just to save me the bother.”
Hypothethetical but should circomstances favour me re-joining the Labur Party, and I make an application to join, and if that application is refused, I will be challenging the grounds especially if made by a duplicitous liar.

If everyone constantly attacked and harangued everyone with whom I disagreed on every subject, not necessarily on the actual subject-matter of the subject but in personal terms and on their aetiology (and that is a crucial distinction) with regards to Craig Murray’s blog, there would be no blog left.
A perceptive and prudent post Suhayl – thank-you
Get off my back Ba’al. You are just beginning to annoy.
Challenge all you want the evidence is there for all to see – I pretty sure that even Jeremy Corbyn would not want the Labour party to be associated with your anti-Semitic and racist guff – or a Holdomor or Katyn denier for that matter.
Suhayl – Thought you might like this aphorism [translated from the great Persian poet]
“Humans (lit., ‘children of Adam’) are the limbs of one/the same body,
and are from the same essence in their creation.
When the conditions of the time hurt one of these parts,
other parts will suffer from discomfort/restlessness, as well.
If you are indifferent about the misery of others,
it is not deserving to call you a human being.”
Mark Golding at 10:42 am
It would be lovely if people could live by such a code of human empathy. Nearly all great religions teach something similar. Unfortunately, those who get to power are not normally decent people. Therein lies the problem.
And if Mr Goss, like his fellow liars in Left Unity, tried to register as Labour Party supporter I believe that his 12:09am post provides evidence as to why he should be disqualified as a supporter let alone membership.
