Kezia Dugdale Got Just 5,217 Votes 1642

The Labour Party is being remarkably coy about releasing the actual result of its Scottish accounting unit leadership election, giving only a percentage. The entirely complacent unionist media is complicit in what amounts to a deception. The stunning truth is that in a one person, one vote election among the entire membership of the Labour Party in Scotland plus trades union supporters, Dugdale won with 5,217 votes (out of a claimed electorate of 21,000, many of whom do not exist or could not be arsed to choose between two right wing numpties).

UPDATE: A second Labour figure just rang me to assure me my information – which was from a good source – is wrong. She would not give the actual figure and only said it was “higher”. I offered to take down the post and publish an accurate figure if she would give it, but this was declined.

I just heard war criminal Gordon Brown on the radio threatening supporters of Jeremy Corbyn that if their favoured candidate wins the leadership then “we will have to look at the lessons of history” – or some such pomposity.

When people who know a bit about the history of the labour movement think of the Thatcherite, CIA-friendly, City-of-London-friendly, “New Labour” fraction that has owned the party for the last 20 years, the first figure from the past that we think of is Ramsay MacDonald.

I’ve said before that if Labour MPs don’t like the policies that are decided by the membership, they shouldn’t stand for re-election as Labour MPs.

Is this what Brown means too – that the right-wing scum such as himself should leave?

    If so, good riddance!

British war criminals seem to be having a bit of a parade against Corbyn: Blair, Straw, Brown. Where’s Hoon? Where’s Prescott? Come on, you mass murderers with your well-stocked bank accounts, snouts out of trough for a few hours, get in the BBC car and come and do your bit for the embassy!

I still think Corbyn won’t win. If he does, it will be the first time I can remember that the Zionazi lobby has publicly opposed a British figure at that level and been knocked back. No person who support the Palestinians, even in the moderate way that Corbyn does, has ever led a major British political party.

But we shall see. I thought it was interesting the way the rulers played the parliamentary card a few years ago, both in Britain and in head office across the Atlantic, saying that parliamentary disapproval stopped them from attacking Syria. Obama and Cameron threw up their hands in unison, saying OK, well if the legislature don’t want us to do something, then we won’t. What a ridiculous spectacle. But new. And choreographed.(And never mind the Russians shooting down the missile over the Mediterranean, eh? That was probably the real reason for the climbdown.) So it’s possible that Corbyn could win.

Unfortunately the figure being touted in the US as similar to Corbyn, Bernie Sanders, is pro-Israeli. I was wondering whether he was one of the very few US representatives who didn’t stand up and cheer for the Zionist massacre in Gaza, but he wasn’t. He’s no Dennis Kucinich.

Mary the petition runs until Feb, it has a good chance of reaching the target set, I however doubt anything will materialise from it.

Netanyahu has too many connected friends at Westminster….still you just never know.

“Gordon Brown has said he is “not here to attack any individual candidate””.

Why does he do it then?

RoS I think the petition will get there. 2/3rds of the number required is there already.

That old revolving door has been in action again.

Former ministers walk through revolving door into boardrooms

A number of ministers in the Coalition government have secured jobs with organisations with which they had official dealings in government, it can be revealed

Yes I have been busy today.

Cut a hedge and cleared away brambles

    Washed the car

Went down to Petworth and had a lovely walk in Capability Brown’s park

    Did some shopping

Watched a cricket match being played on a village green

Much nicer and more scenically beautiful than beaches in nasty old Israhell.

Its these revolving doors that lie behind a creeping privatisation, Mary, thanks for that, with ex ministers offering their expertise, pushing for resolve at the door of their colleagues, this whole edifice is a stinking cesspit.

Watching Gordon Brown pace up and down behind the lectern as he mumbled his covert, attack on Corbyn today, I couldn’t help but notice how few the listeners were in number.

It had the feeling of a closed shop and was in my opinion almost certainly staged. As soon as Brown had finished waffling, the crowd en masse jumped to their feet and enthusiastically applauded him.

This kind of staged event shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, during the Scottish referendum Brown spoke only behind closed doors and to acolytes.

However the media (scoundrels) broadcast his efforts far and wide. Brown’s speech today has that feeling to it.

It will be interesting to see who the Labour stalwarts rally behind.

To be honest Habb, I haven’t even read your posts on Netanyahu and the petition.

If there were really any justice, to be had, Netanyahu would just be one of a number of politically influencial men, to face the music and vexation, would have nothing to do with it.

I am however realistic enough to know, that, that day is indeed, very far off unfortunately.

Well Habbabkuk, after all this time of lies and denial, you have divulged your purpose here – namely to bring Craig’s blog into disrepute by accusing contributing posters of anti-Semitism.

Perhaps you’ve been emboldened by the Zionist supporting media attacks on Jeremy Corbyn?

You are obviously a Zionist supporter Habbabkuk. I don’t know if you are a Jewish Zionist or not but if you are you should be ashamed of yourself for bringing the worlds Jews into disrepute through your Zionist hasbara activities.

There are no Jew-baiters-and-haters on this blog as far as I know.

    Nevermind You are correct.

I just happened to look for Simmonds and the company FIRST as I knew that some time back he had been outed for not declaring £50k pa from Circle Health who got the contract to take over the running of an NHS hospital Hinchingbrooke Hospital. He muttered an apology to the ‘House’ as instructed by the Parliamentary Commissioner.

‘Despite being a full-time MP, Mr Simmonds also held various jobs, including a role at Circle Healthcare, an independent medical care provider.

Mr Simmonds was paid £50,000 a year from June 2011 to act as a strategic adviser to the group.

In February 2012, Mr Simmonds was forced to apologise for failing to make clear the interest when speaking in favour of the NHS shake-up.

Mr Simmonds said he wanted to apologise for “inadvertently” failing to declare his interest and dropped the Circle Healthcare role when he was given a job in the Foreign Office in September 2012.

He was also the chairman of chartered surveyors Mortlock Simmonds, which required about 10 hours work a month, for which he was paid £800 a month.’

Doug, I’m still of the opinion that our nemesis is more Cheltenham than hasbara.

The easiest way to disrupt threads on boards like this is to bring Israel into it.

The hasbara would never post messages saying that they are playing football, or whatever, on beaches in Israel.

More likely our nemesis are playing football on the beaches of Haverford West.
