Given the disgraceful Sun front page and middle spread urging war on Syria, and the all-out propaganda on Sky News, it is important to understand why Murdoch is pushing so hard for war. I therefore reproduce my article from February 2013. It is important to note that the links are to industry publications: this is very genuine, hard information.
Israel Grants Oil Rights in Syria to Murdoch and Rothschild
Israel has granted oil exploration rights inside Syria, in the occupied Golan Heights, to Genie Energy. Major shareholders of Genie Energy – which also has interests in shale gas in the United States and shale oil in Israel – include Rupert Murdoch and Lord Jacob Rothschild. This from a 2010 Genie Energy press release
Claude Pupkin, CEO of Genie Oil and Gas, commented, “Genie’s success will ultimately depend, in part, on access to the expertise of the oil and gas industry and to the financial markets. Jacob Rothschild and Rupert Murdoch are extremely well regarded by and connected to leaders in these sectors. Their guidance and participation will prove invaluable.”
“I am grateful to Howard Jonas and IDT for the opportunity to invest in this important initiative,” Lord Rothschild said. “Rupert Murdoch’s extraordinary achievements speak for themselves and we are very pleased he has agreed to be our partner. Genie Energy is making good technological progress to tap the world’s substantial oil shale deposits which could transform the future prospects of Israel, the Middle East and our allies around the world.”
For Israel to seek to exploit mineral reserves in the occupied Golan Heights is plainly illegal in international law. Japan was succesfully sued by Singapore before the International Court of Justice for exploitation of Singapore’s oil resources during the second world war. The argument has been made in international law that an occupying power is entitled to opeate oil wells which were previously functioning and operated by the sovereign power, in whose position the occupying power now stands. But there is absolutely no disagreement in the authorities and case law that the drilling of new wells – let alone fracking – by an occupying power is illegal.
Israel tried to make the same move twenty years ago but was forced to back down after a strong reaction from the Syrian government, which gained diplomatic support from the United States. Israel is now seeking to take advantage of the weakened Syrian state; this move perhaps casts a new light on recent Israeli bombings in Syria.
In a rational world, the involvement of Rothschild and Murdoch in this international criminal activity would show them not to be fit and proper persons to hold major commercial interests elsewhere, and action would be taken. Naturally, nothing of the kind will happen.
And it’s not like the people of gaza have any future is it? It’s questionable for the rest of us, but for them without much doubt life will very soon be unsustainable…
Kind of inspiring and humbling.

‘Cameron’s announcement that Britain will take in 11 Syrian refugees a day (up to 20,000 over 5 years) neglected to mention that all of them, including Syrian orphans, will be deported after five years, according to Paddy Ashdown.’
If the actual outcomes of these Syrian ophans mirror those of the ‘UASCs’ already here, most will end up staying, despite Pantsdown’s claims to the contrary. Or, as wikipedia puts it-
‘However, there is a large group of young people who remain in the country even after their request for extended leave is denied. This group is referred to as “end of line/appeal rights exhausted,” and are people “who have been refused asylum or any form of temporary protection or their leave to remain has expired (and an application to extend it refused), and they have exhausted all appeals.”[8]
Although these people no longer have a legal right to remain in Britain, they have for one reason or another not been removed from the UK and instead remain. Non-removal can occur for any number of reasons, but most commonly it is because many countries have inadequate return procedures and it is complicated to ensure that people will be returned home safely.’

I know from having previously worked in a London Council that many UASC individuals are assisted, and receive public funds, well into their 20s, both in respect of accommodation, and with tertiary education. I have no doubt many of the Syrian orphans who may be admitted will receive similar levels of assistance. and that repatriation post 18(as is the case with the thousands of UASCs here now, as adults)will be similarly uncommon.
Does anyone else see that these refugees are like Palestinian refugees burnt, murdered and genocided from their homes in 1918, 1948 to make way for Eretz Israel? Zionists using their ISIS proxies to empty the land so they can then claim it? Watch for Kurd Statehood to be drawn out of Syria and the realization of “Nile to Efrat” borders to soon be realized.
Multiculturalism is the Trojan Horse they’ll use to destabilize region and swipe the spoils.

Habba- you’re right to call out Mary here for using terminology more suited to anti semitic bores down at the golf club. It detracts from the completely valid points Craig and others make about Genie Energy’s complicity in ignoring a basic precept of international law through their ongoing activites in the Golan Heights.

Is this just a bit of eerie prescience or is the leak in a Plan?

Constantly reminded i’m out of place on this blog. “Golf club”, aren’t we meant to be freedom fighters?… Sports, *sigh* golf *double sigh*…
As if Habba isn’t purely about distancing from, or undermining in any way, said points regardless of notions of justice and fairness…. I question if it’s ‘right’ he says anything on this blog with such a way, centrally not helpful, or remotely challenging in an intellectual way… Same old script they all use…
I sometimes think they are just here to induce vomit feelings.
Pitiable to see a man of eighty-four still venally addicted to the amassing of wealth at whatever cost. At that age a better plan might be to ponder one’s mortality and the transience of this World.
Why does Murdoch push for war??
Because he’s deeply unenlightened, full of hate, greed and ignorance?
Grand Theft Oil
It’s a clever strategy to create a company, give it certain government guarantees and invite key people in the media and politics to become shareholders in order to enable a prospective outcome. Is Tony-B a shareholder or did he miss out during the initial float?
What is missing from this discussion, however, is Syria’s share of the large energy reserves in the Levantine Basin. After an Iraq-style, NATO invasion (let’s call it ‘Operation Smiley-Faces’), Syria will need to be rebuilt and companies like Genie and Halliburton will be ready to meet the special challenges of reconstruction including energy discovery and production — with generous terms for those companies, of course.
I expect the new US-Russian proxy war and subsequent geopolitical side-effects will give everyone plenty of material to quarrel over for the next 20 odd years or so.
In the meantime, the security implications of the Syrian exodus are potentially catastrophic. With thousands of refugees being encouraged to enter and settle in the EU without challenge, many presumably without identification papers, the chaos that comes with a breakdown of immigration regulation has overwhelmed security checks and has delivered a unique opportunity for ISIL to strike a blow to the West.
It takes very little imagination, after witnessing the bloodshed and mayhem taking place in Syria *right* *now*, to see that it is entirely plausible that several hundred well-organised terrorists working together could bring about a massacre unlike anything seen since the end of WWII. What will the public mood be then?

What’s the problem? fleeing refugees. What’s the answer on the BBC? More bombing. British Bombing Corp (-ses).
A recording of the Newsnight interview with Julian Assange last night is contained within this thread.

The interviewer was one Nick Hopkins who jumped ship last year from the Guardian LOL.

‘Hopkins said: “I have had a tremendous time at the Guardian and been lucky enough to be involved in some amazing stories,” said Hopkins. “But there is something very special about the BBC and particularly Newsnight. When I was a cub reporter on the Surrey Comet, I watched it with a sense of envy and awe. I never thought I’d have the chance to join such an influential and inspiring programme. And now I do.”‘

Reprieve comment
UK drone strikes in Syria
September 7, 2015
Commenting on the announcement that a UK drone strike in Syria ordered without Parliamentary approval has killed two British citizens, Kat Craig, Legal Director of Reprieve’s Abuses in Counter-Terrorism team, said:
“Make no mistake – what we are seeing is the failed US model of secret strikes being copied wholesale by the British government. Ministers repeatedly promised Parliament and the public that there would be no military operations in Syria without Parliamentary approval. The fact that David Cameron has bypassed Parliament to commit these covert strikes is deeply worrying – as is his refusal to share what legal advice he was given.
“This also comes at a time when numerous American officials have said their own global drone killing policy has failed. As US strikes in Yemen and Pakistan have shown, this level of secrecy around drone killing is impractical and untenable – not least because mistakes are easily made, and can have devastating human consequences. On a decision of this importance, it’s not enough for the Prime Minister just to assert he was advised it was legal – Parliament and the public need to see that advice.”

How many others have met the same fate?
“Any challenge to a racist is met with vitriolic ad hominem replies.”
Something that I have found here for a long time.
“Any challenge to a racist is met with vitriolic ad hominem replies.”
Looks like I hit a raw nerve. Coming from a lying jew-hater who regularly points out jew names as evidence of a jew conspiracy, and who starts off an exchange with ad hominem, complains about ad hominem and then goes on with more ad hominem – – well, it is just too pathetic to laugh at any more. Dementia is so much worse in those with a poor education, driven by religious mania and manifesting Dunning-Kruger type delusions of intellectual competence.
Mary’s misleading header in linking to Ali Rizvi’s Donny Trump piece conveniently omits the fact that he (Rizvi) states that he disagrees with almost every political position held by Trump. The point of his article is that Trump should not be dismissed as an irrelevance. His participation in US politics is quite the unstated wildcard, obviously having unpredictable effects on the political outcome of the next federal election which will impact on the rest of the world for good or bad — maybe that should be ‘bad or badder’. Mary doesn’t get it because she doesn’t get anything, including everthing related to her Palestinian hobby horse.
She goes on with “Is this better than previous links to a Pat Condell’s racist mouthings or links to a strange website http://whywontgodhealamputees.com/ Yes. Really. I am not making it up.”
All with that “nudge, nudge, you know what I mean?” tone that desperately reaches out for confirmation, agreement and approval.
Well, no, Mary. Nobody knows what you mean. And nor do they care, given the complete lack of interest in your silly accusations. Pat Condell is famously NOT a racist as you have so brazenly lied. Maybe you just don’t like him because you hate everyone who doesn’t hate jews like you do.
And the website she kindly links to “why won’t god heal amputees” is an atheist website that asks the rhetorical question of people who insist that god is an active benevolent agent in all our lives, seeking to help good people and thwart the bad. Of course, the answer is – “because god doesn’t exist, duh!”. But yet again, Mary doesn’t “get it” because she is too stupid to comprehend the ramifications of a godless universe and too ignorant to engage in real discussion beyond one or two sentences. ‘Unhinged’ is a term that springs to mind. Oh, and ‘anti-Atheist bigot’ is another.
Reyaad Khan, from Cardiff, and Ruhul Amin, from Aberdeen, were killed in the aerial raid which was ordered without Commons approval.
David Cameron said the attack was carried out with the approval of the Attorney General [Jeremy Wright, appointed by Cameron in 2014] but without parliamentary backing.
Mr Cameron defended the RAF raid, telling the Commons it was “necessary and proportionate”, adding it was “entirely lawful”.
“We were exercising the UK’s inherent right to self-defence,”
If the above is based on the advice of the Attorney General then the Attorney General is an arse and in the wrong job.
A question for Jeremy (Wrong) Wright:
Two Real IRA men, who were suspected of plotting to bomb the UK, are targeted and killed by a missile fired from an RAF drone flying in the Republic of Ireland’s airspace.
Would that be lawful?
Isn’t bombing our own people precisely what we’re demonising Assad for? Just sayin’. I don’t think we’re going to be able to punt our civilised values to the people whose hearts, minds and consumer spending we’re trying to win over, if we go down that route.
Jemand: calm down mate. Mary simply has yet to learn that not everyone who smiles at her is her bestest friend, and not everyone who shits on her is her sworn enemy. Also, she doesn’t read other peoples’ posts (striking example of that a little further up). I tend to reciprocate by not reading hers – less stressful, really.
Doug Scorgie
Indeed, and what if the two guys had been living in, say, the United States? Would it have been lawful to drone strike them there?

Shame on you.
HabbaClown-Troll; “Are posts like this one – and there have been many others like it – not a clear indication that Mary is a Jew-baiter-and-hater?”
No, but your comment is a clear indication that;
1. You & other feeble-minded, are too stupid to acknowledge the connection between the illegal occupation of an area by the “Jewish State of Israel”, the relevance of the “granting” of exploitation rights iro this area to a commercial entity whose senior executives/Board Members/Investors seem to mainly compromise of individuals with Jewish backgrounds.
2. Your constant disingenuous attempts to smear people as anti-Semites, because they dare highlight not just the crimes committed daily by Israel, but also how Israel is able to get away & carry on committing its crimes, is fooling nobody, except of course your fellow feeble-minded as mentioned above.
