The Great Kowtow 720

The dreadfully stultified pageantry of the British state has been on full display the last couple of days, all mouldy ermine, fraying gold braid and musty velvet. But forms which evolved as a vibrant display of Imperial might have transmuted into rituals of obeisance, as the nonogenerian Prince Philip stumbles behind the Chinese President along lines of men wearing decaying bears on their heads. The sickness of Britain’s monarchical system was never more bluntly revealed than by the rictus grins of the aristocratic clowns balancing their tiaras at the state banquet.

The Chinese are the imperial masters now. Cameron begs them to build a nuclear power station for which the British state guarantees it will pay double the market price for electricity produced, for twenty years. And a government which has just announced the extension of thought crime to the expression of non-violent or anti-violent thought deemed “extreme”, has no locus to talk about human rights, a concept at least as alien to Teresa May as it is to the Chinese Communist Party. Britain has its own war criminals like Blair and Straw running around, immune and very wealthy.

The British state is an immoral entity which I view with disgust. That is what drives for me the imperative to early Scottish Independence to be rid of it. Every day as a British citizen is like bathing in sewage.

The CCS Association, from their own “About Us” section:

The Carbon Capture & Storage Association (CCSA) was launched in March 2006 to represent the interests of its members in promoting the business of [CCS]…”

Who’d have thunk this was a good, independent source for saying how wonderful CCS is? Answers on a postcard, please…

    “Here’s the REAL truth.”

Truth is Tata’s consortium bid to supply all the steel and now they are closing their plants in Dalzell and Clydebridge, the last two steel mills in Scotland.

H: “I am in two minds about this. If the UK population is ageing then perhaps we should be encouraging British mothers to have more, not fewer children – and to spend the money, time and effort to make sure that those children have as good life chances as those born into more affluent and, dare I say it, more “conventional families”. Apart from the moral imperative of doing the very best we can for the nation’s children, they are our economic and social future.

If the population is aging (by virtue of the fact that fewer people die young), we’ll have a demographic that is going to age-out of being a burden, eventually. Balance will be achieved. We do not have infinite resources, and constantly expanding our population to make it young-heavy is completely unsustainable. People apparently forget that the younger will, in turn, become burdensome themselves – whether the intake of young is home-made or imported.

The Speenhamland system was as much of a disaster as the Corn Laws for the poor. Despite poorly informed notions to the contrary, this latest suggested legislation will not suddenly impoverish large families. It discourages the endless child production which is rather popular among those who see their own children as a source of income, and would that not be welcomed? Anybody making decisions about children based on the benefits they would derive from them, should probably not have so many in the first place.

It’s surely worthy of discussion, not mindless condemnation and ad hominems. And yes, the penny dropped some time back.

Thank you Brian. RIP indeed Dr Hashem. He is one of the very many Palestinians that Israel has killed.

These two American Zionist Jews who profess to ‘love Israel’ have belatedly come to the conclusion that it is unsupportable and that its existence is in question. They will never visit and are boycotting it. They also want American aid to be withdrawn. I hope their movement takes off.

We are lifelong Zionists. Here’s why we’ve chosen to boycott Israel.

    Fred, 5:12pm.

“In the real world we have real winters, real frost real snow. real old age pensioners who die of real hypothermia if the electricity goes off. Solar doesn’t work in the dark and turbines don’t work without wind we will always have to have enough conventional power stations to meet peak load.”

Obviously Fred did not live in the North of Scotland before the Hydro came along and connected up to his house. I did, and I remember snow up the eaves. Electricity was non-existant, North Sea Oil & Gas were unheard of, but everyone was as cosy as bugs in a rug. I could go back to a house with none of these services even today and prepare it for the worst that winter could throw at it by just getting on with the work of preparing my fuel and food supplies. People lived where Fred lives today for millennia without the luxuries that he expects on tap, probably the sturdiest people in the British Isles.
Scotland has always been a rich country with a relatively small population and remains such.

Habby, we may need to agree to disagree.

On JSW, I think, apart from writing eloquently with an inherent Old World ring, he talks sense. He would be a welcome addition to what has become a rather boring cast of characters.

The hollow vessel in my view is the ageing Banal lizard who is incredibly predictable and loves the sound of his own voice. Did you not notice how he was getting rude and upset while JSW brushed him off as a fly?

Further, while JSW is quite obviously a man of class, the other is a crude pedestrian, or a Hell’s Angels (whoever they are) biker at best.

Btw, Habby why do you think Banal has you blocked out? Is he not a coward?

Talking of personalities where are Technicolour and Dreoilin?

    ______________

I very much doubt that Fred, TATA only produce plate steel, it’s not a steel fabricator.

The main steel subcontract was placed by FCBC with ZPMC (China) who had the capacity to deliver the necessary quality of steel within the timescale demanded.

Which takes us back to the beginning Fred, your lot destroyed the heavy industries in Britain, it’s in such a state now that the Chinese and French are building a nuclear power station, at an extortionate cost.

The phrase “A Nation of Shopkeepers” was wrongly attributed to Napoleon, but that is infact what Britain has become.

They no longer invest in heavy industries, the train of thought is now, let them fold and import it in instead.

I don’t think Michael Meacher’s funeral has taken place yet but there is already jockeying for his seat.

Radical Corbyn ally lined up for by-election after death of MP Michael Meacher
Ally of Jeremy Corbyn is being tipped to replace the late Michael Meacher
Jon Lansman is the founder of the hard Left Momentum group
His party is plotting to infiltrate local Labour party branches
But he’s being considered as a Labour rep for Oldham West and Royton

    Kowtowing to China.

    The ever excellent Corbett, explains:

“Military tensions, cyber espionage accusations, a brewing currency war; with every passing day, the headlines paint a convincing portrait of an emerging cold war between China and the West. But is this surface level reality the whole picture, or is there a deeper level to this conflict? Is China an opponent to the New World Order global governmental system or a witting collaborator with it?”

Well put together examination of the evidence:

With all the tectonic shifting going on in global alliances and the EU disappearing up its Belgium, is there not now an urgency that Scotland find some mechanism for a quick exit from the Union?

Is there anything happening, on that score?

  • fred

    @Rob Royston

Problem is very few of the houses which have been built in the last 50 years have chimneys. People have electric central heating or gas and oil fired central heating neither of which work without electricity. Even the wind generators do not work without in a power cut. How is someone who lives in a tower block in Glasgow going to heat their home without electricity?

Then there is industry, remember 73 when Britain didn’t have enough coal to keep the power stations fired? The three day week? When the old stations have to close electricity will have to be rationed if there are no new power stations built to replace them.

But there is no need for that, Westminster is building new power stations to replace those which will soon be past their use by date. However do feel free to return to the Highlands and attempt life without them, personally I doubt you’d last long, I think like many others here you are full of shit, all talk and no trousers.

    Mary: Baroness Cox:

“‘Muslim men in some British communities are ‘having up to 20 children each’ because Sharia law allows them to have many wives”

Islam makes it a condition that you support your wives, and many do, but many don’t, drifting between several single women whom UK law regards as single mothers but Islam recognises as wives. This is a political strategy by political Muslims who hate the UK state. They have a fatwa making this abuse of English law legal, even though it is not allowed in Islam to break the law of your host country.

The same political Muslims spy on ordinary Muslims who watch porn on the internet because the spiers have fully satisfied their sexual desires by parking their many girlfriends on the benefit system of the UK state. Utter hypocrisy and it stinks.

Why do I call them political Muslims? Because these same, self-righteous cunts also travel, while their wives are being looked after by the UK state and then make takfir of the ordinary Muslims in Syria who are supporting their several wives, on the grounds that they are collaborators with the Syrian State. What is parking your girlfriends on the winking nodding UK state if it is not collaboration?

Political Islam is making up rules for others and exempting itself from the same rules. That’s why the majority of Syrian men are fighting with Al Qaida on Assad’s side in spite of him being a dictator and in spite of him being a non-Muslim Alawite.

Political Islam has been castrated in Egypt after the US imposed their stooge on them and it is in the process of being castrated in Syria by Russian bombing and ground support. Unfortunately in spite of being castrated the dogs are still able to sniff their prey with their noses in disgusting displays of Saudi dreams of dominance on Western MSM.

What the Qur’an actually teaches in relation to Muslims and the non-Muslims is that we will receive a double punishment for not showing a good example of behaviour to the non-Muslims, one for not doing the right thing ourselves and one for not showing a good example of the truth of Islam. Gross injustice by the Saudi state, or the fraudulent UK Muslim, will get them their jackpot punishment.

You have to laugh at RoS. The blog’s “most virulent Scotch nationalist”, who won’t take even the slightest criticism of Scotland, not even of its diseased farmed salmon industry,
without leaping to the defence of all things Scotch.

And yet he’s not Scottish and doesn’t even live in Scotland. We’re dealing with extreme anti-English self-hate here guys.

  • lysias

I thought Scots found use of the word “Scotch” for anything but their national drink offensive. Have I been misinformed?

Interesting to see another commenter repeat (without evidence) the charge that RoS is not Scottish (so he knows enough to use the word) and does not live in Scotland.

  • lysias

Or maybe he used the word “Scottish” that one time because he was merely copying what his model had said.

  • lysias

Self-hate is a favorite charge of one particular group. I don’t think it’s much, if at all, used by any others.

  • fred

“I thought Scots found use of the word “Scotch” for anything but their national drink offensive. Have I been misinformed?”

Some Scots find it offensive which is why it’s so easy for people like Anon1 to wind them up.

Most Scots couldn’t give a shit.

Political Islam’s game of getting its wives paid for by the UK state in exchange for fighting for USUKIS’ colonial interests in the Middle East and elsewhere is categorically not allowed in Islam, whether the mufti says it is or not. The punishment for an Islamic scholar for making a false fatwa is considerably more than double punishment, like eternity in in the worst part of hell.

We’ve had many centuries of collaborating political Islam bringing the Muslims to destruction by their political ambitions. Sitting in London or Norway issuing false fatwas doesn’t normally land a Russian cruise missile on your head.

“And yet he’s not Scottish and doesn’t even live in Scotland. We’re dealing with extreme anti-English self-hate here guys.”

    Guyane

Given all your waffle during the last five years or so about what Muslims are or are not entitled to , demand and expect, have and have not received, do and don’t want, etc, might it not have occurred to you that life might have been simpler, preferable even (for the native inhabitants) had they chosen not to move here at all? I mean, isn’t it just a catalogue of one problem after another that you don’t get with (say) the Chinese or the Polish?

in simple terms, can’t you just bog off to Kurdistan with all this crap?

    Rob Royston:

“everyone was as cosy as bugs in a rug”

I’m just fitting a woodburner because I can’t afford the heat my house with gas and the boiler has also packed up.

Don’t take any notice of foul-mouth Fred. A double-lined self-standing steel chimney would probably have been better than making the old chimney good.

  • Anon1

“I thought Scots found use of the word “Scotch” for anything but their national drink offensive. Have I been misinformed?”

Perhaps, but I couldn’t care less.

    Anointed1

Put one connection of the shower mixer hose in your mouth and the other in your Belgium and connect the other end to your gas boiler. Then you too can be “as cosy as bugs in a rug”

It’s a new World order. Woe to any one or any thing that gets in the way of the horrible thing.

Uh oh! Past trolls sleep time. crocodiles may be able to switch off one part of the brain and leave the other side open and functioning, but trolls haven’t yet found a way to switch either side on.
