BBC Bias 763

I am involved quite extensively in the making of what I believe to be a valuable independent documentary. It is based on George Ponsonby’s excellent book London Calling, and has the working title How the BBC Stole the Referendum. We have already done a few hours filming of my contribution.

The film is being directed by Alan Knight. It still requires some finance, having raised over £12,000 so far from crowd sourcing. If any readers of this blog can make a contribution, it would be gratefully received. I vouch for the good faith and commitment of the production team, though I am not in any sense connected with the management or finances.

I should like to ask for a couple of other bits of help as well. Can anybody find the BBC footage of the appalling Gavin Esler puff piece for the “Vote No Borders” PR campaign. The BBC broadcast it repeatedly on every TV news programme on 2 May 2014, but seem to have managed to erase all trace of it from the internet. It might also be useful if somebody could take a little video footage of the company nameplate of Acanchi Ltd at 24 Chiswell Street, London, EC2Y 4YX. Footage of the nameplate, the street sign and a little of the surroundings, just to visually establish it is in London. The technical quality of that little bit of video is not terrifically important.

UPDATE

See Gill R’s comment below. The company may be at Unit 311 Business Design Centre, 52 Upper Street, London N1 0QH. If anyone can easily get to either address and see what they can film it would still be helpful.

To narrow it a bit more. Frankie, I think, is panting a picture that links those that endorse this kind of thing with an imagined psychosis of the masses.

Like the bombs are connected with ‘our’ fear of the other. Bet that’s the same bullshit in the heads of those who undoubtedly imagine the vote they took was democratic.

No, there is no we, they took that decision, most people are far more civilized, don’t choose violence and theft as a career path.

  • Ishmael

….Or indeed those who imagine this as a ‘mature democracy’.

Obvious many have never worked in a factory for minimum wage.

  • Alcyone

The Climate accord is being hailed as the greatest diplomatic success.

It has the potential of positive movement of our Type Zero Globe.

The spread of English towards a common language for mankind will also contribute.

Why is it that problems like Syria can’t be solved diplomatically? Think about it.

Another great example of international cooperation is the International Space Station. Phenomenal.

  • John Goss

Thanks Alcyone and Ba’al for raising the Blair-Straw complicity in torture, they were complicit in going to war in Afghanistan and Iraq, and only a fool or troll would argue they did not know. But the most ludicrous part of the Guardian report whcih actually made me laugh out loud, regards the suspended Gibson report (suspended by Cameron who is trying to protect these criminals). It is not funny but what made me laugh was:

“Not all of Sir Peter Gibson’s interim report has been made public. His inquiry was shelved by the government and is now being completed in secret by Westminster’s intelligence and security committee.”

So a fat tome of redacted black lines where once existed text will be released for our consumption. Lordy.

I am sometimes criticized for not being anti-zionist enough. The reason for that is simple: on boards like this an anti-zionist stance gives too much ammunition to the enemy to label you as anti-jew. I am not anti-anyone, and I would like to think that my posts here show that I don’t have a racist bone in my body.

I’m sure that many here will be familiar with this part of a talk that David Icke gave a number of years back, directly addressing zionism…

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynPeru8qbV4

I do not subscribe to a lot of David Icke’s views, but he’s right on the money with this one.

If you have the inclination, listen to what Icke says about zionism. I can’t fault it factually.

  • RobG

Mods, it’s your call, but patently ridiculous that you’re censoring this stuff.

It’s not hate speech, or anything that breaks the law.

I state that I disagree with David Icke on many things; but not on the issue of zionism.

A letter to the Sunday Telegraph:

SIR – Your article “The Royals and a long line of snubs to Israel” raises a troubling problem, and one that must be urgently resolved for reasons that go beyond the political.

The ban on royal visits to Israel dates back to the end of the British mandate and the creation of the State of Israel in 1948, which humiliated the Foreign Office, frustrating its carefully crafted plans over three decades to deny the Jewish homeland that had been promised by the Foreign Secretary, Arthur Balfour, in 1917.

The reason was a desire to appease and inveigle the Arab countries, all of which opposed the creation of the Jewish state, in order to gain influence over them and their oil. Also tied up in this in the late Thirties was the legitimate intent to prevent an Arab alliance with the Nazis, which failed.

The Foreign Office continues to harbour a deep-seated resentment towards Israel, refusing to allow a royal visit until the Jewish state changes its policies.

In two years we will see the centenary of the liberation by British forces under General Allenby of the Holy City of Jerusalem. A total of 16,000 British and Commonwealth soldiers died in the Palestine Campaign – the second largest theatre of operations of the First World War.

Will the Foreign Office prevent royal attendance at the centenary commemoration of the war in Palestine? Will it allow its grudge against Israel to deny British soldiers who fell fighting for the Crown there an equal honour to that bestowed on their comrades in arms at Gallipoli this year, when both the Prince of Wales and Prince Harry were present?
    Colonel Richard Kemp
Former Commander of British Forces in Afghanistan
    London SW1
    …………………………………………………………………….

Using the memories of fallen British soldiers in the Palestine Campaign to try and legitimise this pariah state is, in my opinion, appalling.

What else will the Zionist supporters come up with?

Republic of Scotland… where does one begin?

Camels, veiled concubines, brown mixed-race children, “a nigger for a neighbour”, Billy-Boys and Fenians. I am calling out the commentator ‘Billy Corr’ as a racist. I am invoking his worst nightmares, using overt and explicit language and stereotypical imagery in order to display the idicoy and racism of his comment and I am saying that his worst nightmares will move next door to him. He made a bigoted comment. I am taunting him.

What precisely upset you so much about that riposte that led you to critice me, and not him? You were not upset about the camels? Or the concubines? Or the brown children? Why, then, did the Billy-Boys and Fenians upset you so?

Truthfully, though, I can’t be bothered. If it’s not obvious now, it never will be.

If it is ever to be, I would have thought that the Republic of Scotland will need no holds barred, no euphemistic obfuscation and on a very profound level it will require an incisive sense of the absurd. The recent literature produced from Scotland exemplifies this.

This has been a good day for CM blog. The mods shooting down of Mary’s posts was half -welcomed by Craig, like Turkey shooting down a Russian jet was half-welcomed by NATO.
Craig, NATO, Muslim Brotherhood, most UK Muslim imams and pseudo-imam intellectuals ALL want the abomination of Israel and its racist apartheid to be played down. The BBC has had a flood of Israeli do-gooders outreaching across divides, healing tenions in the community. Yuck the BBC is not bias itis bull-shit.

The gate-keepers of Europe , the US hegemony project that in our lifetimes brought Europe in from the cold to control by capitalist market forces, want to be the masters of Islam. They want Islam to be brought under US hegemony, and they don’t understand why that cannot be done politically, same as it was done in Europe.

The key lies in one sentence of Marl Goldings link to :
    https://dispatchesfromtheedgeblog.wordpress.com/
The content is exactly the same as Thiery Miessan’s volteirenet.org, with one exception that Conn sees a division between Saudi Arabia and the Muslim Brotherhood, a division that the goons think they can exploit. Did not Saudi Arabia fund the revolt against the US puppet Mursi? Yes, the political class of Saudi did.

We see now the extraordinary level of corruption in high office that Turkey’s Erdogan has been capable of. Mursi was the same. Erdogan’s corruption, in arms sales to IS, oil exports from IS to the West, murder of journalists, racism against the Kurds has brought layer upon layer of disgrace to the name of Islam. Erdogan is a buffoon of deepest ignorance.

By transferring power to Sisi, Saudi managed to separate the corruption of the military class in Egypt, which has poisoned the drinking water and ruined the economy, from Islam. Yes Saudi Arabia will support terror, but they won’t support open corruption. The Saudis instinctively hate public disgrace. They claim harsh treatment of protesters is a mercy from Islam, even though this is utter nonsense. it saves them face.

The Muslim Brotherhood on the other hand, being a political creation of Israel and the British will work with any form of lying, any form of cheating, any form of falsity, even in your face. Prove it otherwise is their motto/kalima. If you’re clever enough to get away with it is the shallow level of their public face.

Is there a division for the West to exploit here in Syria? No, you can split hairs but now that the Saudis have used Al Qaida and Daesh to attack the Syrian people the Syrian people will never see the distinction again between the slightly different brands of total garbage, rubbish of takfirism between the Saudi version and Muslim Bastards version.
As Russia says: if it looks like a terrorist, walks like a terrorist and acts like a terrorist, then it;s a terrorist and we will attack it.

The people of Europe have reached out to the pilight of the Syrian refugees. They can see that these are intelligent and human people, whose country has been subjected to a monstrous caricature of Islam, served up by the various stooges of the West , whether that be Muslim Brotherhood, Saudi Arabia or the Taliban all working for mercenary gain, for the hegemony of the US over Islam.

Well fuck ’em. USUKIS and its political Islam trolls and its fake, dubbed Allahu Akbars
can go screw themselves. The Syrian people are not going to get caught by the divide and rule merchants of the West. If it looks like a terrorist etc. As Aamer has just said, Islam does not permit the murder of innocent citizens. So the murderers and their paymasters can fuck right off.

Who are they? Let me remind you from the top of this piece:

Craig, NATO, Muslim Brotherhood, most UK Muslim imams and pseudo-imam intellectuals ALL

i.e the trash who want US hegemony over Islam. Na be/ not going to happen. Theycan fuck off.

If I may so so, habba reminds me of the judge who gagged evidence for 70 years in an inquiry (Kelly) set up to to reveal the truth!!!!!! As a normal thing to do?!

And with a complete and unwavering belief in his “justice”. There are at least three US Supreme Court justices that display similar “logic”. In one word – Satan !

The World is full of hidden horrors; just learning about The Duplessis Orphans of Canada, how is such inhumanity possible ? 🙁

  • BrianFujisan

From Macky’s 10;06 am post Re Frankie Boyle..i quite liked this Part –

” So what is Britain’s reality tunnel? I think they key to understanding Britain and America are that they view themselves as exceptional. As being an exception even to things like international law, and the rules of war. American exceptionalism comes from the fact that it developed it’s imperial tendencies in the era of modern warfare, or possibly because it only exists because it perpetrated genocide against its own indigenous inhabitants. It could roughly be expressed as we alone have a moral right to use force. Britain’s exceptionalism is similar, but slightly more colonial in tone. I think it can be summarised as: we are civilised and other people are not. As a kid, I used to love a big book in our local library called Civilisation. I think I thought, aged about 12 or 13, that if I read it all I would be civilised. It was the book of the landmark BBC series from the late 1960s by Kenneth Clarke. It’s most famous now, I suppose, for having focussed entirely on Western Civilisation, as if nothing else mattered. In the book, Clarke came across as an intelligent man with an empathy for other cultures. At one point he even muses that the British museum, for us a sign of civilisation, would have looked as threatening to other cultures as the periscope of a nuclear submarine. Nonetheless, what is truly remarkable about that book is this: Civilisation is never defined. It doesn’t have to be. It is self evident that what is civilised is us, and the Western Tradition. The book starts with a comparison of a bust of Apollo and an African mask. He writes of the bust
“Whatever its merits as a work of art, I don’t think there’s any doubt that it embodies a higher state of civilisation than the mask. They both represent spirits, messengers from another world – that is to say, from a world of our own imagining. To the Negro imagination it is a world of fear and darkness, ready to inflict horrible punishment for the smallest infringement of a taboo. To the Hellenistic imagination, it is a world of light and confidence, in which Gods are like ourselves, only more beautiful, and descend to earth to teach men reason and the laws of harmony.”
And that is the reality tunnel of this culture. We are civilised and others are not. Indeed, we believe our imaginations are more civilised than those of others, and that we create art and culture which is a reflection of ourselves and our desire to promote reason and harmony. If you can’t find those ideas in our culture today, just stop me afterwards and I’ll be happy to point them out to you in today’s paper, where they will form the basis of most of the reporting of our latest foreign military adventures.”

Suhayl: “Truthfully, though, I can’t be bothered. If it’s not obvious now, it never will be.

That’s certainly ringing true as far as I’m concerned. Meanwhile, over on another thread, RoS is busy trying to portray all Muslims as terrorists and murderers, even as he castigates you here for some apparent slur against Muslims. Very odd, not to say confused, behaviour.

Then again, there are a good number of prolific posters here who are entirely out of their depth on a number of levels. RoS is a good example, again, on a number of levels.

It was in Ireland I first heard about Chomsky. I know why now.

Anyway, I just came on this by chance, after listening to lots of high brow analysis, It’s clear that western powers know this, and are doing everything to make it worse…

Basic truths are more practical, and this tells us all we need to know. More than it directly explains. “Why They Hate the West”

Russia was of course sold short by British intelligence who advised the number of foreign rebel fighters in Syria was around 30,000. Sadly I realise this number is much more when you include FVEY mercenaries, the Wahhabists or Waleed bin Talal al-Saud terrorists or al-Qaeda if you like, Tzahal (צה״ל forces and Shabak, CIA thugs, British SAS/SBS, and an assortment of paid fighters from Turkey, Qatar, Kuwait, Britain and America.

Various exceptional, battle hardened, well-informed and well paid militants use, thanks to Saudi, advanced missile launchers that can destroy tanks and heavy artillery while some have drones.

This terrorist coalition are pitched against the Syrian army, Hezbollah, Quds, Spetsnaz and air-assault troops in a ratio of 2:1.

To correct this asymmetry and deny the West another Afghan war ‘bleedout’ Russia will contemplate the use of advanced tactical weapons, despite the implication. OK that’s suffering yet I can still hear the screams of children burning alive in Iraq.

    Macky

Your Off-Guardian piece says exactly what I am saying at 21.31 but more politely. This is very encouraging because although Mary’s log of Israeli atrocities helped to focus the mind against USUKIS propaganda, there is now a ground support of understanding created by the web about the dark arts of USUKIS politics.

You have to admire Mark Golding’s persistence in steering that groundswell of savviness towards that groundswell of ignorance, Shi’a Islam. Often using the stick of nuclear war which would very soon destroy the planet. USUKIS want world hegemony – not going to happen. Saudi wants a Sunni government in Syria – never going to happen so long as it is taking a piggy-back on USUKIS hegemony.

Why is it never going to happen? Because the former Communist countries of Russia and China are allies. Russia has the natural resources and China has the technology. Does anyone believe that Russia built a communications jamming system or pin-point cruise missiles by itself? USUKIS have not got the slightest chance against Russia-China because they are way behind in 2 vital areas 1/ diplomacy and 2/ science.

What the Saudis ought to do if , and it is not a possible if, they had a tiny bit of sense is realise that they are in an alliance with a Hollywood myth, created by the arch-liars the Zionists , a political entity in which 90% of the population ( that’s us ) feel dispossessed. 90% of the population of both Russia and China feel loyalty to and trust their leadership. Even if USUKIS ( INSULT for short ) succeed in imposing a Muslim Brotherhood dictatorship in Syria, next day the Syrians, backed by Russia and China will kick him/her out.

It’s such a shame to feel the velvety collars of Hollande Cameron, Obama, and the velvety parts of Mrs Merkel best not discussed on a family blog like this, but felt they are. Quite simply, there is no putting the cat back in the bag that USUKIS are and support international terror and terrorists. It was a bad idea from the start, suggested to USUK by ISrael. Cameron, sitting on the City of London’s economic pulse has opened a door to China, because his army of stockbrokers can no longer talk down the Chinese strengths. Chinese banks are run by Israel so USUK collapsing into nuclear war confrontation is no loss.

There’s no business like show business. The venue for the show has changed from the West.
