BBC Bias 763

I am involved quite extensively in the making of what I believe to be a valuable independent documentary. It is based on George Ponsonby’s excellent book London Calling, and has the working title How the BBC Stole the Referendum. We have already done a few hours filming of my contribution.

The film is being directed by Alan Knight. It still requires some finance, having raised over £12,000 so far from crowd sourcing. If any readers of this blog can make a contribution, it would be gratefully received. I vouch for the good faith and commitment of the production team, though I am not in any sense connected with the management or finances.

I should like to ask for a couple of other bits of help as well. Can anybody find the BBC footage of the appalling Gavin Esler puff piece for the “Vote No Borders” PR campaign. The BBC broadcast it repeatedly on every TV news programme on 2 May 2014, but seem to have managed to erase all trace of it from the internet. It might also be useful if somebody could take a little video footage of the company nameplate of Acanchi Ltd at 24 Chiswell Street, London, EC2Y 4YX. Footage of the nameplate, the street sign and a little of the surroundings, just to visually establish it is in London. The technical quality of that little bit of video is not terrifically important.

UPDATE

See Gill R’s comment below. The company may be at Unit 311 Business Design Centre, 52 Upper Street, London N1 0QH. If anyone can easily get to either address and see what they can film it would still be helpful.

    Craig, thanks for that insight. Gives one perspective.

    Please also have a read on some of the comments on moderation in the tail of the previous thread. And thanks again to your Moderators.

    Stay well!!

    My last comment was meant as a piece of mischievous humour, rather than a serious observation. Hmmm should there be three i’s in mischievious? Looks odd either way.

    I allow all kinds of people to post all kinds of things all the time, because I believe it is right to do so.

    Only moderation prevents people from saying things, often perfectly reasonable things, at the same time that others are not prevented from saying outrageous things.

    The internet is full of chat rooms. This website has threads and invites comment on them. If people wish to wander completely off topic and get into irrelevant chat, they run the risk of being deleted.

    Mary had 2 or 3 comments deleted in among several score of deleted comments by other people, because the moderator felt the thread had degenerated into pointless wittering and exchange of insult. I hope Mary will return. But nobody is aa prisoner here.

    People are sometimes economical with the truth and the internet is no different. Thus the reasons given for leaving are not necessarily the real ones.

  • lysias

    And the “winners” are happy when they drive commenters away.

    The glee is palpable.

    What does it take to be a bad winner?

    But insults on the other side remained. I know I was prevented by moderation from properly answering pretty extreme attacks on the Irish, which were not deleted, or even moderated.

    Huffington Post: Servicemen Contradict Military’s Account Of Attack On MSF Hospital In Afghanistan: Two servicemen have told Congress that American special forces called in an air strike on a hospital in Afghanistan because they believed the Taliban were using it as a command center.

    This is the MSF hospital in Kunduz. I think the two servicemen, whom Rep. Duncan Hunter will not name because they fear retaliation, are very probably the crew of the AC-130, who are now the objects of an investigation.

    Lysias, we are not approaching dystopia, we are living in it right now.

    It won’t be long before free speech will be almost entirely barred on the Internet, except of course for the ‘right kind’ of free speech.

    I know I’m guilty of giving too many music links, but we really do live in insane times…

    And with regard to blogs like Craig’s, on a more macro level even Rusbridger publicly admitted that the Guardian would be shut down if ‘it went too far’; and we all know what the Guardian has now become.

    If all the commenters are going on strike out of solidarity with Mary, I guess I ought to join them.

    Craig writes his piece,

    The messiah complex sufferer, grasping at straws verily believing Craig is his chum (part of the self aggrandisement complex) is elated that Craig is sending him secret messages proceeds to pour forth his glee;

    “I regard it as a kind of social service, allowing people to stay in the warm who might otherwise feel compelled to hang around supermarket car parks shouting at people.”

    ___________________

    That’s what I thought.

    Well said, Craig.

    The Eminences and Old Trolls have been told, loud and clear.

    Now convinced his chum Craig is backing him up and spitting venom (its a zionist thing) into the eyes of his perceived enemies (everyone and everything on the planet other it and the tribe and its’ grandma’s cat) the delusional messiah then splutters;

    I wonder if that will keep the Obsessives and ConspiraLoons quiet for just a little while?

    This is the ultimate state of nirvana to keep those critical of the barbarous regime in zionistan and other human rights advocates whom reject zionist supremacists as a matter of principle to be suppressed and silenced!!!! Oh the joys

    Then pinching itself (flab does not need much pinching) to see if it is reality or is this another one of those daymares and psychotic episodes it often experiences, wallowing in an all sensory swamp of self gratification, observes;

    I wonder if that will keep the Obsessives and ConspiraLoons quiet for just a little while?

    Oh the joys of it all, the enemies are vanquished it is as easy as shutting the eyes and saying begone enemies, oh boy oh boy!

    The celebration carries on into wishful thinking;

    Or better – a stunned silence?

    Then one of the fellow travelers chiming in, joins the congratulatory circle jerk, to which the delusional messiah and best friend of Craig, interjects;

    The men in the flapping white coats will know whom to collect, don’t worry.

    This is the kind of projection that gives the game away, but hey it is a circle jerk and all is joyous .

    This is all happening in a spate of forty five minutes, the gloriously decadent minutes that the enemies are suppressed, best friend has sent a secret signal, and the fellow travelers are in awe of the clever messiah and its voodoo making Craig do things!!!!!!

    Then there comes the bucket of cold water;

    My last comment was meant as a piece of mischievous humour, rather than a serious observation.

    Well the voodoo needs more work on it, and looks like the bias of the mods have outed too, so there is a need for some rearguard action and the foul entity that Satan himself personally farted the evil spirit into its putrid soul aka anon1 or whatever it is called join in to cover up as well the messiah talking about people leaving because of other reasons and not because of undue pressures from moderation or the constant hounding and stalking of the delusional psychotic tossers bent on fighting the good war for zionstan!

    A loan taken has to be paid back. It could be more highly taxed. Unless a Company was making losses. A salary doesn’t have to be paid back.

    e.g. £20,000, paid back loan – taxed at 20% = £4,000

    £20,000 salary – personal allowance £7000 = £13,000 taxed at 20% = £2,600 – less NI.

    delete the “s” in “https” this site is adding its own “s” where it should not it;s the messiah and his powers of prayer that make the electrons do the extra s and scare the bejesus out of the unsuspecting punters

    Good luck with the documentary Craig.

    The other side of BBC (and all MSM) is what they do not report. This is a report that not just the BBC ignored but everybody. The nasty Erdogan family of ISIS supporters not only brought down a Russian fighter plane but failed initially to condemn the downing of a Russian passenger plane in a similar kind of scenario as MH17. Russia has openly invited other countries to be there at the opening of the black box for the fighter jet Turkey downed, including UK experts.

    But the worse event that has gone almost unreported (apart from on Russia Today and PressTV) is the rape and murder of British and American reporters one of which, Serena Shim, poor scared little lass on her last report. A former BBC producer, Jacky Sutton, went out to report on this alleged rape and murder. She was herself allegedly raped and murdered. The Turkish authorities said she committed suicide by hanging herself at an airport because she missed her plane.

    I have never liked the Erdogan family. I leave you to make your own minds up.
