Why are the Metropolitan Police not feeling Tory Lord Sebastian Coe’s collar and trawling his hard drives? I blogged recently about his involvement in awarding the World Athletics Championships without a vote to the hometown of his long term paymasters and sponsors, Nike. Plus the £12 million his promotions company made from VIP hospitality packages for the Olympics, the VIP tickets for which were allocated by the Organising Committee of which he was the £600,000 pa chairman.
Now we have this, from the person Coe works closest with in the IAAF and who he has now promoted to head the President’s office since Coe assumed that title:
« Dear Papa,
Following our discussion earlier I have already had some thoughts and believe that we need to do the following, in the strict confidence and control within a small circle of senior IAAF staff only. This must be very secret.
(…)4. Finally, as soon as possible, and ‘unofficially’ PR campaign to ensure that we avoid international media scandals related to the Moscow Championships especially in the British press, where the worst of the articles is coming from. This will require specialist PR skills (working only with me directly) from London, but I believe that if we consider using CSM we can also benefit from Seb’s political influence in the UK. It is in his personal interest to ensure that the Moscow World Champs is a success and that people do not think that the media of his own country are trying to destroy it. We can work extremely hard in stopping any planed ‘attack’ on Russia from the British press in the coming weeks.
5. Finally, I need to be able to sit down with the Anti-doping department and understand exactly what Russian ‘skeleton’ we have still in the cupboard regarding doping. I think that the time to have unveiled the various athletes was a long time ago and that now we need to be smart. These athletes, of course, should NOT be part of any Russian team for these World Championships and Valentin should be pressurised to make sure this is the case. If the guilty ones are not competing then we might as well wait until the event is over to announce them. Or we announce one or two BUT AT THE SAME TIME as athletes from other countries. Also we can prepare a special dossier on IAAF testing which will show that one of the reasons why these Russian athletes come up positive is that they get tested a lot !!! In the same way, we can make the point that the WADA laboratory is the responsibility of WADA not IAAF and that if WADA decides there really is a problem, we have a plan B to do the tests in Lausanne instead (Gabriel confirmed this to me yesterday).
Papa, as soon as I have an idea of the price of this unofficial PR campaign I will let you know, but I will do everything in my power to protect the IAAF and the President.
All the best Nick »
So what does the Establishment now wish us to believe?
a) As long-term Vice President of the IAAF, Coe had no idea the organisation was massively corrupt and the President was taking huge bribes to cover-up doping scandals.
b) Coe had no idea his close associate and now head of his office Nick Davies was writing to the son of the President proposing that Coe’s company and Coe’s “political influence” be used to keep doping scandals out of the British media.
c) Coe’s meeting, while Vice President of the IAAF, with executives of his sponsor Nike, to discuss awarding the World Athletics Championships to Eugene, had no bearing at all on the decision of the President of IAAF to award the games to Eugene without a vote.
All that is even less convincing than Sepp Blatter’s declarations of innocence. Yet there is an utter difference in the British media’s treatment of Blatter and of “Lord” Coe.
I wonder why?
Syrian rebel group Failaq al-Sham (fail sham sounds a bit doubtful) has said it’s pulling out of the Army of Conquest, ( they do like their melodrama) which includes the al-Qaeda linked Nursa Front, and deploying elsewhere.
The reason given is that Government forces along with Russian and Iranian forces are making significant headway in Aleppo province. The rebels fear that their main supply route will fall soon to Assad and his forces.
If that report is correct, it would appear that the self appointed world police Nato, along with its collaborators, Israel and Saudi Arabia are at least in some regions on the back foot.
A defeat or truce called by Nato and her regional minions would to the worlds eyes, show that the self appointed ones are defiable, when faced by a resolute coalition force.
Is this the first time Nato has bitten of more than it can chew?

In my opinion Gyiane Saudi Arabia has an agenda within an agenda, yes they help Nato and the West depose regimes in the region. But Saudi Arabia also fund multiple groups and factions in the region, to oppose the West and Israel and of course Iran.
The goal of the double cross, so too speak, is to promote the spread of Wahhabism throughout the region.
The Saudi regime would especially like to see Shiite Iran destroyed, both have proxy armies fighting each other in Syria and Yemen.
Giyane (to JSD): “You disrupted the blog over the Xmas new year break…”
Really? I took a look back over this thread, and saw a number of posts by JSD about Masons, all of which advised one to skip the post if they were not interested in Masonry. That’s your idea of “disrupting the blog” – what, away from its usual undiluted flow of cutting debate, on-topic facts and examples of original and clear thinking, presumably?
It appears you are being exceedingly unfair here. I suggest you apologise at once, if you have any integrity or decency.
JSD is worth reading and takes care with his posts. They are measured postings unlike some others.
“They (the JBS) may have been wrong in thinking fluoridation of water was the result of a Communist plot”
To be fair, they call anything that undermines individual choice and self-reliance, communist.
They don’t mean communist as in Soviet or Chinese Communism, or the Communist Party for example.
To them, Obama and Welfare and so on is communist and much of contemporary America is communist run.
And in terms of a laissez faire approach they do have a point.
Glenn
“You may be pleased to know you’re in good company, though – the John Birch Society of the 1950s had just the same obsession about fluoride, although they were sure it was a communist plot.”

Just like General Jack D Ripper’s obsession with “bodily fluids” in “Dr Strangelove”.
“Why don’t you look at studies from – say – the NHS, or other scientifically centered bodies?”
They were wrong on their anti-saturated fat nonsense, advocating low-fat which resulted in high sugar diets for most muppets.
That approach will however have assisted food manufacturers.
Your probem is that you’re too reliant on authority, rather than thinking for yourself.

Your post at 19h10 is an accurate and therefore devastating demolition of the Pugnacious One’s modus operandi (the latter’s “several higher degrees” notwithstanding).
BTW, how was your Continental holiday – did it go well?
Herbie: “Your probem is that you’re too reliant on authority, rather than thinking for yourself.”
This sort of error is very common with people who don’t understand science. It’s not a matter of “authority”, where one senior figure says this or that therefore it must be true. It’s about the methodology, how open it is, the relevance and the body of scientific weight on any given issue.
Unfortunately, people like yourself appear to think that rejecting authority means rejecting science. And that you can pick and choose between various “experts” – usually self-identified – to get the result you like.
Do you think the NHS is simply corrupt, and that anything they come up with is about satisfying Big Business (another bogie-man to be treated with the utmost suspicion, of course) and thus to be rejected out of hand?
An approach of “They got something wrong so they can’t be trusted” betrays yet further ignorance about the nature of science, no disrespect. Scientists get things wrong all the time, and this is why theories have to be rigorously tested to destruction. It’s a process of refinement in many ways, which is why health continues to improve, planes make fewer unscheduled landings, and so on.

Not so, Giyane. JSD was answering a series of questions put by your fellow-Eminence “Herbie” and then responding to an emeritus Eminence, Mr Goss. I see no repetition beyond the unavoidable.

The tea plant (Camellia sinensis L.) is a known accumulator of fluorine compounds, released upon forming infusions such as the common beverage.
The fluorine compounds decompose into products including fluoride ions. Fluoride is the most bioavailable form of fluorine, and as such, tea is potentially a vehicle for fluoride dosing.
Approximately, fifty percent of absorbed fluoride is excreted renally with a twenty four hour period. The remainder can be retained in the oral cavity, and lower digestive tract.
Fasting dramatically increases the rate of fluoride absorption to near hundred percent, from a sixty to eighty percent when taken with food.
Per a 2013 study, it was found that consumption of one litre of tea a day, can potentially supply the daily recommended intake of 4 mg per day.
Some lower quality brands can supply up to a 120 percent of this amount. Fasting can increase this to 150 percent.
The study indicates that tea drinking communities are at an increased risk of dental and skeletal fluorosis, in the case where water fluoridation is in effect.

I’ll be cutting down on the tea from now on.

What methodology and science was employed that resulted in the advice to avoid saturated fat, and instead opt for low-fat products?
Habbabkuk: “BTW, how was your Continental holiday – did it go well?”
Not bad at all thanks! Over all too soon, as these things usually are (unless they’re really terrible, of course). But as the old saying goes, even a bad day at the beach will beat a good day at the office. This was in the mountains, as it happens, with a worrying lack of snow and cold temperatures, but it was very welcome all the same.
Hope your break went well, and a happy new year to all!
Crusades? Knights Templar? Freemasons? Why not try and prove these historical facts are wrong?

Looks staged to me.
Nina Teicholz describes the “science” responsible for the low-fat-diet recommendations in her book The Big Fat Surprise: Why Butter, Meat and Cheese Belong in a Healthy Diet. That “science” turns out to have been the result of corrupt dealings between the makers of certain vegetable oil products, federal government agencies, and some celebrity doctors.

Look, they’ve done their little turns at school in Birmingham. Now they have global fame.
It took many years of CIA training in Iraqi prisons to get Baghdadi up to celebrity speed .
The furore surrounding the new “Jihadi John” is beginning to border on the preposterous.
According to press reports this evil death cult leader is a ex-bouncy castle salesman, now I know your dying to laugh, and at the same time cry at the thought of ordinary Joe Bloggs buying into that shit, alas many will swallow it hook, line and sinker.

The year-round snow cap on the coastal mountains of British Columbia disapeared in 2015, for the first time in recorded history. None of this has been reported by the media whores.
The loss of the snow cap has zilch to do with global warming, and everything to do with the Fukushima disaster, which never gets reported by the media whores.
There are three full size commercial reactors at Fukushima that are in complete and ongoing meltdown, and at least one of them was running MOX fuel, and at least two spent fuel pools went sky high. As a result of this the north Pacific is now on its last legs. Everything has been wiped out.
‘Demented’ is not the word for the human race.

I would say better than ninety-five per cent of my postings have been responses to specific, direct questions put to me by other contributors. You can tell that, because I note the contributor, the date and time, and sometimes the question, before I begin my reply. Haven’t you noticed?
If you don’t like the fact that I respond to other contributors, I suggest you go and hector them instead of me.
You are the one who is continually disrupting this blog, with your headbanging abuse and your continual unsolicited autobiography. You just had one of your posts edited because of what you said to another contributor. Doesn’t that tell you something?
Your real problem is that I am pointing out your lies and distortions, and you do not like it. I suggest your best approach would be to stop lying and distorting, in that case. Do you understand?
John
No, JSD I haven’t read them, but noting that you’re still wittering on, I’m not going to read anything you write ever again, prat.
John, any comment on the canary in the coal mine, aka Fukushima..?
I thought not.
They won’t talk about it. They won’t talk about anything real. It’s just all bullshit and bollocks.
It’s not the real world.
