Hillary Clinton IS The Guardian 982

Hillary Clinton is American, owned by financial interests to whom she is completely in thrall, a rabid neo-conservative warmonger, completely uncritical of Israel and focused for any claim to be progressive entirely on identity politics. Which is also a precise description of today’s Guardian newspaper. The once august and intellectual title is now a shrill cheerleader for far right Blairites and wealthy American feminists.

The Guardian is as unabashed in its support for Clinton as in its support for the Blairites. The stream of “feminist” articles about why it would advance the cause of women to have a deeply corrupt right winger in the White House is steadily growing into a torrent. It is a perfect example of what I wrote of a month ago, the cause of feminism being hijacked to neo-conservative ends.

Bernie Sanders is not perfect – nobody is. But he understands that obscene and still burgeoning wealth inequality is the greatest problem of western society, and that the state framework supporting crazed banking structures is the root cause of this. The support for him is a sign of the inevitable popular reaction to the extreme inequality of society. Sanders is channelling that reaction effectively.

The establishment therefore circles its wagons around Hillary Clinton. The hope is that women can be persuaded it is an act of misogyny simply to stand in her way. The other great establishment hope is that the Democrat party machinery is so strong in black communities, that black Americans can be in effect ordered to vote for a woman who epitomises the system which disadvantages them, rather than an apostle of genuine change in the economic order. I retain hope the establishment may find that black Americans are cleverer than that.

The machinery used to manipulate identity politics – racial and gender – is all that Clinton has. If Clinton beats Sanders, it will be the perfect demonstration of the fact that identity politics has become the enemy of progress in society.

In the field of identity, Bernie Sanders would be the first non-Christian President of the United States. Would that not be wonderful in a country whose politicians feel the need to genuflect to swarms of religious evolution-denying nutters who believe foreign wars are good because they presage the Rapture?

And would it not be great if the first President since Carter not in thrall to Israel were Jewish?

    @Lysias,

To my knowledge Finkelstein still teaches in Turkey at the mentioned university, however there numerous styles of email used by the lecturers, a few of which I’ve tried with zero success. And yes, whilst Norman has a website, its not usually the way I initiate contact, i.e., leaving a message in the hope of a response.

Perhaps i should ask Chomsky as I believe they correspond extensively – now why did I not think of that earlier I now ask myself?

    @Lysia,

if iI was resident in the UK I’d try and go to Bristol, regrettably I’m stuck in Hong Kong until i can save enough cash to legally return to the UK with my wife, and in the present economic climate its difficult to save £65,000 to satisfy our wonderful Tory Government. Suffice to say i hate most Tories and have little good to say about the New Labour types.

Good Piece on the Con for Black votes here –

Why Hillary Clinton Doesn’t Deserve the Black Vote

From the crime bill to welfare reform, policies Bill Clinton enacted—and Hillary Clinton supported—decimated black America.

” illary Clinton loves black people. And black people love Hillary—or so it seems. Black politicians have lined up in droves to endorse her, eager to prove their loyalty to the Clintons in the hopes that their faithfulness will be remembered and rewarded. Black pastors are opening their church doors, and the Clintons are making themselves comfortably at home once again, engaging effortlessly in all the usual rituals associated with “courting the black vote,” a pursuit that typically begins and ends with Democratic politicians making black people feel liked and taken seriously. Doing something concrete to improve the conditions under which most black people live is generally not required.

Hillary is looking to gain momentum on the campaign trail as the primaries move out of Iowa and New Hampshire and into states like South Carolina, where large pockets of black voters can be found. According to some polls, she leads Bernie Sanders by as much as 60 percent among African Americans. It seems that we—black people—are her winning card, one that Hillary is eager to play.

And it seems we’re eager to get played. Again…

@Chris Rogers, meeting NF was my political highlight for me last year; if you can make either of his UK dates in March, you should, immensely informative & highly entertaining, and the supreme bonus that he is very approachable & friendly; prior to this, I had previously contacted him via his Website, and got an almost instant reply.

“Until the time you post under your real name and identify yourself as I have no fear in doing, one will not take you seriously…”
    ____________________-

Does that comment also apply to the other 98% of commenters who do not give theor real name?

If it does, you will only take Mr Goss, John Spencer Davis and RobG seriously.

A slightly dangerous approach in my opinion.

BTW, do not attempt to make an intellectual virtue about using your real name (if it is), you fool no one.

I’m sorry you think I’m making great demands on you – I did so because I thought I was dealing with a “trained mind” but apologies if the questions were too hard.

If it’s any consolation, even commenters with “several higher degrees” find me a little difficult (and some of them have also said”fuck off” to me! 🙂 ).

Anyway, that’s all the attention you’re going to get from me this evening, you Welsh windbag. Off to watch TV! 🙂

I am going to try, something I have never tried before. I don’t know if it will work. The idea is to try and express myself and my philosophy of life using as few words as possible. You are very welcome to respond…I can take it…You Will Hate The First.

I must first state, that I completely love the spoken and written word, and yesterday ordered a book written in 1941 in England which I could have paid considerably more by buying it in England rather than an online book-shop (gives the impression that it is very small – say like a bookshop in Hay-on-Wye (we were there last year) but is based in the USA (inc delivery)…

I will start with this because it is The First Record I Ever Bought – Oldham Market..I remember it well..even saw Harold Wilson there..on a wooden Fruit Box with a Loud Hailer…that was a few years later than this..

My movie watching activities are somewhat limited, I watch very little. But in the past few years I’ve got caught up a bit with two series of films – The Purge & Hunger Games. Both films proscribe revolution over corrupt leadership. Hunger games even has a narcissistic fake blonde as the progressive leader who preferred war over peace.

  • Chris Rogers

    @Habbabkuk,

Do you have anything pertinent to say about the Post CM has made in relation to The Guardian or HRC, if not, why don’t you just give it a rest old bean as you really are a most annoying twat, one who imposes strict rules on others but fails to obey them himself. In other words you are both a hypocrite and Troll and known as such by many on these boards who no doubt treat you with the contempt you deserve.

Now, go build your ‘dossier’ on me as I have nothing to fear from the likes of yourself.

Now i’m off to play Left4Dead to aid my own sorrow’s and chill out.

It’s absolutely disgusting the way that the media whores are trying to cover up VIP child sex abuse…

    http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/feb/10/met-police-may-end-policy-of-believing-sexual-abuse-victims-says-hogan-howe

All the police inquiries into these vermin are still active, including the case against Brittan…

You might have noticed that in the totally wacko police state that is the UK no one at high level ever gets prosecuted for anything, no matter how heinous the crimes. We just get a few tv celebs thrown on the bonfire to appease the masses.

I’ve been noting the feminist blackmail surrounding Clinton, as if to vote for a boy is to somehow betray the sisterhood. I agree we should have more female candidates, it’s just that none of them should be Clinton. I do hope female voters see through this gender blackmail, and I’m sure many of them will. Alas, probably not enough to stop her ascendancy, I just can’t see Sanders or Trump winning, though I’m no expert in the bizarre clown dance of the US Electoral cycle. It’s just theatre anyway. The important stuff – TPP – is all discussed in the background, and agreement is come to, without the pesky need for public interference; at which point, the various paid stooges can use their position to make it law.

Clinton vs Trump. That’s a toughie. I’d normally be in the ABC camp (anybody But Clinton), but Trump pushes the definition of ‘Anybody’. I’m also in the ABT camp, so I guess I hope that whoever wins, their party doesn’t have a majority in either house. A perfect time to vote third party really.

  • Njegos

    Craig is right.

Identity politics is pure tribal nonsense. The idea that a woman should vote for a woman because they are both women is primitive.

One noteworthy proponent of neo-con feminism is the lovely unindicted war criminal Madeleine Albright who declared that “there is a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women”. The irony wasn’t lost on those of us who have followed Madeleine’s blood-soaked career. If Madeleine is correct, then there is probably also a special place in hell for women who praise genocidal sanctions:

We must be careful, however, of projecting our hopes onto Bernie. I would vote for him over Hillary any day of the week but his foreign policy record is very interventionist. He refrains from giving it to Hillary over the mess she has created in Libya not to mention the subsequent jihadist cancer that has spread all over the upper half of Africa. Maybe that is because Bernie sided with the Libyan intervention. Here is something for all of us to consider before we fall head over heels with cuddly grandpa Bernie:

    http://www.ancreport.com/report/bernie-sanders-a-warmonger-and-economically-illiterate-2/

    Extract:

He wanted ground troops in Yugoslavia. He voted yes on Bombing Kosovo.
(One of his staff members resigned over it)

He voted to finance the Iraq War multiple times. Supports the war in Afghanistan and voted for it.

Supported the coup in Ukraine and voted to give 1 billion dollars towards it.

Supports aiding Al Qaeda in Syria and calls them “moderate rebels”

Voted to invade Libya. Clinton said “With all due respect, senator, you voted for regime change with respect to Libya. You joined the Senate in voting to get rid of Gaddafi, and you asked that there be a Security Council validation of that with a resolution.” About the only truthful thing that’s ever come out of her mouth. Bernie was a cosponsor of the war propaganda resolution.

Voted for sanctions on Iran and Libya

    Pro Drone Strike

    He’s an imperialist

He supported US intervention in Somalia, Haiti, Bosnia, Liberia, Zaire (Congo), Albania, Sudan, Afghanistan and Yugoslavia

He Supports Saudi Arabia bombing Yemen and he is in total denial that Saudi Arabia is backing ISIS not fighting them.

His only vote against a war was Iraq however many Democrats did that and as a vote against Bush not the War. Bernie voted to fund the war and had no problem with it once Obama was in charge of it. He also voted for the sanctions that killed hundreds of thousands of children.

He also was against impeaching George Bush and called it impractical.

He gutted the audit the fed bill (the night before it was being voted on)

    He voted for several NDAAs

    Calls Assad a dictator.

Totally supports Israel. He told people in a town hall meeting to shut up about it.

I have friends in the US who think Clinton walks on water, precisely because of her alleged commitment to gender advancement.

I had one lady ask me if I disliked Clinton because she was a woman. I was pretty irritated by that, but it’s the sort of thing you can expect if you are a man critical of a high-profile woman, I suppose.

    Kind regards,

    John

For the Clinton campaign it was a night that made clear that it is time to increase pressure on the Vermont socialist — including a harsher message to Jewish American voters.

“Hillary Clinton has been a very strong friend of Israel and that is something that should not be lost on the American Jewish community,” said Paul Hodes, a former New Hampshire congressman who came to rally for Clinton at her post-primary event. Hodes, who is Jewish and from New Hampshire, told the Forward: “Senator Sanders hasn’t showed himself to be the kind of friend of Israel that Secretary Clinton is.”

Or indeed of Saudi Arabia, Liechtenstein or Paraguay. Isn’t she supposed to be winning the US election?

    Excellent point, Mr Murray.
However, I had to laugh at the obvious diversion tactics from someone who took pains to point out that you had a line break before your last point.
Gadzooks! The whole post is, therefore, one that would fall foul of Denis McShane’s definition of ‘whatever’.

“Even if Mrs Clinton is a “Zionist hag” – whatever that means – is that really the most important thing about her? So important that you start off your contribution with that?”

    Chris Rogers:

Now, are other political or philosophical movements worse than Zionism?

Well I can only answer yes to that, regrettable there are other movements that can be deemed worse, militant Islam being one of these.”

Darlings, Israel is an apartheid projection of what Anglo-Saxons would like the Jewish faith to be, (so that people will reject it) and Islamic State is a further projection of what the Anglo-Saxons would like Islam to be so that people can reject that.

Thinking by false representation of the two main monotheistic faiths they can continue to hypocrise that the Queen of England is Jesu pbuh viceroy on earth and her criminal estsblishment are the fount of all wisdom and propriety.

I very much doubt that many Jews or Muslims in the world bear any resemblance to the Anglo-Saxon demonology of either. But Bibi and Baghdadi make a lot of money doing what they do.

Craig’s ‘in thrall’ is a recognition by a Celtish Italian that without zionism and Militant Islam to compare themselves to the Brits are pretty much poo.

    @Giyane,

I concur with your sentiment and history teaches us that a vein of both anti-Jewishness and anti-muslim runs through Christianity, or Europeans if you’d much prefer me to refer to it as. However, whist Christian Europe has much to atone for and much to hold its head in shame about, we still have a moral duty to try and stop history repeating itself. Given the shit heaped on followers of Islam and adherents of the Jewish faith I’d certainly expect blowback, which makes the behaviour of the Zionists all the more regrettable given most were/are of European stock. I’d like to think we could all learn from each other and get along in a brotherly way, which presently seems beyond many. At the end of the day there is ‘right’ and there is ‘wrong’ and I’d prefer to be on the side that prefers justice and fraternity to war, inequality and destruction – we were taught to respect all religions and all ethnic groups at Sunday School, Biblical studies of course, which is why I’m quite proud of my non-conformist Wesleyan Methodist background, this being most typical in South Wales.
