I really must object to Craig describing Israel in these terms.
I’d call it a squalid little gangster state that uses terrorism, bribery, extortion and blackmail to achieve its repugnant objectives, as it has done ever since (and indeed leading up to) its inception.
If BDS were not regarded by Israel as a genuine threat, they would ignore it, so that it would get no publicity. Instead, it and its supporters keep complaining about it.

Edwards is currently slightly ahead in the polls. She’s one politician who has had the courage to defy AIPAC. It will be interesting to see if she can win her primary.

Since Israel has never had, and does not have, the *intention* to destroy the Palestinian people in part or in whole, it cannot be accused of committing or attempting to commit genocide.
This is, of course, what distinguishes events in the area of land formerly known as Palestine from what happened in, say, Ottoman Turkey (the Armenian genocide), the Holocaust and in certain areas of Africa (Ruanda, Sudan…).

Over the last five or six decades there have been innumerably UN General Assembly Resolutions on Israel, Palestine, etc.
It would be fair to say that few of them are kind to Israel.

There is not one such UNGA Resolution.

And Article 6 of the Rome Statute reproduces word for word the definition of genocide which appears in the 1951 UN Genocide Convention.
And there are still no United Nations General Assembly Resolutions accusing or condemning Israel for genocide against anyone.
Note that Article 7 of the Rome Statute includes in its list of crimes against humanity: the crime of apartheid.
