Today is the grand opening of the Salisbury Festival of Russophobia, otherwise known as the Public Inquiry into the death of Dawn Sturgess, an unfortunate victim of imperialist spy games.
Do not be fooled. This is not in any sense a genuine public inquiry, supposed to get at the truth. This is an inquiry like the Hutton Inquiry into the death of Dr David Kelly, designed entirely to conceal the truth and further the official narrative.
In the Kelly case, the official narrative was that one of the world’s leading experts in chemical weapons, with access to instant-action neurotoxins, decided to kill himself after leaking that Iraq had no WMD. He chose to do so by cutting his wrist veins with a rusty penknife and waiting for a slow and painful death in the woods.
The ambulance crew who picked Kelly up testified that there was very little blood and they did not think that he could have bled out, but the Inquiry considered there was little blood because it must have “soaked into the soil”. Nobody thought to dig up the soil and check.
In the Dawn Sturgess case, we are supposed to believe that two top Russian agents sent to kill Sergei Skripal chose a “novichok” nerve agent as the manner of death. In broad daylight they painted this on the front door of his house, in full view of the neighbours and passers-by on the packed housing estate and without any protective equipment, despite the fact that a tiny droplet on your skin could kill you.
The agents then went for a walk in Salisbury town centre, looked in the window of an antique shop, and put the perfume bottle containing the novichok back in its packet including somehow resealing the cellophane wrapping. They then placed the “perfume” in a charity bin.
They then made their getaway on the notoriously unreliable Sunday train service.
The Skripals came back home, and both touched the door handle. Despite the novichok being instant-acting and extremely deadly, they then went out for lunch and ate a full meal and drank wine and had a high old time for three hours, being joined and photographed by their MI6 handler Pablo Miller (whose existence is D-noticed).
After their meal, the novichok finally took effect and they both collapsed on a park bench. Despite the fact that they were different ages, sexes and weights and presumably contacted differing amounts of novichok, they both collapsed at just the same moment, about three hours after contact, so neither of them was able to call for help.
But luckily the very first person to come across them on the park bench was, completely by coincidence, the Chief Nurse of the British Army, who just happened to be passing. They went to hospital and were saved and did not die after all.
A policeman sent to their house touched the door handle and also got novichok poisoning, and he later got ill and was hospitalised, but did not die either. He had returned to his own home and later it was found that he had got novichok all over the light switches and door handles there, but by great fortune his family, who continued to live in this house, did not get ill from it.
The official explanation of this is that it was “a miracle”.
Meanwhile, the “perfume” sat in the charity bin. It sat there for months and months, despite the fact that it was emptied regularly and despite the fact that Charlie Rowley was one of a number of people who also regularly stole from that bin.
Somehow both the bin’s official and unofficial emptiers continually missed the perfume bottle, again and again and again. Finally, several months later, the perfume bottle’s mysterious invisibility cloak failed and Charlie Rowley saw it.
He gave it to his girlfriend Dawn Sturgess, who put some perfume on and died. Charlie Rowley got ill but did not die. He was later able to tell the press inconvenient facts, like the cellophane on the perfume was fully sealed and that he took stuff from that bin fairly often.
When Rowley and Sturgess were taken to hospital, the police descended and sealed off the house and made a massive terrorism theatre of searching it, that went on for days. They were searching for a small container of liquid.
Finally, after days and days of 24/7 painstaking combing through the house by England’s finest, somebody spotted a perfume bottle sitting in plain sight on the kitchen counter, and the novichok was found!
Presumably the perfume’s invisibility cloak had spluttered into life again for a few days before fizzling out.
That really is the official story. Yes, it really is. You are not supposed to notice the massive glaring holes in it. If you want to check up on all the sources and links, here is one I made earlier.
I had intended to attend the inquiry in person. Even the most incompetent lawyer would be able to demolish this ridiculous official narrative with great ease. But then I realised that the entire Inquiry is structured to prevent that happening.
Nobody is going to ask difficult questions. The one person who could is the lawyer representing the family of Dawn Sturgess, but her family have been propagandised into total adherence to the official line, presumably by a combination of mainstream media and official hand-holding.
Sturgess’s family have understandably become focused on hatred for the Russians, whom they have been told killed their daughter. The line their KC is instructed to pursue is to query why the state was not more effective in protecting their daughter from those evil Russians.
The other “core participants” – the council, police and health authorities – will be back-covering on similar lines, and we can be pretty sure the Inquiry will conclude with plaudits all round about how well everybody pulled against the evil Ruski menace, and a few “lessons learned” saws.
The role of the “public” is to witness the show inquiry. Nobody else gets to ask a question. “Intelligence” material provided by the security services will not be made public. The Inquiry has already been told this morning by the British Government representative that this is essential to assure future informers of confidentiality.
The scene has been set by an utterly ludicrous attempt to stir up Russophobia by MI5. In the last week the Head of MI5 has solemnly assured us that Russia is attempting to launch chaos on the streets of the UK, and we are told by security service sources that the evil Ruskis plan to disrupt UK ambulances.
I am pretty sure Putin also has an evil plan to eat your grandmother.
Never Trust A Man Who Dyes His Hair
Dawn Sturgess died six miles from the official UK govt facility that manufactures novichok “for test purposes” – and incidentally where David Kelly once worked. Her death reinforced the official Salisbury narrative at a time when public scepticism was growing.
I am pretty sure poor Dawn, who had fallen on hard times and was just the kind of person the Establishment views as dispensable, was a victim of state violence.
I am quite certain that if so, it was not the Russians.

The MSM can not see the ethnic cleansing and war crimes in front of their eyes and we expect questioning of ridiculous narrative.
In the last 6 years many Institutions and NGOs reduced(lost) their credibility. To many to mention.
Asange, Syria, Ukraine, Palestine are examples of total hypocrisy and inconsistency.
I was just looking through the transcript to the preliminary hearings on the 25th March, 2022, and on page 28 Andrew O’Connor says the following:
First of all, a brief summary. It, sir, has been a theme of the submissions during the course of the inquest and now the inquiry that the special sensitivities of this case have required and will continue to require an unusually complicated and therefore time-consuming disclosure process, both at stage 1 and stage 2. It is apparent from the written submissions served by HMG for this hearing that those sensitivities have been made more pressing and more complex by the outbreak of war in Ukraine.
He then continues:
I am sure this is a matter that Ms McGahey will address on you further, but in summary the HMG submissions assert that the need to protect the United Kingdom from the threat posed by Russia and other hostile agents has never been more acute and that HMG’s priority is protecting the United Kingdom from imminent threats. It is further stated that the overlap between those working across the Government to assist the inquiry and those who are working on the real-time threat posed by the Russian state has impacted, and we infer will continue to impact, on the timetable for disclosure.
Hmm, anyone have any idea what this threat, or imminent threats – posed by Russia and other hostile agents – amounted to (rhetorical question)?

I would imagine that a government that has been responsible for egging on and supporting Ukraine to kill Russian citizens has every reason to be concerned about a Russian backlash. It amazes me that no one seems to realise we are asking for it and our defences are weak/ non-existent against the worse case threats. Not just us, US, Germany and Poland all running their luck too.
The appalling hubris it takes for our political class to egg on fascist Ukraine and support genocide in Palestine at the same time genuinely makes my head spin. Surely it can’t just be for money? Some insane ideology perhaps?
What form retribution will take, who knows but being a keen reader of the former Saker blog it will not surprise me, if and when it happens.
Oops – who’d have thought it.
“The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), had found traces in the Skripals’ bloodsample, of the nerve agent BZ, which was never developed by Soviet scientists but was in the arsenals of the United States and Britain.”
And.
“Also challenging the official British line is a statement by a medical specialist involved in the Salisbury District Hospital’s care for the Skripals revealing that they had not exhibited any symptoms of nerve agent poisoning.
Stephen Davies, a consultant on emergency medicine for the Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the Salisbury District Hospital, wrote a letter published in The Times on March 16 that presented a problem for the official British government position. Davies wrote,“[M]ay I clarify that no patients have experienced symptoms of nerve-agent poisoning in Salisbury, and there have only ever been three patients with significant poisoning.” Obviously, Sergei and Yulia Skripal were “patients” in the hospital and were thus included in that statement.
The Times made the unusual decision to cover the Davies letter in a news story, but tellingly failed to quote the crucial statement in the letter that “no patients have experienced symptoms of nerve-agent poisoning in Salisbury” or to report on the significance of the statement.”
We covered this before back on Page 1 and at the time. Precursors to BZ were added to the samples by the OCPW to check the accuracy and the diligence of the INDEPENDENT LABS who confirmed the presence of Novichok in the samples.
Dr Stephen Davis’s comment is an extract from a letter sent to The Times and consequently behind their paywall. Suffice to say it’s taken out of context and misquoted.
Not credible to add additional compounds to your preciously conserved samples.
Those added compounds could break down. Could react with the other chemicals forming unexpected reaction products.
If they sent blind chemical controls that would only be valid as seperate aliquots.
Intp1
No expert but I think it was Lavrov who highlighted this method of supposedly making sure that the OPCW chosen labs were doing a good ‘independent’ job. Suggesting (if true of course?) that the OPCW knew which labs had the precursors and which didn’t.
That’s not really a Blind test if you already know what was sent where and what was in the samples as a whole. All they needed to know independent or otherwise – is what did each lab find?
You either trust them or you don’t.
As far as I know, the Russians were entitled to be included in testing the samples themselves as part of legal agreements.
Corby from memory talked about this at QT in Parliament and was damned as unpatriotic, just for for the mere suggestion.
Adding “Markers” is sometimes necessary when developing a new test technique. Adding a foreign substance into a field sample is preposterous for any number of reasons.
It would be a standard lab procedure to test the presence of an analyte on a HPLC trace for example, to spike your test sample with an authentic sample of the material in question to look for a change in the magnitude of any analyte in the HPLC trace. This would confirm or otherwise the presence or absence of the chemical in question.
Dr Gerard Hobley
Maybe I’m being naive, but why don’t these expert laboratories just see what the samples are made of and report back? Why the complication?
Surely the main question is: what’s in the sample?
They are the experts after all.
It’s a bit like hiding The Sunday Times magazine in The Sunday Telegraph to see if Telegraph readers notice the difference.
During the course of my silly little former life, Pears, I must have run thousands of samples through mass spectrometers of various kinds. Not once did I feel the need to add any BZ precursors to them. I would imagine that all the BZ that’s ever existed has been made from reacting quinuclidinyl alcohol with benzilic acid. These are not common laboratory chemicals. They have no therapeutic uses, and there’s no reason why they would be available in a UK district hospital. As Intp1 states, it’s also entirely possible that they could react with organophosphines, such as the Novichok compounds, under the various ionisation conditions used in mass spectrometry, which would needlessly complicate the analyses.
Dr Stephen Davies’s letter to the Thunderer may be behind Davros’s paywall but, fortunately for us, Timmy keeps the receipts:
https://x.com/timtron2020/status/1846223580452819241
As you can see, RoS appears to have quoted him word for word.
Any idea what happened to the consultant Stephen Davies the remainder of his career?
The truth is most likely something was added to mask the BZ obviously.
And to deal with the resident wormtongues – here is a post by the legendary Clive Poynting – he made his FIRST ever comment at this website back then.
“Clive P

I have been reading the blogs for some time but this is my first post. Like Craig I was a senior civil servant but in the ministry of defence not the fco. I had plenty of dealings with all three intelligence agencies. It seems to me that the reason none of the MSM are doing any investigating/reporting of the Salisbury affair, apart from official handouts, is that the government have slapped a D-Notice over the whole incident and it is not possible to report that a notice has been issued. Here is another theory as to what happened. The Russians pardoned Skripal and allowed him to leave (spy agencies have an understanding that agents will always be swapped after an interval – it’s the only protection they have and helps recruitment). In the UK Skripal would have been thoroughly debriefed by MI6 and MI5 (his ex-handler lives near Salisbury). If at some point they discovered that Skripal was giving them false information, perhaps he was told to do so by the FSB as a condition of his release, lives may have been endangered/lost. If he also was also involved in the ‘golden showers’ dossier then elements in the US would have a reason to act as well. The whole incident was an inside job not to kill him, hence the use of BZ, but to give him a warning and a punishment. The whole thing is being treated as though the authorities know exactly what went on but have to cover it up. “
Whatever the reason for the poisoning and the now years of hiding the victims and the highly covered up inquest and this inquiry – there is no doubting the fact of the BZ.

Reality like perfume bottle poisonings, exploding pagers and walkie-talkies is leaving espionage fiction in the ashtray of history. Why not forget about fictional agents like Bond and Bourne dashing to save the world from disaster and forget about CIA and MI6 officers reclining on their couches dreaming up espionage scenarios to thrill you. Check out what a real MI6 and CIA secret agent does nowadays. Why not browse through TheBurlingtonFiles website and read about Bill Fairclough’s escapades when he was an active MI6 and CIA agent? The website is rather like an espionage museum without an admission fee … and no adverts. You will soon be immersed in a whole new world which you won’t want to exit.
After that experience you may not know who to trust so best read Beyond Enkription, the first novel in The Burlington Files series. It’s a noir fact based spy thriller that may shock you. What is interesting is that this book is apparently mandatory reading in some countries’ intelligence agencies’ induction programs. Why? Maybe because the book is not only realistic but has been heralded by those who should know as “being up there with My Silent War by Kim Philby and No Other Choice by George Blake”. It is an enthralling read as long as you don’t expect fictional agents like Ian Fleming’s incredible 007 to save the world or John le Carré’s couch potato yet illustrious Smiley to send you to sleep with his delicate diction, sophisticated syntax and placid plots!

How the then Prime Minister Theresa May, and her Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson – ordered the creation of a dossier that was used to convince allies to expel Russian diplomats – with the Skripal Affair in mind – May ordered Johnson to pressurise the head of the Porton Down facility, to say that the poison used on the Skripals was of a Russian kind – even though there was no evidence to suggest this.
May and Johnson needed some dramatic claims – to buttress their argument to allies and EU member states that the Salisbury poisoning must have been a Russian government assassination attempt – so a planned letter from British national security adviser Mark Sedwill – to NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg – outlined that the Russians had poisoned the Skripals.

Well
All the western security services agreed that Sadam Hussain had WMD. I still remember the selling pitch.
Same with novichok and other issues.
With us or against us.
9/11 we all knew within hours it was Al Quida.
Everything is clear within 24h 😀
Couple of dozen security servicemen signed the letter saying Hunter Biden’s laptop is a fake Russian disinformation story.
It was some neocon PR head shite who made the statements on behalf of their Scientists but what was said was scientifically meaningless but great for the headlines.
” of a type that the Russians made”
1) What is a type of chemical? It was organic ( = complex carbon based) ; could mean anything and nothing.
2) The Russians make many chemicals, same as us, e.g Fentanyl.
So that this could mean it was an organic molecule that is known to be manufactured in Russia. Narrows it down to several hundred thousand compounds. Well done!
I find it rather strange that according to Paul Mills, (Deputy Chief Contsable of Wiltshire) even though the ambulance had taken Dawn Sturgess to hospital in the morning of July 8th 2018, Wiltshire police remained uninformed of the incident until 18:58 that evening?
And this notification seemed for information only.
The account also mentions a third person who was treated with respiratory problems at the scene but I can’t remember reading about them or what was the “novichok effect” on them, evidently not too serious or we would have heard about it more at the time.
For a thorough debunking of the official story of what happened to the Skripals, I recommend Rob Slane’s accounts. Slane’s home in Salisbury is within a few hundred metres of Sergei Skripal’s house and he has taken a keen interest in the events of March 2018. He has discontinued his own blog (theblogmire.com), although it may still be preserved on the Wayback machine. However Rob’s 2020 summary originally posted on that blog is still available on Ron Paul’s site at
https://ronpaulinstitute.org/the-salisbury-poisonings-two-years-on-a-riddle-wrapped-in-a-cover-up-inside-a-hoax/
Intriguing as this all is – and deliberately complicated by The Spooks etc. – the visual idea for the unknowing (and in many cases, not interested except for a few days) is basically: Aren’t Russia and Putin terrible and heinous?
45k minimum dead in Gaza due to our help is a minor matter when compared to the ‘attack’ on the good people of ‘Salisbury’ which makes Putin Super-Evil.
What was the state’s response to the threat of the people of Salisbury? Some Police Tape and boards and warning people not to pick up any litter from the ground.
As far as urgent responses to a poison that would kill you in minutes (maybe seconds?) goes, then they may as well not have bothered with anything and let it take its course (like Johnson and Covid).
Four months after finding an opened bottle of perfume with enough ‘Novichok to wipe out a town’, the response was not much different.
It would surprise me if the forensic people didn’t just throw it into the glove compartment of the car and check it in the morning after breakfast.
The ones in the know, know, and they know what poisoned the Skripals and Dawn and Charlie but they ‘ain’t sayin. Why?
Because the great poison that could have wiped out Salisbury was not the most dangerous poison in the world.
No idea what it was but as far as I remember the boss of Porton Down would not say that the poison was Novichok.
Here’s the bad news for the defenders of the UK – I read at the time that the recipe to make Novichok was publicly available online (not The Dark Web – online) by its inventor.
Now if the Spooks want something to ponder: combine Novichok with exploding smartphones and you have one Badaass terrorist combination.
Maybe they don’t teach them prescience at Spy School. Probably just Latin and Greek.
“Because the great poison that could have wiped out Salisbury was not the most dangerous poison in the world.”
I think it was Marmite.
Novichok family’s ‘comfort’ that no-one else died
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cm28gvvxvn6o
Amazing, eh?
We can appreciate the family’s feelings but, as reported in MSM, Dawn Sturgess is now emerging as a martyr to validate military action. We know remarkably little about her save her later years battling alcohol problems. Her mother was described as a retired civil servant, and she was the oldest child of the family. Her school years, friends and working life seem unusually unexamined. Dawn Sturgess, the focal point of this alleged enquiry, remains as much a mystery to us as she was back in 2018. I presume some some sort of D notice has been issued to MSM.
Ditto for her surviving partner Charlie Rowley, the man who defied Putin’s chemists of deaths; his brother made some interesting remarks which contradicted the mainstream narrative.
I have just read the Day 2 transcript, which apart from a statement by Dawn Sturgess’s mother was taken up with how many police persons are required to change a lightbulb of this wattage. What was clear was how quickly MI5 was able to hijack the initial investigation, working behind the lead police investigator, who I remember often being quoted in the media, Commander Neal Basu, and who was actually new to his role having just taken over in March 2018 the job from Mark Rowley, now of course head of the Met.
“Commander Murphy, can you confirm that there was indeed a covert investigation from your knowledge?
A. I can, yes.
Q. At paragraph 14 MD39 gives slightly more information about what the police did and what MI5 did in this particular case:
“… the police led on ensuring public safety, the prevention of further attacks, evidence gathering to support executive action and ensuring public confidence and reassurance, including delivering public communications in relation to the incident.”
Do you agree with that?
A. Yes, that’s correct.
Q. MI5 led on the:
“… gathering and exploitation, assessment and dissemination of intelligence to support the post-incident investigation.”
Is that correct?”
A Yes
So right from the beginning there was never an independent police investigation, it was MI5 pulling the strings all along.
Well, to be fair to MI5, it was their operation.
Fair comment. The rather weak and obvious point I was trying to draw out was that the speed at which MI5 and other national security agencies took over with their “covert” operations meant that they could insert whatever “evidence” they liked into the proceedings using “bona fide” police spokespersons like Basu to give the impression that it was all the result of Vera-like sleuth work.
Are the readers of this website aware that temporary powers of entry and detention under the coronavirus act have already been made permanent in Scotland in 2022 without any publicity?
On its face, the Bill would permit forced entry into individuals’ homes and then vaccination by force if deemed necessary for public health.
The legislation would remove civil rights with respect to bodily autonomy, property rights, parental rights, possession rights including animals, the freedom to associate and the right to work as well as introducing a surveillance regime.
It is extremely concerning that mainstream media has been largely silent on these proposals. It is also of concern that this may be intended to be – or may by default become – a trial run of how such legislation is received by the population in a small part of the UK before being rolled out to the rest of the country.
Similar proposals are now going through the Northern Ireland assembly and no doubt these powers will be “harmonised” in England.
The Department of Health in Northern Ireland has published a document setting out proposals for a new Health Bill.

Holyrood votes to pass legislation on emergency coronavirus powers. June 2022
MSPs have voted to pass legislation allowing some emergency coronavirus powers to become permanent, despite opposition parties labelling it a “power-grab”.

A totalitarian system is being implemented in the guise of a fabricated “health emergency” throughout all “western” democracies.
https://stephenmcmurray.substack.com/p/my-letter-to-mlas-regarding-the-proposed
« I am writing to you to convey my grave concerns over the proposed new health bill that is currently out for consultation. It is draconian in the extreme. Under this proposed bill, a member of the Public Health Agency could enter one’s premises by force, physically restrain or assault the owner, remove whatever items from their premises they choose, forcibly vaccinate the owner and quarantine them for 28 days.
This period could, after going via a magistrate, be extended for further periods of 28 days indefinitely.
Not only that but it doesn’t even have to be a Public Health Agency official. They can designate anyone they choose to enter one’s premises, so could, in theory, hire security guards or bouncers to intimidate or harass the owner.
Moreover, because under this proposal animals are deemed to be ‘things’, one’s pets can be ‘destroyed or disposed of.’ Apart from the fact that this directly contradicts the new Animal Abduction act, which recognises animals as sentient creatures, it is abhorrent. To list animals in the same category as human tissue or human remains is disgusting.
The most disturbing part of this bill is the proposal for mandatory vaccination. This a breach of the most fundamental right of all, the right to bodily autonomy. This right is inalienable. It is not granted by government and therefore cannot be removed by anyone, no matter who they are. Apart from being totally unethical it is unlawful. Moreover, the concept of consent was considered fundamental when creating the Nuremburg code and any proposal to ignore that would be a breach of that code.
See United States of America v. Karl Brandt, et al.
According to the human rights lawyer, Anne de Buisseret, mandatory vaccination is ‘wholly illegal, unlawful, immoral and unethical.’ »
One would have thought that the Assembly would have learned from devastating health consequences caused by the disastrous lockdown policy inflicted on Northern Ireland citizens but apparently not. Instead, the Health department are proposing the most sinister, Orwellian bill imaginable.
WHO – for more info on the intended stitch up of rights, the books by John Coleman, doctor and journalist, are uncomfortably prescient and so far proven, to date. Conspiracies abound – unfortunately
The WHO International Health Regulations are irrelevant – these powers will soon exist in domestic legislation, and in fact already exist in many countries without the population being aware yet of the removal of their legal rights under the pretext of a claimed and easily faked “health emergency”.
Thank you for sharing that Kate, that’s absolutely horrendous news. There’s still a few million unjabbed in the UK, and I know GP Surgeries are still trying to push them, despite “Covid” disappearing from the News stream the same day as Ukraine hit the headlines. It makes me wonder if they’ll begin targeting the mRNA reticents first. Btw: there does appear to be a trend of rolling stuff out North of the Border first, like the Smoking ban in pubs etc.
Thanks for your support and interest. My earlier reply to you was removed by the mods. Given the threat to our legal and human rights of what we are currently living through I cannot agree with this action.

I believe everyone in the country should be encouraged to read it; in order for them to realise how some of their tax money is being wasted on cover-ups and lies, for the purposes of playing silly espionage games under the cloak of ‘national security’.
I had read conflicting reports around who had been discovered collapsed on benches and where/when, but I was resigned to assuming they were just hoax stories planted in the media in order to confuse the reader. However, the blog does take the second couple scenario seriously, and begins to give me reasons to believe that the others were the couple captured on CCTV in the shopping centre, and therefore the ones with the large bright red bag.
My suspicions that the red bag couple are not The Skripals, but a couple performing a parallel ‘incident’, begin to look more likely. The whole point of having two similar events staged at the same time is to make witness accounts appear conflicting (because they are describing two very similar incidents). This seems to be the favourite SS way of conveniently dismissing public witnesses, because their recollections always seem to be at odds with each other.
Tax payers’ money, like trickle down economics, is a meme. Tax is cancelled money. Money gets created either directly from the BoE to fund government priorities like weapons or healthcare, or from allowing banks to create loans. For governments to choose to borrow instead of fund is just giving debt money and interest to bankers unnecessarily. Surplus money can be taxed, or poor people can be taxed when resources are scarce. Resources need investment to develop national trade balances. Resources include skills, infrastructure, raw materials, and improvements in industry. Fund them and give mixed private public shares to grow the economy. Monitoring the banks is good policy and taxing unearned income with income tax would be fair though unpopular with those who have accumulated savings and investments in this way.

I used to read Rob’s Blogs and I valued the comments more because there were people who actually lived in Salisbury and there words were much more informative than some breathless media hacks emotional prose for the punters. I read and followed the bench witness stories and the most interesting one was from a young woman who worked in a Sports/Fitness shop close to the bench.
She described the young woman on the bench as having blonde hair and the medics attending to her on the floor I think. Maybe the infamous red bag was mentioned, ( linked to the Mall Pictures – red bag blonde hair etc.), but that may be legend in my head – who knows?
Yulia entered the UK with Copper coloured hair (it was on CCTV at the airport) and unless she bleached it then the young female witness may have seen a different person being treated. If you look at the AP video statement from Yulia she still has Copper coloured hair and her roots are mousey.
So – as Rob Slane says there may have been two ‘incidents’ – one we know of and another earlier or later.
Which came first I don’t know.
The Police and the Hospital put out a media alert to say that two people had arrived due to a possible Opioid overdose on the Sunday night. I think it was changed Monday morning announcing something else but didn’t say whether the two people were an extra or different two people from the night before.
Very strange stuff.
By the way I don’t think the Red bag Blonde and man were Charlie and Dawn. The woman is too tall and I think Charlie is relatively bald.
Along with Craig Murray, TheBlogmire & Dances with Bears (https://johnhelmer.net/category/skripal/) being all over this from the start.
1. The OPCW/Douma
2. The OPCW/Russia
3. Ukraine/Biolabs
4. Salisbury attack/Chemical War Game
5. The alleged Interpol Red Notice
6. Skripals UK Intelligence Handler Pablo Miller, who’s also the handler for Christopher Steele (and the Trump Pee tapes).
Are all relevant backdrops.
It’s nice to see JHelmer pick up on the fact, straight out of the start of the Sturgess Inquiry, the Police evidence, or lack of, including the raid on the Sturgess home, the day before the poisoning.
Anyways, looking forward to the sleights of hand, exclusion of evidence, national security being involved, all bringing about a sudden run on Bananas, Kangaroos and White Wash.
What we have is Gigglevision/Chucklebox mixed with a smattering or Novichuckle.
The lies of Boris Johnson and Richard Dearlove amplified by the BBC.
Today no comments in The Independent on line.
I was looking forward to have a Laugh and taking a piss.
Boyfriend testimony was read.
While trying to make it work he splashed the perfume on his hand and had to wash it.
Pigeon English
The question for Charlie after he got it all over his hands is whether it smelt like perfume or something else?
If it was something else, why give it to Dawn – just throw it in the bin and poison the whole of Salisbury with it. Accidentally and unknowingly of course.
Just out of interest – what was the name of the Perfume on the package? Anyone know?
Don’t say Fabergé. That would be Green and Gold packaging I think. Top Drawer perfume.
Shrink wrap, not cellophane, is a strange method of wrapping for sure.
There is a photo of it – on the Inquiry website Nina Ricci –
https://dsiweb-prod.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/uploads/INQ005126_12610.pdf
and another one of the cellophane packaging. Day one hearing said that evidence will be given that this was fake which begs questions in itself.
I love the extension part.
Where are you supposed to apply the most lethal nerve agent that you need that flimsy tube/extension? Keyhole but they went for doorknob 😀. Amateurs.
If the term ‘conspiracy theory’ had any meaning then the officiaI story wouId be the uItimate one, given its sheer bonkers incoherence and determination to pin it on the most unIikeIy actors
Russia suspected of planting device on plane that caused UK warehouse fire
[https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2024/oct/16/russia-suspected-of-planting-device-on-plane-that-caused-uk-warehouse-fire]
“British investigators suspect that the incendiary device is part of a wider campaign that Russian spies have been carrying out across Europe this year, which has been condemned as rash and careless by spy chiefs in the UK and elsewhere.”
Oh Dear
“…..has been condemned as rash and careless by spy chiefs in the UK and elsewhere.”
Exploding Pagers and mobiles are OK but incendiary devices are inhumane and not “ingenious”.
That and bombing tents and hospitals are OK of course. Because that’s an operation or strike.
Err no ….it’s IDF policy .
The ramp up begins.
Skripal
Bombs
Election
Russia bad, very bad. Must sanction more.
How much longer are we supposed to be doing stupid ?
the stupid is just going to get more desperate, think Baghdad Bob as the US assault was overwhelming Iraq during the second Iraq War. except this time the desperation is over the loss of an empire, not a country.
This confirms once again we can’t trust our security services, the media and our politicians, so who can we trust? Most of our politicians are complicit in war crimes, who are set on creating more division, and by extension making our lives less safe.
Whenever the resultant consequences of a dire official nonsensical narrative are so self-defeating and future problematical, what is one to correctly conclude and expect of national and international supposedly intelligent secret and secure intelligence services …… other than its leaders and authorships are unsuited to the task and pose a titanic systemic existential risk to the maintenance of honest peace and novel order for such cannot fail to be noticed and shared as a vulnerability which is certain to be relentlessly exploited to render it future impossible and impotent for hostile enemy state wielding. Simple common sense would have one expecting that to be so in these new times and spaces of so much more information than was ever before never even imagined would be possible and universally, readily available …..
As long as a majority of us have been brought up to know the difference between right and wrong, to know that fairness matters, and to at least want to be able to distinguish truth from falsehood, then all the lies, theft, violence and meanness is to be condemned. Since Clegg and Cameron usurped our democracy we have been deceived down a slippery slope of loss of trust in institutions, and it is difficult to perceive who actually has the nation’s best interests at heart.
We can only wonder if the grown ups are hiding scary stuff from us to ensure the world keeps turning. The heartbreaking suffering in Ukraine and Gaza needs to be addressed with compromise and a concept of a better future. And war crimes must be acknowledged and held to account for a future reckoning in due course

“ Since Clegg and Cameron usurped our democracy we have been deceived..”
Are you ignoring the WMD hoax and the sexed up dossier that Yo!Blair used to take us to the WoT a decade earlier? Or perhaps you weren’t born or too young at the time to remember ? Maybe it was the ‘Education!Education,Education’ mantra of the Blairites which led to the mass privatisation of schools and universities with students laden with insane debts and terrible education. Especially of recent history.
The Rose Garden Bros just carried on with the passing of the baton as is Starmztrooper and co now.
I find it interesting that the police interview with Sergei Skripal has this comment on page 1….
“Ok. So you said to us yesterday that umm that you woke up on the Sunday morning but you felt” but then jumps to page 9 (at least on my downloaded copy).
Where are pages 2 to 8?
I take this to mean that the police know exactly what the Skripals did throughout that day, but are not eager to share this information with the public. I don’t know if the inquiry chair will hear the full account in secret session, but it just adds to the impression that the whole public version of this inquiry is just a farce.
Fat Jon
from the off they were not willing to share the output of at least 60 CCTV Cameras around the Salisbury shops and the environs.
Similarly, they never asked for a Crimewatch appeal for evidence neither.
It makes you wonder whether The Spooks outnumbered the poor sods who were victims of some kind of poisoning on that boring Sunday in Salisbury.
If the Spooks did – what exactly were they doing between the hours of 9pm and later afternoon?
How was its possible for Russian agents to get a monster-size Russian flag hanging from scaffolding on Salisbury Cathedral? Was local help suspected or did the Russians climb up with the flag themselves? This was just a few months after the poisoning and was such a statement of power and dominance by Russia.
Or a drunken prank by somebody with a perverse sense of humour. Either way climbing scaffolding in the dark isn’t too clever and I doubt Dawn Sturgess’s parents and daughter were too impressed.
This was a great Novichok summary, prior to Dawn Sturgess’ demise being tacked onto it for greater “credibility”.
https://syrianobservatoryforhumanwrongs.wordpress.com/2018/07/09/an-idiots-guide-to-the-skripal-affair/
Brilliant.
I remember thinking at the time that the whole thing looked like a UK secret service operation against Sergei Skripal that was intended to be low key and fifth page news, which was hijacked by Boris Johnson who thought it was a wonderful opportunity to have a go at the Russians. Everything in the official narrative that is highly unlikely is a result of the scramble to produce a story that fitted the new facts as stated by Boris, then a story that fitted that story and so on ad absurdum. As the idiocies of one story became manifest, so new idiocies were introduced to “explain” them.
There are photographs widely available online which debunk the whole official story of the Salisbury Novichok hoax. What they show is that in the days that followed, police officers were posted outside the Skripal’s home , wearing no protective clothing whatsoever despite being only feet away from a door handle which we are told was contaminated with one of the most lethal nerve agents known to man. These nerve agents are designed to bring instant death to hundreds if not thousands of troops who are subjected to them on the battlefield. Our intrepid police officers though seemed to have had an immunity to it. Also, do you really think that had such a lethal nerve agent been released on the streets of the U.K. , that the Prime Minister would have been allowed to visit the scene shortly after?
I watched the testimonies of second ambulance crew taking over from first callout to Sturgess and the next ambulance crew about 6 hours later to Rowley and the local police who barged in on the ‘treatment’ of Rowley.
Some weird shit going down at the ‘Inquiry’ – Mansfield as the ‘cross examiner’ is awesomely perplexing he seems to be going somewhere!
The weirdness is increased by the jumps in testimonies and redactions and I guess because I was watching it on YouTube feed, the strangely timed adverts cutting in between questions and answers – this is not like any Inquiry I’ve ever witnessed.
Not like Levenson or even the Iraq War one.
This is a clown court. The ‘prosecutors’ can’t even keep track of what has been said earlier. Who are these soon to be celeb lawyers?
The day’s testimony, the only one I watched, allows an alternative hypothesis.
There is an interesting comment on the latest (28th Oct) transcript, from Ross Cassidy, who gave Sergei Skripal a lift to Heathrow to pick up Yulia and bring her to Salisbury.
Both Ross and his wife noticed two black BMW cars following them down the M3. Sometimes in front, sometimes behind and being overtaken while in lane 1. They identified them as police vehicles because they could see the LED signs in the back and police officers in the seats.
And yet Commander Murphy then of SO15 has said that when they searched for the Skripals on the Wiltshire police system they found nothing.
Someone in a UK police force was taking a great interest in Yulia Skripal at the time, and not informing Wiltshire.
Of course, the police came up with an excuse for that, which was that the cars were going to a custody suite in Basingstoke and were completely unconnected with the Skripals….. which doesnt quite explain why both cars were coincidentally tailing the Skripal vehicle (which was exceeding the speed limit) for what Cassidy describes as a “really long distance”, and later “for 10 minutes”.
Dear Craig.
I love reading your views and comments on the UK’s foreign policy; after all, you were once a member of that elite, but, on your interpretation or assessment of the Skirpal’s poisoning, I am in total disagreement. Your commentaries; in my opinion, are complete and total delusions.
The official story about what happened to the Skripals really is as unbelievable as what Craig says. He gets some details wrong in his article by adding things taken from mainstream media reports, but overall the official narrative is just as far-fetched, if not more so.
Brendan, what is very disturbing, is that today, I was looking at (or rather trying) things which I had bookmarked at the time of the Skripal case, particularly a site called – the blogmire. When I clicked on them, they had not just disappeared, but tried to lead me to some very naughty sites.
Someone on another forum was describing the “new” evidence which had come to light, about the young boys feeding the ducks in a park with Yuliya and Sergei Skripal.
Everything which Craig has said is true.
Rob, who ran the Blogmire, shut it down some time ago because he was writing so little for it in the past couple of years. He said at the time that he had archived it all but I can’t find any trace of it.
Weeeeellll..today photo of Skripal giving a piece of bread at the duckpond to the boy…who “became” ill….but it was not novichok.
It is interesting that in the submission by the Army Chief Nurse, there is now no mention of DS Bailey who, in initial reports, was the first person at the scene after the Skripals collapsed on the bench.
And while Hampshire police spent 15 miles tailing Yulia on her journey down the M3 from Heathrow, while they were merely transporting naughty people to the Basingstoke custody suite (isn’t that normally done in a secure van?), it seems that two Russian agents, carrying a bottle of the most toxic liquid known to man, can arrive at Heathrow with our security services completely oblivious to what was going on.
Fat Jon. Just a quick comment.
Only the Guardian are looking at this. The Anti-Putin Oligarch newspaper, The Independent, is not reporting on it.
Basically there was a Consultant at Salisbury Hospital who received Mr Skripal and Yulia and he had ‘expertise’ in Novichok and its effects. He seems a pretty straight guy. But once the Spooks landed, he was side-lined and a Spook Consultant (no doubt from Porton Down) took up the narrative. The spook Guide is believed over the first Consultant.
The first Consultant thought Yulia may be brain-dead, but was amazed when she climbed out of bed after 4 days of a managed coma.
No expert but that is not Novichok poisoning – that affects the nervous system and is supposed to shut down nearly every reflex response your body has to protect you.
p.s. Apparently Yulia used to visit her father a lot (not unsurprisingly) so it’s a bit puzzling why the Spooks would be more interested about this particular visit more than in the past. Perhaps the invites had gone out to the Russian visitors from someone or somewhere, to arrive on the day and feed the ducks – and be seen?
