Fatuous False Flags 91

Rather than abandoning the plainly nuts Fairford narrative, Burnham and his government are doubling down on the claim it is an Iranian terror plot.

It remains quite possible the men were indeed fuel thieves, simply stealing fuel from farms. They appear to have been equipped for fuel theft and all they were carrying was petrol. It is worth a footnote that there is a very real history of US military personnel, and indeed British personnel, selling military fuel from bases. Stolen red diesel meant for HMS Bulwark fuelled fairground rides throughout England, which I think is rather lovely. But if the Fairford Five were fuel thieves, farms are more probable as the target.

We should pause here to acknowledge that USAF Fairford is falsely designated RAF Fairford, itself a propaganda lie, just like “RAF Lakenheath” or “RAF Mildenhall”. The UK is full of US military bases, on which US law applies. (My birth certificate gives my father’s occupation as “Clerk USAF”. He was employed at Mildenhall at the time).

It is a classic example of state propaganda that the petrol discovered in the Fairford vans was described by counter terror police as a potential accelerant for a bomb.

Well yes, petrol is that. It has however, rather more obvious uses too. The same technique was used at the height of the War on Terror propaganda in the Great Easter Bomb Plot, that never was. Police rounded up and arrested many young Muslims across the Manchester region, which was front-page news. They were all later released without charge.

But at the time of arrest the police announced they had found a potential bomb-making ingredient in a kitchen.

Well, they had. It was a bag of sugar. Sugar is indeed a potential bomb-making ingredient. Yet most of us have a bag in the kitchen. At least it did not take the police ten days to find the bag of sugar in the kitchen, unlike when they searched Charlie Rowley’s flat for a vial of novichok, and it took them ten days to “find” a bottle of perfume sitting on the kitchen counter.

For Fairford, on balance I think a false flag gone wrong is a little more likely than just fuel thieves. We know the men had no bombs and no guns, which makes the terrorist narrative rather hard for the government to sustain. But if they were patsies set up in a false flag, there would be plenty of things already on the base that go bang which could have been used to create the “terrorist incident” around them.

Two key points make me think this was a false flag. Firstly the lady farmer who called 999 was adamant there were more men that the five arrested and bailed. The others would have been the spycops – agents provocateurs – who would have been quietly spirited away from the scene. That also fits with the released information that it was one of the men who phoned in a warning about the “attack”.

It looks to me like a false flag spectacular had been planned, with US involvement as claimed by Trump and possibly Israeli knowledge as claimed by Netanyahu. This operation by the security services was viewed as over the pay grade of local police (who might be inconveniently honest) who were not in the picture. It all went horribly wrong for the government when an alert local farmer called the local police, and when a participant also called it in. That could have been one of the recruited “terrorists” who got cold feet, or one of the agents panicked they had lost contact with their line of command.

The use of recruited patsies to carry out false flags is now better understood. I have been writing about it since before the Newburgh bomb plot which was a particularly egregious example. In the United States there has been more awareness of and reaction to agent provocateur incited plots than in the UK.

For anyone sceptical, here is a summary of Newburgh:

In May 2009 the FBI arrested four poor men from Newburgh, New York, and announced it had foiled a plot to bomb two synagogues in the Bronx and shoot down military planes at Stewart Air National Guard base. The plot, the targets, the inert bombs and the disabled Stinger missile were all supplied by the Bureau. The recruiter was Shahed Hussain, a Pakistani fraudster who had become an informant to avoid deportation after a driving-licence scam. Paid nearly $100,000, he spent more than a year fishing at a Newburgh mosque, posing as a wealthy Jaish-e-Mohammed agent, before latching onto James Cromitie, a Walmart stocker and petty drug dealer.

Hussain offered heavenly reward and as much as $250,000. Cromitie brought in three others: Onta Williams, David Williams and Laguerre Payen. Hussain drove them across a state line to inspect the fake weapons, which federalised the charges and carried a 25-year minimum. They were convicted in 2010.

The sentencing judge, Colleen McMahon, said she believed beyond a shadow of a doubt that there would have been no crime except that the government instigated it, planned it and brought it to fruition. In 2023 she ordered the release of three of them, calling it an FBI-orchestrated conspiracy and writing that the real lead conspirator was the United States. She freed Cromitie in 2024 on the same basis, describing him as a small-time grifter with no history of violence and Hussain as a villain who had lured him with promises of both heavenly and earthly rewards.

The Golders Green ambulances arson was a classic of this false flag genre. Four young Muslims were recruited, in this case online rather than in person, by someone they never saw who was almost certainly a Mossad agent. They were offered money to attack the ambulances, which they did. The attack is then blamed on Iran through a claim on a Telegram channel on behalf of an “Iranian organisation”, Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia, which is a Mossad fabrication.

HAYI first became known to the world through simultaneous press releases on 16 March by five Israeli government outlets in Israel, US and UK (including BICOM) and an article by the Israeli front “Foundation for Defending Democracy”. The FDD’s Nick Stewart travels with Kushner and Witkoff as part of the US negotiating team on the Middle East.

There are numerous reasons for doubting the real existence of HAYI. None of its material is in Farsi. All of its “attacks” have been minor arson attacks on pointless targets that hurt nobody. The grammar, calligraphy and imagery of its materials are all wrong.

The UK state itself has now debunked some of the Mossad HAYI narrative. On 29 April, when Essa Suleiman stabbed three men, the entire media blocked out the first Muslim victim and claimed an antisemitic terrorist attack on the two in Golders Green. The HAYI Mossad run “Iranian” Telegram channel immediately put out a statement claiming responsibility for the attack. But yesterday police and prosecution were forced to drop the claim it was a terrorist attack at all. The stabbing of the Muslim is charged as attempted murder, though still ignored by the media. So “HAYI” claimed responsibility for a non-existent terrorist incident.

A false flag can be, but is not necessarily, the state planting a bomb and then blaming someone else. It can be more complex – the state recruiting people to plant bombs. Those people may believe they are genuinely part of an ideological campaign, or may just be doing it for money.

The opaque Starmer rent-boy arson plot, in which Ukrainian male models burnt property associated with Keir Starmer, remains unclear, largely because any discussion of what lay behind the attacks was banned by the judge in the trial. But the media, with government encouragement, continually relays the story that the arsonists were recruited online by a man known as “El Money”. An interesting twist here is that the media constantly refer to him as Russian-speaking. But the evidence in court is that he spoke both Russian and Ukrainian.

Almost all adult Ukrainians can speak Russian. The number of Russians who speak Ukrainian is very small. Yet El Money is now routinely portrayed as Russian.

Which brings us to the whole question of Russian “hybrid attacks”, where we are asked to believe the narrative of the security services of states whose leaders are openly promoting war with Russia, about desultory and mysterious attacks. The rather sorry Leipzig drone is a good example. We have a more recent claim of Russian arson from Estonia, a state which has instituted massive discrimination against the 29% of its population who speak Russian.

Not only has Estonia closed Russian schools, libraries, theatres, churches, cinemas and university courses, it even refuses passports to people born and bred in Estonia, whose parents were born and bred in Estonia, if they cannot speak Estonian. That is totally contrary to numerous UN, Council of Europe and OSCE instruments on protection of minority linguistic rights.

It is one thing to insist on language qualification for citizenship for new immigrants. Many countries do. It is quite another thing to deny citizenship to a native linguistic minority. Estonia was part of Russia from 1721 to 1919 and of the Soviet Union from 1941 to 1991. It has Russian speakers.

So I decline to believe the Estonian government on Russian “hybrid attacks”.

Which brings us to the amazing “FlyDubai” hijacking and the heroic plumber who knew how to rescue a plane from a death dive because he watched Air Crash Investigation.

There are real problems with this narrative. One is that the plane is said to have dived approximately 15,000 feet in about 30 seconds. This is said to be confirmed by independent flight trackers.

The force was so enormous that the rudder ripped off the plane.

Picture a dive of 500 feet – that is more than a 40 storey building – per second. Picture that. 500 feet in a second. Imagine yourself falling that fast. The forces would be enormous inside the cabin. Anybody not strapped in would be lifted right out of their seats and probably hit the ceiling. Many would be injured. Any unfastened object, including major ones like food trollies, would be hurled about with great force. Baggage lockers would come unlocked as the weight of the bags inside was hurled up. Remember this dive ripped the rudder off. It would be impossible for anyone not strapped into their chair to keep their footing or seat.

We have a great many videos from on board the plane but nothing like this is shown. No video shows this kind of extreme situation, and the cabin at the end of the flight is remarkably undisturbed.

There is also a problem with that flight-tracking data. As pointed out by this commercial pilot on CNN, a plan can’t easily slow down in mid-air. He is disbelieving of how quickly the flight trackers show the plane returning to normal speed. He is also deeply sceptical of the ability to control the plane after the rudder came off due to loss of hydraulic fluid, and of the chances of the airframe staying together. Now compare that to the lack of cabin tumult.

I have seen it argued that if you entered the dive very gently and carefully without sudden change of pitch, and exited it similarly smoothly, then you would avoid extreme G-forces and the cabin might be relatively undisturbed. Even if so, it is hard to imagine the kind of smooth transition into the dive in the circumstances we are told were occurring in the cockpit, with the co-pilot deliberately putting the plane in a death dive while fighting with the pilot.

The smooth transition out of the dive in the official story was achieved by a plumber who knew what to do from watching Air Crash Investigation. I don’t think I need to comment on that.

We will never find out the truth about FlyDubai. The plane diverted to Saudi Arabia. The copilot who is being painted as an Islamic extremist will be isolated there and tortured by the Saudis. Netanyahu has already said Israel will join the interrogation. Do not believe any confession or evidence from the co-pilot.

The plane was a Boeing, so the USA will join the initial investigation alongside UAE, Saudi Arabia and Israel. A more potent coalition of Zionist evil does not exist. We will certainly have faked flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder evidence coming from that shower.

I do feel something has snapped in people’s willingness to believe official narratives. The Skripal narrative was even more crazy than any of these, but most people still trusted government. Thankfully that faith has been seriously shaken.

    From Craig’s Guardian link:

    – “Suleiman has also been charged with attempted murder over the unconnected stabbing of another man earlier that same day.”

The same suspect, the same day, immediately before the suspect’s journey to the scene of the other two attacks. This must be some new usage of the word ‘unconnected’ with which I am not yet familiar.

Edit: ah! It must mean “forget about this stabbing, it has nothing to do with the other two”.

On Fairford. The van livery: FUEL 2YOU, along with a telephone number : 0742 418 2599, is apparently that from a genuine business. But it was reported that it’s been misappropriated with the business in question totally oblivious to the fact.

The chaotic nature of these events, with random men seemingly recruited as fall guys and presumably at some point twigging? Then ringing the cops on themselves. does have the hallmarks of some foreign state or intel agency almost toying with UK police. But there is an inconsistency that could lead to a darker conclusion : the farmer lady who rang the police says she saw 8-10 suspicious individuals, not five. This has been explained as the Police already being there, on scene, after a suspect rang them an hour earlier. But surely the farmer would have seen flashing blue lights and parked police cars plus armed officers, in that case? Plus there is her testimony, which contradicts the idea it was the police she saw:

She said she called police just after 01:30 BST on Sunday after seeing three vans parked in a “weird formation” near RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. There was “a large group of hooded and masked men” near the vans who started to “panic” when they saw her, she said.

Why would the police panic? A rehearsal that wasn’t meant to be seen by anyone?

    • Tom Hall

The initial call to police by “one of the suspects” may have been made by an undercover spook whose job it was to lead, then thwart the operation, thus precluding an actual attack. The FBI frequently tips itself off to a “terrorist” plot they’ve devised and set in motion.
On the other hand nothing we’ve been told as yet makes any sense.

      • Goose

But even if that is correct :the idea she saw police, explaining the 8-10 people she said she saw, well, it’s hard to reconcile that with them being “panicked” and running off into the woods, upon seeing her. If anything, it suggests she maybe saw some undercover operatives, setting this whole thing up perhaps. People she wasn’t supposed to see, i.e., assets, they didn’t want taking into custody, hence them running off, abandoning vehicles.

Why did the information that one of the suspects rang police a full hour prior only emerge after the newspaper headlines had declared the farmer lady a heroine, who’d prevented an attack? And why did the farmer lady complain that no one had even contacted her, to ask her about what she saw? She was genuinely baffled as to why authorities weren’t interested and only the press were. Was someone working out a plausible explanation for what she saw?

        • Goose

Remember, that the press, especially Telegraph, Times and BBC, have sources within the police and intel agencies. Sources they call and ask, are we completely barking up the wrong tree in running this story? Precisely to avoid looking foolish if events differ dramatically from initial reports.

        • David Warriston

‘Why did the information that one of the suspects rang police a full hour prior only emerge after the newspaper headlines had declared the farmer lady a heroine, who’d prevented an attack?’

It’s a mystery to me why it was ever revealed at all. It’s bad spycraft to ‘burn’ a source inside a group. And if the police were warned earlier, it makes them look negligent.
Possibly CIA, MI5 and the local plod are all clumsily trying to cover their own backsides.

‘They all ran off from the farmer’s wife
She cut off their tails with a carving knife
          Three blind mice.’

      • Alyson

A British security services spokesman said in summary, that they would be looking into what the suspects had been told, and the extent to which they understood what they had been told to do. These were a bunch of guys from London, dressed in matching sweatshirts with logos, in vans from a legit business, wearing matching balaclavas, at the perimeter of an American airbase, involved in an operation which Trump and Netanyahu were aware of. Maybe there was a fuel scam narrative that belongs in there somewhere, but the whole event was compromised and so matching up the narratives to get to whoever planned whatever, remains a mystery for now.

It’s worth mentioning the Israeli government feels only contempt for diaspora Jews, whom they consider “yerida”, downcast, and has no compunction in using them as human shields to cover its campaign of genocide. From there to injuring some in false flags is only a small step, trifling compared to some of the other atrocities they are engaging in. And of course they have form, for a very long time:

Small typo: “UK is fill of US military bases” -> “UK is full of US military bases”.

A more serious problem is that the passage confuses high constant velocity with downward acceleration. Moving at a constant speed of 500 feet per second does not create forces that lift passengers out of their seats. Inside a closed cabin, passengers only feel forces when the aircraft changes speed or direction (accelerates). Passengers would only float or hit the ceiling if the plane accelerated downward at or faster than the rate of gravity. What’s more, as an aircraft dives faster, aerodynamic drag increases sharply. This drag acts as a braking force. It causes the plane to decelerate unless sustained by engine thrust, pushing passengers forward rather than upward.

The terrorist who tried to kill over 100 passengers was reportedly handed by the Saudis to the UAE. I imagine he will get what he deserves (a firing squad, I shouldn’t wonder).

Good news in the BBC regarding the hero Captain Smit Machchar – India’s ambassador to the UAE Deepak Mittal visited him in hospital on Thursday, he was “in good health and recovering well”. Hurrah!

The zionist occupation is a US state colony, that has been using the zionist antisemites as a Brownshirt militia for decades. The British state joined in at the turn of the century. CommercialPrivateEquitybbc is a regime stooge, fronted by a few zionazis to frighten the bourgeois pricks who work in COMPEbbc to keep quiet and take the money. It doesn’t take much to get middle class people to forget their morals, when there’s money in it.

At the end of chapter 17 of Madeleine Albright’s Hell and other destinations she tells of an 88 year old Navy vet who walked into the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and shot dead the security guard who opened the door to greet him. The assailant was quickly arrested. He carried a notebook saying ‘The Holocaust is a lie .. Obama does what his Jew owners tell him to do .. Jews control the mass media.’ He was reportedly of above average intelligence and an admirer of Adolf Hitler.
We should beware of anti-semitic nonsense.

        • zoot

It has the BBC in a death grip through figures like Robbie Gibb and Raffi Berg. Only someone who approves of every aspect of the BBC’s multifaceted complicity in genocide would respond as you have.

Am I surprised you’re also an admirer of Madeleine Albright….? What do you reckon?

    • craig Post author

I do in fact cover that point. It is the same point that a smooth gradual transition into and out of the dive might not disturb the cabin too much. But the achievement of that seems highly unlikely.

    • Bayard

“A more serious problem is that the passage confuses high constant velocity with downward acceleration. Moving at a constant speed of 500 feet per second does not create forces that lift passengers out of their seats. Inside a closed cabin, passengers only feel forces when the aircraft changes speed or direction (accelerates).”

If you knew the first thing about physics, you would know that an aircraft cannot go from a vertical speed of -30,000 feet per second to plus 10,000 feet per second in one minute without generating a g-force of 666 feet per second squared, or 16m/s2, or 1.5 G, making the total acceleration of all objects in the cabin 2.5G. Moreover, the vertical speed of 30,000 fps was achieved in maximum 30 seconds from a vertical speed of zero, which is 1,000 fps2, or 2.5G, giving a total acceleration upwards towards the back of the plane as 1.5G (all data from the Flightradar24 chart given above).

    • M.J.

A quick clarification on reading the Flightradar24 vertical speed chart for anyone following along:
      • The Unit Standard: Aviation charts measure vertical speed in feet per minute (fpm), not feet per second.
      • The Scale: A rate of 30,000 fpm equals 500 feet per second (~340 mph). Moving at 30,000 feet per second would exceed Mach 27 (orbital re-entry velocity), which no commercial airliner can physically survive.
      • The Resulting Forces: Converting the correct figures over the transition gives an average vertical acceleration of roughly 11 ft/s² (~3.4 m/s²), or approximately 0.35G.
Transitional forces of this magnitude are standard turbulence or steep pitch changes—they do not overpower gravity, and a steady descent velocity exerts zero additional G-force on the cabin.

      • Bayard

Indeed, silly of me to have confuse feet per minute with feet per second. If only the Yanks would use SI units like the entire rest of the world, this sort of thing would never happen. However, my point stands: you asked where the acceleration was and I pointed it out.

“It causes the plane to decelerate unless sustained by engine thrust, pushing passengers forward rather than upward.”

Unless the seats all face backwards, this would be just as effective at removing the passengers from their seats as an upward force.

    • Tom Welsh

That argument does not work. Somewhere between flying level and falling at 500 feet/sec, the aircraft experienced a sharp change in speed and direction. That is known as acceleration. The shorter the time the change took, the more violent the acceleration would have been. Once everything has been flung against the ceiling, the cessation of acceleration does not restore order.

      • M.J.

A dive is an aircraft flying forward down an inclined plane against drag, not a vertical freefall.
To clarify the physics for anyone reading along: entering a high descent rate does not mean the cabin was violently thrown into the ceiling.
        • The inclined plane and drag: Think of a high-speed train or car accelerating down a steep mountain gradient. It does not drop through the floor; it drives down an incline against heavy resistance. An aircraft in a dive works the same way—it flies forward down an angled ramp, pressing against aerodynamic drag, which keeps forces pushing into the seats rather than hurling people upward.
        • Tracker distortion: Public flight tracking charts visually compress these descents into artificial vertical cliffs due to sparse data reporting, but the real physical path is a drawn-out, sloping glide.
        • Structural limits: Pitching down hard enough to violently pin occupants to the roof would generate negative-G loads that would tear the wings right off the airframe.

        • Bayard

“A dive is an aircraft flying forward down an inclined plane against drag, not a vertical freefall.”

There is such a thing as a vertical dive, which is what this particular aircraft is described as doing.

“The inclined plane and drag: Think of a high-speed train or car accelerating down a steep mountain gradient. It does not drop through the floor; it drives down an incline against heavy resistance. An aircraft in a dive works the same way—it flies forward down an angled ramp, pressing against aerodynamic drag, which keeps forces pushing into the seats rather than hurling people upward.”

A car or train accelerating down a mountain gradient is nothing like an aircraft. For a start, the force of gravity is resisted by the pressure of the ground on the wheels. An aircraft has no such force. Should the car or train stop moving, it will not move downwards any further. If an aircraft stops moving through the air, it accelerates vertically downwards at a rate of 9.81m/s2. There is almost no resistance to this acceleration to start with and the resistance increases until the aircraft reaches terminal velocity, where the air resistance equals the force of gravity. Drag is proportional to the square of the velocity, so the resistance would not be heavy until the aircraft approached terminal velocity downwards. At the aircraft’s cruising speed, air resistance is very heavy as it flies well above the speed at which the air resistance equals the force of gravity. This not true of cars or trains: even the fastest is nowhere near terminal velocity.

Aerodynamic drag does not push people into their seats, only acceleration can do that, as you pointed out in your earlier comment, so, unless the plane is accelerating downwards at more than 9.81m/s2, which as you also pointed out, it is not, the net force will be downwards, i.e towards the front of the plane and away from the seats. Once the aircraft stops accelerating and starts diving at a constant speed, everything on board would be subject to the force of gravity along the axis of the fuselage, resulting in passengers, baggage and any loose objects all ending up at the front of the plane. It is no different to standing an unmoving plane full of passengers on its nose on the ground. When the aircraft starts climbing again and accelerating upwards, everything in the cabin that was at the front end would now be propelled to the back end as the force due to the aircraft accelerating would be added to that of gravity.

“• Tracker distortion: Public flight tracking charts visually compress these descents into artificial vertical cliffs due to sparse data reporting, but the real physical path is a drawn-out, sloping glide.”

Well duh, I knew that, but the reports describe the dive as “vertical”. That the line of altitude against time is also almost vertical is neither here nor there. There is not “sparse data”. Between 05:20 and 05:30 there are at least 10 data points, one a minute.

  • John Cleary

Craig, I see you using the expression “hybrid attacks” in your piece, though I’m glad to see the inverted commas.
But you did use the expression. Can you tell me what it means?
I’ve looked up the meaning of hybrid and I get “something made by combining two different elements, substances, or systems to create a single mixed form”
So the term literally means two types of attacks.
Is there something magical about the number two?
Does it make the attacks even more dastardly than is usual for the Ruskies?
What about an attack that combines three different elements? Is that something different, or another type of hybrid, or indeed three hybrids? Is it more or less serious than a hybrid, containing two different elements?

Why is it that when “serious” people use this expression to describe the world, they are never asked what they mean by this inherently nebulous term? I’d love to have the chance to pin them down on it!

    • David Warriston

The best sense I can make is that two terms have emerged: ‘kinetic’ and ‘hybrid.’ A kinetic attack is when something visible actually happens and the term has the force of a concrete noun.
A ‘hybrid’ attack cannot be readily identified in essence and has the force of an abstract noun.
Thus a hybrid attack cannot be easily disproved. It is rather like an unidentifiable potion or magic spell but evidence of witchcraft nonetheless.

Some are saying there is no way all the passengers on the Israel-bound flight could be in on such a conspiracy.
Which is true, it’s very, very unlikely. And I’m not claiming to know what happened. But why would you need every passenger involved, if say 5-10 key players are controlling the whole situation?

    • Goose

Two off-duty pilots as passengers and the proximity to Israel’s elections; elections which Netanyahu once again, as per the last ones, paints as existential, are bound to get our ‘conspiracy’ spider senses tingling.
If anyone believes that someone as ruthless as Netanyahu, wouldn’t do anything to give himself a political edge over his rivals, then which rock have you been living under? For him, it’s power or nothing. He doesn’t want to do ‘opposition’.

    • Pears Morgaine

Not just all the passengers but if the fight profile is fake then ATC, FlightRadar24 etc were all in on the conspiracy as well. Starting to stretch credibility somewhat.

      • Goose

        Pears Morgaine

Who mentioned any of those ?

After 8am the plane ascended to a cruising altitude of nearly 35,000 feet. then lost 20,000 feet over minutes.

“It was dropping like for 20, 30 seconds, and then balanced, and then started dropping again, and balanced again,” Mr Italie told Reuters. So it wasn’t a vertical nosedive.

“Then we saw that [there] are people in the front, directly [in front of] the cockpit.

“Crew members and passengers from the front of the airplane took over and got control of the two pilots.”

According to some early reports, they forced their way in. But since that’s impossible the crawling pilot opened the door.

Seems incredible that a hijacker armed with a knife (reports of an axe also?)would allow the pilot to crawl and open the cockpit door. And why would passengers know to gather there. Isn’t it protocol for crew to tell passengers to stay in their seats and put masks on?

Re: ‘The Skripal narrative was even more crazy than any of these’

If you ask me, the Skripal saga was considerably less crazy than this FlyDubai farrago. It was theoretically possible for ‘Boshirov’ & ‘Petrov’ to have put Novichok on Sergei’s door handle, than placed a sealed back-up disguised as a perfume bottle in the bin next to the Brown St car park to be picked up by Charlie Rowley a short while later. The FlyDubai stuff – untrained pilot pulling out of a steep descent over a few seconds without the engines stalling or the tailplane falling off – basically defies the laws of physics (among several other barely believable things).

Anyway, at the risk of being labelled ‘fucking stupid’ again, Counter Terrorism Police didn’t take ten days to find the perfume bottle in Charlie’s flat, because they only started searching on the Wednesday and probably won’t have worked Sunday. It was more like 6-7 days.

Yes I think it was about 6 days. But for all the effort of changing the narrative I can’t be bothered as both are equally unbelievable.

      • Re-lapsed Agnostic

Thanks for your reply Boss. Both scenarios are completely credible. Once again, CTP had *no idea* what they were looking for. Therefore, they would have prioritised items that they believed Charlie & Dawn had touched recently, such as cans, bottles, food wrappers etc, or items in Dawn’s handbag, if she owned one. Also, there’s no reason to believe that Charlie’s bedroom didn’t resemble that of a typical smackhead, i.e. strewn with used syringes, needles, stericups etc. Porton Down would only have been able to test a limited number of these items per day.

I’ll try to see if I can drop you a line about the Skripal/Sturgess tragicomedy in the next couple weeks as it may just be possible that ink on paper, rather than patterns on an organic LED matrix, will get the penny to finally drop.

        Anyway, enjoy the weekend.

Fine analysis deconstructing the official narratives with aplomb and much wit (made me smile anyway).

There is an excellent article posted on Scheerpost news today [2nd October 2026] which demonstrates that in other theatres it is not a surfeit of contradictory information which is observable but a lack of accurate information that is problematic given what is at stake. Well worth checking out is all I can say.

Professional pilot here makes the point that the aircraft may well have recovered itself from the dive.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xt9Ri37WTiA

Only part of the rudder broke away so the hydraulic systems, there are three, would have been unaffected.

If the dive was impossible and the tracking data is fake it means the world’s ATC were in on the plot as well as all the passengers. Not very likely is it? It would not be the first time a pilot, for whatever reason, has deliberately crashed.

If the Fairford incident was a ‘false flag’ you’d somehow expect them to have planted more convincing evidence and to have detained the ‘patsies’ under the terror act rather than let them out on bail. If the petrol was indeed stolen where from? It’s usually red diesel that gets taken from farms as farmers obviously keep easily accessible tanks of it to run their tractors and other machines. Keeping stocks of petrol, which is subject to much tighter regulations, would be very unusual.

As with the Starmer ‘rent boy’ plot where houses and a car previously owned by Sir Kier were targeted it all sounds more Ealing Comedy than Machiavel.

I worked at an airport once so, like Super Mario (the plumber) I have seen a many planes landing and taking off and should be an expert.

      But, I’m not.

If you or I was faced with a joystick or 1/2 a car steering wheel the first question I would ask myself ( and gulp) is:

If I pull backwards does that take the plane out of the dive?

If I push the joystick forward does that make it dive even deeper?

As I say – no expert but, since the terrible safety lapses of 9/11 aren’t thes cockpit doors meant to be terrorist proof ?

I read that to get out of the cockpit – you need a code and press a few buttons.

Now, credit to the pilot who was stabbed and hopefully took his opportunity to open the cockpit door yet he had been stabbed many times by his oppo who was intent and focused on ploughing the plane into the ground.

Of course, he would not be thinking straight as blood poured from his wounds and he knew what was happening to the plane.

We don’t know but, he may have opened the cockpit door to get some passengers to drag overwhelm the co-pilot so as that he could try to save the plane.

To be fair to him he may have known that fellow pilots were on board.

If he did he was quick thinking despite the attack.

All I know about rudder is that they move a plane from left to right.

The plane landed alright from the looks of it and if the rudder was damaged you would probably swerve on the approach to the runway.

What happens after that I’ve no idea.

Of course we will all find out eventually because you can always trust the Israel Government to tell the truth.

p.s. Fairford looks to me like this nosey woman ruined something.

What the something was/is – yet again not much idea.

And of course we acan all trust the UK Government to tell the truth.

      Can’t we?

It will all be in the papers and the TV News once everyone has got their story straight (sorry -once they have come up with what they think is a good explanation the public will swallow).

      I haven’t seen one yet – I’ll wait

      • Pears Morgaine

Possible the pilot might just have wanted to escape. We don’t know.

He may well have known there were two other pilots aboard, understandably pilot’s hours are restricted so it’s not unusual for them travel home as passengers.

    • Republicofscotland

“If the dive was impossible and the tracking data is fake it means the world’s ATC were in on the plot as well as all the passengers. Not very likely is it? ”

Erm… 9/11 and the Covid event and 7/7 had quite folk in on it – the Dubai flights crew and the passengers, and the ATC tracking it are small fry by comparison.

      • Pears Morgaine

For any of the conspiracy theories to be true any of those events would’ve needed a small army of ‘crisis actors’ and other players to work and yet over the years none have come forward and blown the whistle so to speak. Do you not think that’s odd?

    • Bayard

“If the dive was impossible and the tracking data is fake it means the world’s ATC were in on the plot as well as all the passengers”

As MJ explains above, the tracking data doesn’t show an “impossible” dive. The only evidence we have for it being vertical is the official narrative, which are probably false, given that what we would expect to happen in a vertical dive was not observed to happen, so no need for the passengers or the ATC to be in on anything.

“If the Fairford incident was a ‘false flag’ you’d somehow expect them to have planted more convincing evidence and to have detained the ‘patsies’ under the terror act rather than let them out on bail. If the petrol was indeed stolen where from? It’s usually red diesel that gets taken from farms as farmers obviously keep easily accessible tanks of it to run their tractors and other machines. Keeping stocks of petrol, which is subject to much tighter regulations, would be very unusual.”

      1. The Fairford op was blown by the farmer’s wife. Those behind it sensibly decided to stop digging when they found themselves in a hole, hence no charges on terrorism grounds. Sounds logical?

      2. It’s not said how much petrol they had. Farmers, like most householders, keep a few gallons of petrol to fuel machines with petrol engines, like lawn mowers, strimmers, pruning saws, light self-propelled farm machinery etc. Did you really not know that?

      3. The Ealing Comedy aspect of the Starmer Ukranian rent boy saga is exactly the point of the post.

Nine eleven was a watershed moment for American airbases in Britain. Prior to that date Mildenhall base was quite integrated with the town. Local people worked in catering on the base. Americans shopped in the town. Sundays were car boot sales, and collectors fairs on the base, which locals and servicemen frequented. Courtesy and amiability were lovely. After nine eleven all servicemen were pulled back inside the perimeter fence and local people lost their jobs. Security was tightened and fraternising with the locals ceased.

    • Stevie Boy

I think you’ll find America was still killing innocent people via Mildenhall, and other UK bases, prior to 911.
Ignorance might be bliss, but it’s still no excuse in the eyes of the law.

      • Alyson

My feeling is that the servicemen and women still saw themselves as NATO defence, looking after the countries they were listed in. Cyprus was a very pleasant stationing, for families of British servicemen. My memory of the eleven three tsunami in Japan was of America sending plane loads of helicopters, blankets, and food rations and working round the clock to rescue people. Likewise when the Indus floods were 100 miles wide, a year or two later, American military sent hovercraft of every size to rescue people clinging to higher ground. They were heroes in their own minds and their leaders encouraged pride in being an American around the world.

Iraq and Libya ended that illusion. If Vietnam was a betrayal of American patriots and drafted civilians. Today America is feared, by allies as much as by the countries targeted by them. But there used to be a time when America would offer help as part of their soft power around the world.

        • Cornudet

My feeling is that you overestimate the affection that the pandemic masses of mankind had for the US even in the immediate aftermath of World War 2. Kurt Vonnegut, an American writer who was happy to describe himself as a socialist, has one of the characters in his novel Cat’s Cradle asseverate that what a reactionary capitalist character sees as envy for the US across the globe is in fact fear and hatred. Though the Soviet Union was portrayed as the ultimate bete noir in the post 1945 world order the US was truly the most hated and feared. And with good reason, for the US and its proxies – Suharto, Syngman Rhee Pol Pot, sundry Israeli leaders – have perpetrated mass murder on an industrial scale.

In his book Koba the Dread, a study of Josef Stalin, Martin Amid asks why so many people were prepared to give the Soviet Union the ideological equivalent of the benefit of the doubt for so long. For my own part I can only say that the East bloc offered the hope at least that the murderous capitalist imperialist model could be replaced with a system which might strive for human betterment, the debate taking on an unparalleled profundity given the advent of nuclear weapons, with humankind now having the means to bring about its own extinction.

Though he might balk at the paraphrase, the alternative appears to be that of a boot stamping on a human face forever, as in Orwells nightmare vision.

Estonia was twice victim to violent and oppressive take over by the Soviet Union. Over 60,000 Estonians were murdered post 1945 and as many deported. The country was subject to the usual ‘Russification’ experienced by other Soviet states, the native culture being suppressed in favour of Russian and forced immigration reducing the number of ethnic Estonians in the country from 88% to 62%. Little wonder they don’t trust Russians.

The process continues, ethnic Russians are being shipped into occupied areas of Ukraine, 800,000 have been sent to Crimea alone although i believe few stayed very long. Now there are verified reports of all Churches apart from Russian Orthodox being closed with the Pastors being arrested and tortured.

The opening sentence in the recommended link sets the tone for the tsunami of religious crankery which follows. Assertion absent of evidence. I wonder what the ‘National Commander of the Ecumenical Patriarchate’ had to say about the 14,000 killed and accompanying atrocities that followed the overthrow of the Ukrainian government in 2014.
Maybe as much as Pears has to say about the almost 1 million Russians shipped out of Ukraine by the Azov battalion. The ones now returning to their original homes.
The Azov crew certainly had it coming and were broken in Mariupol, their H.Q. Death before surrender they shouted: then surrendered. Once the entire game is up their remnanats will relocate across Europe to regroup for the next time.

J.K Redux. Here is a “smidgen” of evidence for Davis Warriston’s “assertion” on the effects of the Azov’s invasion of the Donbass in 2014. “The large influx of individuals seeking asylum in Russia began in July 2014 when the most intensive hostilities evolved. By the end of 2014 (data from 5
December 2014) the number of Ukrainian citizens who stayed in the territory of Russia increased by more than 0.9 million and went up to 2.5 million persons. Deterioration of living conditions in the territory of the so-called Novorossiya and bitter fighting which flared up in the region of Debal’tsevo
and Mariupol in January–February 2015, further increased the number of people who fled from the war. By March 2015 the number of Ukrainian citizens in Russia increased to 2.6 million and afterwards stabilised at that level.” (VLADIMIR MUKOMEL “Migration of Ukrainians to Russia in 2014–2015. Estonia has a population of under 1.40 million people, 69% of whom are ethnic Estonians, 22 % ethnic Russians and the rest made up of Ukrainians, Belarusians and odds and sods. Ethnic Russians are not the only ones who use Russian as a first language even though it is now regarded as a foreign language secondary to Estonian. Others also use Russian. Half of ethnic Russians are Estonian by birth and most are Estonian citizens who participate in the country’s political life, voting etc. joining political parties and joining coalition governments that are prone to collapse. Ethnic Russians and Estonians and Russian speaking Estonians co-exist as one would expect in a democracy. Not all Russian speakers support Russia, not all ethnic Estonians are hostile to Russia albeit many are in the current situation. It is far from being a binary situation as you imply, even though that’s how the unelected European Commission elite likes to project it to advance their Russophobia and warfare.
Your paragraph regarding Crimea is so baseless as to make comment a waste of space.

The excuses are in, the countdown now starts. USrael and it’s western hemorrhoids will attack Iran within the next four weeks.
Tues 27th October, the only democracy in the ME, has an election to find the most evil Jew in Israel.
Tues 3rd November, the leaders of the free world, has an election to decide if Trump has killed enough women and children.
By the end of November, three US aircraft carriers and two amphibious landing groups will be positioned near Iran. The carriers will require mid air refueling for its planes if they attack Iran. So, the usual suspects will be sending air tankers to help with the killing.
News sources also indicate that Israel will be supplying a team of specialist plumbers and suicide counsellors to support the carriers.

    • JohnnyOh45

      Stevie Boy:
Wouldn’t it be be more likely that the belligerent Nations conduct their Aggression against Iran before their respective elections, knowing that the retaliation will be devastating and would trigger (no pun intended) a state of emergency/war in their own countries ? This wouuld then necessitate the postponement of their upcoming elections which the belliegrents in Chief know all too well the forecast is for them to lose (bigly). If the plan is for World War III why bother with democracy ? Similarly if this is a psy-op and Iran initiates pre-emptive first strikes then the same rationale plays out. Another alternative is that the forces amassing are to put pressure on Iran to concede some issues in the back channel negotiations ? The hyped AI risks currently all over the MSN in the last few weeks may also be an attempt to provide plausible deniability for any trigger that leads to financial credit/Bond collapse aswell as AI generated pre-emptive strike against Iran re-igniting the fuse for World War III.

      Just riffing.

However, Netanyahu has a target on him as a patsy for Trump, so he has nothing to lose and everything to gain by starting an action before the elections and possibly nullifying them. On Israel.

BBC’s Nicholas Watt, stated last night on Newsnight, that Zack Polanski doesn’t really support attempts by Green party members to designate Zionism as a racist ideology, at their conference. The last time the prospect of this came up at their spring confeence. it was talked out by wrecking tactics and Polanski denied he had any personal issue with it passing. Of course a belief in the right to a Jewish homeland is exclusionary and therefore discriminatory when 20% of Israel is Arab. If British people started talking about a Christian homeland and special privileges for those of one faith, how would that not be discriminatory or racist policy?

    • Goose

Got the ridiculous spectacle, of right-wing journos trying to justify Zionism’s legitimacy in opinion pieces, knowing full well such openly discriminatory beliefs; based on some disputed biblical text, would be completely unacceptable as a basis for discrimination in their own countries. Amazing, how western US, UK politicians are prepared turn themselves inside-out, doing mental contortions, when it comes to trying to justify Israel’s discriminatory regime.

On Channel 4 news, he was asked repeatedly if he supports the conference motion : yes or no? And he tried to avoid answering the question, before finally saying, he’ll wait to hear the arguments in the debate.

He’s very strong in his support for Gaza, giving a powerful, passionate speech which was well received in the conference hall, there are snippets of it on X. But he’s clearly scared of upsetting what is a powerful lobby by making the party overtly anti-Zionist.

To be fair to Zack, it’s easy for random strangers like us here, to criticise his anxieties, but Israel is a ruthless country when it comes to political opponents. I personally believe much of Spanish govts recent problems, and those of Pedro Sanchez, are either generated or inflamed by Israel, the US, or both. Especially recent mass invasions of Ceuta. Spain, along with Ireland, are probably Israel’s sternest critics in Europe , both frequenty draw Netanyahu’s ire. And Zack doesn’t want people like Trump and Rubio on his case. Taking a stand against Israel means taking a stand against the U.S. and it’s difficult. Adopt this position and Zack may find hiss bank account frozen and he can no longer use his credit/debit cards like has happened to the ICC judges. The U.S. is deploying vindictive extrajudicial punishments, as if we’ve regressed 500 years, to a less civilised age.

Let’s face it The Greens are the only UK -wide party taking such a stance so no point being too harsh.

          • Stevie Boy

Sorry, I believe he’s a total fake. However, putting that aside I consider the Greens to be a major threat to democracy, such as it is. I’ve seen and heard nothing to change my opinion that they are all completely mad and out of touch with reality.
Politicians will say anything to gain power, as such their opinions on the ME are irrelevant, IMO.

        • Robert Hughes

You make some good points re Zack The ( blunt? ) Knife, G, and, aye, it is easy for people like ourselves to criticise ‘ from our sofas ‘. Then again, we’re not the ones seeking power, eg in yr man’s case, to become P.M, ie have power over * the people *.

I think we have to be stringent in our assessment of those who do seek power, even if they claim to be doing so for altruistic motives: maybe more so in that instance. How devalued have the tropes of ‘ Hope ‘ become

There is no possible compromise with the Israeli/Zionist fanatics; THEY never compromise, and we’ve seen what they do to anyone who does. To them compromise = weakness.

While his position on, eg Gaza is at least better than his peers, that isn’t really saying much. But his position on the Proxy War says to me that he fundamentally doesn’t have a clue, or does know what’s REALLY going on and is content to nod along with it. Either way I seriously doubt he has the necessary awareness, honesty and strength to even begin to turn around the dire state of UK Politics

I do feel something has snapped in people’s willingness to believe official narratives

I think you are wrong. I had a subscription to the FT until recently, still a fairly serious newspaper whose readers like to think they are well-informed. The comments sections publish a range of opinions, there’s less censorship than on most forums. But the comments that parrot official lies (“Putin is another Hitler” etc) routinely get 10x as many “recommends” as the sceptical comments.

  • capn_bob

Further to M J ‘s comments: I am speaking as a retired physicist, not an aeronautical engineer, and have little knowledge of the details of drag etc in aircraft. That being said, two posts down from FlightRadar24’s original post on X, somebody has put straight lines on the graph to get the actual time of descent, suggesting that this was approximately two minutes, not thirty seconds. Because acceleration is distance/s/s, this affects the acceleration estimation drastically. 2 minutes is 4 times longer than 30 seconds, so the acceleration is 16 times less. From (very) simple calculations using Newton’s equations of motion, the revised (slower) numbers would give an acceleration experienced by the plane in the vertical direction of approximately 7.5 per cent of the acceleration due to gravity, so there would be a noticable effect, and as M J correctly states, there would be no upward acceleration of the passengers or objects inside the plane. Passengers would maybe (?) feel a little lighter and (maybe?) experience butterflies in their stomach (I am guessing). They would certainly be aware of the descent. The velocity in the vertical direction at the end of the two minute dive would be about 200 miles per hour, but the plane would presumably still be travelling at approximately 500mph in the horizontal direction, making a combined velocity (by Pythagoras) of about 540 mph. This is an extremely simplistic calculation, and I have ignored any drag effects referred to by M J, and I bow to his obviously greater knowledge of the field, but even these calculations both support his arguments and make a little more sense of things. I find it very difficult to believe that 100+ passengers were all part of a false flag op. I do note, however, using the same equations of motion, the plane was only approx 52 seconds from striking the ground. so it was decidedly dodgy if it was somehow intended to be a victimless covert operation.
I still find the whole narrative decidedly odd and suspicious.

“Once again, the British state is exploiting anti-democratic terrorism measures to secure convictions of Palestine Action defendants who targeted an Israeli weapons plant. UK media is currently forbidden from reporting on the trial.
From October 5th, an eight-week-long trial of nine Palestine Action activists known as the Instro 10 will begin at London’s Old Bailey. The defendants are accused of criminal damage, burglary – trespass including criminal damage – and violent disorder.

In keeping with several recent cases brought against the activist collective, which the British state proscribed as a terrorist entity in July 2025, the jury and public are not allowed to know – and the British media is prohibited from reporting – that if activists are convicted of any offenses, they could be sentenced as terrorists.”

Re Fairford I think you are right in your top two scenarios, but you could go a step further by combining them.
If you were an MI6 (or whatever) team charged with recruiting some patsies to take the fall for an attack on a US base it might be smart to pose as a yankee serviceman to find a group of disaffected youth with criminal tendencies and offer to sell the some knocked off diesel from the base.
You’d arrange to meet them near the base in a white van and transfer some barrels of fuel to their van(s) for cash. If they were somewhat inclined to blame the US for the fuel crisis you could build on that to make them appear as supporters of Iran, have them watch some dodgy videos to appear in their browse history etc.. So you’d get them at the base perimeter and plant some traces of explosive material in their van with the fuel, set off a small charge against the fence and disappear as a security team turned up to catch them in the act.
Only trouble was the blooming farmer calling the plod before you managed the handover. They genuinely thought they were thieving usaf fuel, the plod knew nothing, the patsies would have been ‘captured’ by base security and held under military terms – they’d probably end up believing themselves that they were intending to bomb a b1 rather than just nick some gas

One thing that puzzled me from the first report onwards and noone has raised is why 3 vans and only 5 people. One guy was on his own in a van? Why did they need 3. You could get quite a haul of stolen fuel or a powerful bomb in one van and park up a second one to escape in. Only makes sense if the third van was the security handler or team.

Craig in the post before was rather gloomy. Understandably.

However if this post now on ConsortiumNews is introduced by such a statement:

“The failure of the Fairford “terror plot” and the FlyDubai “hijacking” show that the public’s willingness to believe official narratives has shrunk significantly. ”

    That is an undoubted win.

We may take our exchanges for instance in this online space as given.
But the fact that everyday folks like us question government press conferences and statements made by secret intelligence – the fact that scholars today are openly brought in connection with the CIA e.g., and in fact challenged in public – that millions of people stop believing the BBC, the NYT, WaPo or the GUARDIAN – unthinkable 20 years ago. Not to say 50 years ago. Or all these arguments over “narrative” and which “narrative” is right or wrong – are undeniable signs of change which cannot just be reversed.

It may be true that Noam Chomsky in 2022 stated rather soberly that Western censorship of Russian press media is worse than during the 3rd Reich. But media are not press any more. They go well beyond.

It doesn´t make the fate of Palestine Action or the Ulm 5 in Germany easier. But the fact that – as Caitlin Johnstone a little time ago wrote pointedly – Julian Assange is alive, is free and is “back”, should be worth something.

Same goes for Edward Snowden who gave a speech online on the occasion of Max Blumenthal´s journalism award.

Or when did over a dozen high diplomats quit their positions in plain sight as they did under the Biden Administration due to Gaza?

Great article Craig, as ever. It is worth pointing out though, that the majority of the Great British public swallow this stuff hook, line and Mossad flavoured sinker.

Fairford has all the hallmarks of a botched “false flag” and we await to see how the narrative will spin – as with Skripal the secret service perpetrators do not give up easily. We still await the Hughes travesty of an Inquiry report. With FlyDubai, “a kind of UAE version of Ryanair” as described by Craig who flew with it just a few weeks ago on his trip to Russia, more information is needed to come to a conclusion that it was all “false flag” as opposed to a coincidental opportunity for Netanyahu and Modi for that matter to “make hay”.
On the other hand these two are known buddies as shown by Modi’s recent hugging trip to Israel. Again strange coincidence that Trump and Rubio on the one hand and Netanyahu on the other seemed to be very woke to the incidents as they became known. There are multiple ways of creating “false flags” which I am sure forms part of the intelligence services’ training curricula.

We in Australia saw a string of breathlessly reported ‘antisemitic attacks’ in late 2024 thru 2025, the ultimate provenance of which is still unclear, though Iran enjoys a significant lead on other contenders, mostly consisting of ‘shadowy’ foreign organised crime actors. There has been a remarkable lethargy in the pursuit of these leads. The fundamental question of motive (cui bono?) has not been asked let alone answered, publicly at least, and so the identity of the real prime suspects remains occluded.

    https://michaelwest.com.au/antisemitism-crisis-what-is-real-and-what-is-not/

    Fake terror plots
The panic has been sustained by a series of high profile incidents that do not survive scrutiny. In Sydney, the so called caravan plot and multiple graffiti and vehicle fire cases were initially framed as antisemitic attacks. Later reporting revealed hoaxes, staged events, or criminal activity unrelated to antisemitism as a social phenomenon. Corrections arrived quietly, long after the alarm had done its work.
The Melbourne Synagogue fire was, we are told, the work of Iran, so it too cannot be seen as a result of local antisemitism.
More damning still was evidence from police inquiries that hundreds of antisemitic incident reports were generated by a single individual, identified as a Jewish teenager who made more than 500 calls alleging threats and attacks. These reports were logged, counted, and publicly relied upon as indicators of a statewide and national surge before being identified as false or self generated.
This is not a footnote. It exposes a systemic failure. A reporting framework that allows one person to materially inflate incident figures is not measuring social harm. It is manufacturing it. When that data is amplified by media and cited by politicians as proof of crisis, the error ceases to be technical. It becomes political.
Political amplification has been decisive. Senior leaders talked up early claims before facts were settled. Media followed. Initial allegations raced into headlines. Clarifications barely whispered.
