Project Ukraine – leading to loss of democracy – in Romania

Recently there were presidential elections in Romania, a right wing person who likes Russia and wants the war in Ukraine to end, won the first round.
The E.U./Romania decided to cancel the second round, now they have arrested the first round winner, whilst he was on his way to put his papers in, for the new elections.
Romania is very keen to support Ukraine, via NATO.
But not all Romanians – want this future, of trying to bring down Russia.

This smacks of a desperation of the “holders” of the status quo of the E.U.
If we have been supporting Ukraine because we support Democracy, should we not support Democracy in the countries of the E.U.?
